Spent $53.10 Saved $65.47
I have to say that this has to be one of my best shopping trips ever. Now I know what you are thinking that you have seen me save a whole lot more than this. What makes this better is that, besides the 3 boxes of Cheerios & olive oil, every thing is produce, meat, dairy & bakery. All items that don’t usually have coupons. Here is what I got:
2 twin packs of Thomas English Muffins
3 boxes Cheerios
5 Bags of Salad
1 Bag of Coleslaw
3 bottles Maries Salad dressing (see Lisa…I got it)
1 Wholly Guacamole
1 Wholly Salsa
6 Portuguese rolls
6 Twist Rolls
12 Mini Twist Rolls
1/2 loaf Bakery Rye
32 oz bottle Olive Oil
2 lbs. cherries
1 lb. Black Bear Deli turkey
1 bag baby carrots
The milk was free from buying the 3 Cheerios. All the bread I picked up at ShopRite 1/2 price. My ShopRite takes all the bakery items that expire within the next day and marks them 1/2 price on Friday night. I buy as much as I like and freeze most of it. They do that with produce as well but there was nothing good this time.
Something else I got when I was out was abunch of coupons. The one thing I have learned is to keep your eyes open because you never know where you will find a coupon. I have found blinkies with milk coupons in the condiment aisle. Go figure. Today I found $55/1 coupons for pouches of Bumble Tuna and the tuna was on sale for $1.00 making it free. The only problem was that they were out of the tuna. So I grabbed a
few a lot of coupons and got my raincheck.
I was going to go to A&P to get the free stuff with the triple coupons but quite honestly I have so much of that stuff stockpiled already. I will, however, go to Kmart if they do wind up having doubles locally. I’ll keep you posted on that.
What did you save this weekend. We would love to know. Drop me an email or post a comment.
