Coupons.com currently has a great high value coupon on California Pizza Kitchen pizzas. There are actually 3 coupons listed enabling you to print 6 by hitting your back botton on your browser and printing again. Take advantage of these coupons as they don’t expire until the end of July. Sometime from now and then I am sure there will be a great deal on them somewhere.

Start Your Herb Garden

by Cindy on April 27, 2009

234x60 Windowbox Banner

The weather was so beautiful this weekend that it gave me the opportunity to plant a vegetable garden. This will be my first time planting a large, in the ground garden as I don’t have a whole lot of property to be taken over by veggies. Hopefully we will have a nice supply of tomatos, zucchini & peppers for the summer months. My herb garden was a different story. That I plant every year but I do it in pots. I found this great site, Windowbox.com that offers containers that would be great for planting herbs. The smell of oregano, basil, rosemary right outside my window sounds yummy. Click the link above for their website. Plus, what a great Mother’s Day present that would make. Use Code WBX1294 for $10 off any order of $100 or more.

Sign up for ShopRite Family

by Cindy on April 26, 2009

ShopRite is offering a new promotion called ShopRite Family. The promo is linked to your price plus card. Go here to join. It works by simply signing up and linking your price plus card to your ShopRite Family account. When you purchase items from the participating products such as, Kraft, Kelloggs, Nestle, Kimberley Clark, etc., you will earn points that will show up at the bottom of your reciept. You can take your points and trade them in for different items. Some items you can receive are a Redbox Free Rental(75 points needed) or $2 off at ShopRite(100 points needed). I am personally going to just let my points add up and use it only on the $2 off at ShopRite. You really do nothing but your regular shopping and just keep an eye on the bottom of your reciept. When you have the amount of points you need…log in to your ShopRite Family account through the shoprite.com page and redeem your reward. So sign up today and start adding up the points. I did it on Friday and when I went to ShopRite on Saturday I already picked up 1 point. I don’t even know what I bought but it showed up on my receipt so shop away and earn your points starting today.

Pathmark Shopping Today

by Cindy on April 25, 2009

Ran into Pathmark to take advantage of some of their 3 day sale items. Love Pathmark’s receipts because they show how much you saved even for 1/2 price items. ShopRite does not show that. Spent $50.14 and saved $79.36…yeap that is what it says at the bottom of my receipt. Here is what I bought:

11 1/2 lbs. (4 pkgs) America’s Choice Boneless Chicken Breast 1.79/lb $20.50
5 3/4 lbs. (2 pkgs) 80% Ground Beef 1.67/lb $9.55
2 doz America’s Choice Eggs $.77 each (3 day sale)
12 boxes Barilla Pasta $.79 each
4 America’s Choice Ketchup .77 each (3 day sale)
1 Daisy Sour Cream $1.66
2 Kellogg’s Raisin Bran Crunch $1.88 each
1.62 lbs Fuji Apples $2.41
1 Blackberries $.98 (3 day sale)
1 Cantaloupe .99
2 V8 Fusion $2.50 each

Coupons:
V8 Fusion $2.00 Printable
Raisin Bran Crunch $1.00 Printable
Barilla Piccolini Pasta $1.00/2 (3/29 SS) NOTE: I only purchased 4 of this type the rest I did not use a coupon. Hubby wanted whole wheat…thought I had coupons for this but I didn’t..must of used them already
Daisy Sour Cream $.60/1 (4/5 SS) doubled

Total spent: $50.14

Total for week so far(Friday-Friday): $75.89

NOTE: There were $1.00 coupons on the chicken packages for $1.00 off the chicken if you buy Reynolds Wrap. Reynolds wrap is not on sale right now even though I have $1/1 coupons for them. I am going to hang onto the coupons and see if I can find a time when the Reynolds wrap and chicken are on sale at the same time. I also have a rebate form (not available any longer) for free Reynolds wrap Recycled so I’ll see if I can snag that on a sale and get even more savings.

No more coupons or posting for today…..too nice outside to be shopping or blogging. Enjoy the sunny day.

Lysol Moneymaker at ShopRite

by Cindy on April 25, 2009

A moneymaker at ShopRite does not happen too often but thanks to the keen eye of my sister-in-law Jodi, she has uncovered a great deal. If you have just started to coupon this will work great for you. Starting Sunday, 4/26 at ShopRite, Lysol products will be on sale for $1.88 each. There will be various Lysol coupons in this Sunday’s paper in the SmartSource insert as well as a rebate when you buy 3 different Lysol products. Click here for the rebate.

This is the scenario I have come up with:

1 Lysol All Purpose Pourable Cleaner $1.88 -$.75/1 4/26 SS insert (doubled)
1 Lysol All Purpose Trigger Cleaner $1.88 – $.75/1 4/26 SS insert (doubled)
1 Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner Trigger $1.88 – $.75/1 4/26 SS insert (doubled)

Total after coupons: $1.14 for all 3

Then submit the rebate form to Lysol and receive $3 from making this a moneymaker of $1.86.

My ShopRite Trip Today/Markdowns

by Cindy on April 25, 2009

I thought I would share a typical trip to ShopRite. This is what I was able to walk away with paying $25.75.

1 Sobe Life Water 1.00
1 ShopRite Gallon OJ 1.99 (1/2 price)
6 Ortega Taco Seasoning .67 each
4 Dole Frozen Fruit 2.99 (3.29 – .30 price plus)
3 Pictsweet Frozen Vegetable .88 (1.39 – .51 price plus)
4 Red Peppers 1.14 (clearance)
6 Zucchini .87 (clearance)
8 Portuguese Rolls 1.39 (1/2 price)
1 loaf Marble Rye Bread 1.324 (1/2 price)
1 Barbara’s Puffin Cereal 2.49 (3.49 – 1.00 price plus)
1 Strawberries 1.49 (1.99-.50 price plus)
1 Chloe X-Virgin Olive Oil 2.99 (on clearance for 3.99 – 1.00 price plus)
1 Pomp Olive Oil 2.99 (1/2 price)

Total: $36.36

Coupons used:
Barbara’s $1/1
Dole Frozen Fruit $.75/1 (used 4 double to $1.50)
Ortega $.75/2 (used 3 however it was double to $1.34 making them all free)
Sobe Get one free (catalina from another shopping trip)
Canvas Bag Credit .15

Total: $24.19

Then received 2 catalina coupons (these are the coupons that print out from the register) for $2 off the next order. This was from purchasing the Dole Frozen Fruit.

Then I purchased:
4 Ortega Salsa $1.64 each (1/2 price)

Total: $6.56

Coupons used:
Ortega $.75/2 (used 2 doubled)
$2 catalina from previous order

Total: $1.56

Total for both orders $25.75

My lesson learned for tonight was that they have a lot of bakery and produce reductions on Friday nights. The lady was pulling the bakery items off the shelf as I was there. I only bought 2 bakery items because I am running out of room in my freezers. I’ll keep the rolls frozen until we have burgers. I was planning on making this Olive Oil Zucchini Cake from Stacy Snacks blog this weekend so the Zucchini on clearance was a great find.

I hope this helps to get people going with coupons and looking for great deals.
