Pathmark Coupon Policy

Here is your Pathmark Coupon Policy updated 10/2/10:
- Double manufacturer coupons up to and including $0.99. Coupons over that amount will be redeemed at face value.
- Only 4 like paper coupons allowed per product.
- Internet Printed Coupons: 2 allowed per product. Each coupon can not exceed $5.00 in value. Internet coupons for Free items are not accepted.
- Store coupons can be stacked with manufacturer coupons
- Zaver eCoupons can be loaded onto your price rewards card.
- Do Not Double Coupons: Some coupons will state “Do Not Double” on the coupon. If the first number of the coupon is a 5 then it will automatically double unless the cashier stops it from doubling. It will really depend on your store and their policies as to if they will allow these to double.
- Store coupons: face value only; limit 1 per transaction

Do all pathmarks double up to 99 or do some only doublr to 50 sprecifivally the stores in bristol pa and fairless hills pa
@jeff, I believe they all have the same policy because they are not individually owned and operated so they get their policies direct from corporate.

The Brookhaven PA store only doubles up to $.50. A $.75 coupon is worth a dollar.
I believe that they have updated their policy because now they double up to .99 and also they double coupons that state DO NOT DOUBLE. So if I have a .75 coupons the multiplier will give me another .75 off
It is possible to get coupons from magazines and newspaper ads. Pay close attention the to the expiration dates on them too. If you have access to the web go to the internet sites for the merchandise you use. A great number of of them offer coupons that they will mail to you or that you’ll be able to print at dwelling. If these web-sites present an opt in list for you to obtain promotions and coupons by e-mail then take advantage of it.
Unfortunately the 2 Pathmark Stores in NYC do not double coupons. NYC never gets the good deals! I guess these stores think if you live in NYC you have $$$ which is not true. So frustrating.
Cindy, your blog helps me out so much! Thankyou!
I’m a little confused about the 4 coupon per product policy. Can you use 4 coupons per item of the same product? Or 1 coupon per item for 4 items of the same product?
One coupon per item, limit four “identical” coupons for four qualifying items
how is it that the woman posting from pathmark in your latest shopping blog said her store fully doubles up to $2 and how do you find out what a store does?
last week i shopped Pathmark and linked many coupons from their site to my store card and I also had clipped coupons for the same items. For example: $1.50 off dayquil and $1.50 off nyquil. The cashier accepted all my coupons but when i went home realized they did not deduct the “ZVR” online coupons. Do you know if there is anything in their policy which states you cannot use both clipped and online coupons. I have emailed pathmark, but have not heard back as yet with a solution. thanks!
Jackie, is your pathmark card that you used to save your Zavers coupons the same one you used at the store? This happened to me and I didn’t even know I had 2 cards. I set up my Zavers account with my Pathmark card but when I go to Pathmark, i always just put in my phone number as my Pathmark card. Well, as it turned out, my phone number was attached to an old Pathmark card which was not the card I used to set up my Zavers account. So, be sure to check and make sure that you are using the same number.
Correction on your internet coupon policy “…Each coupon can not exceed $5.00 in value.”. I spoke to their corporate office and it is now they do not accept internet coupon of $5 or more. So if you have a $5 coupon, it’s not good. It’s ridiculous because I don’t know any company that gives out $4.99 manufacturer coupons! I won’t be shopping at PM anymore.
does anyone know if pathmark takes competitors coupons?
No they do not take competitor coupons
what about internet manufr printed coupons that say’s “REDEEMABLE at so and so…)..Do they accept it?
does Double manufactorers coupons mean i have to for instance bring two coupons for the one item?
No.. you dont need two coupons to get double the amount off.. for instance if you buy a box of cereal for 3$ and you have one coupon for .50 off.. that one coupon will be doubled to 1.00 off. Hope that helps
P.s. Manufacturer coupons can also be used in conjunction with cellfire coupons (which are added from the website directly to your store card) and they can also be used with the actual store deals and store coupons.
I was wondeing, I heard they have a 10 coupon limit per order, Is this true and can I go several times with one card or can I make several transactions at the store in one trip, also do I have to save my Zavers coupons repetedly for the same products or are they on there for good?
I went to my Pathmark store in Edgewater Park, NJ. I had more than 1 PAC card and was told by a very nasty Pathmark worker that it was a limit of 10 coupons per transaction per family. It did not matter how many cards I had and they would not allow me to do more than 1 transaction. I tried to do the self check out, but that same nasty worker made sure I went to a regular checkout and even though she was not my cashier She watched my transaction. I could have paid for my full order, but it would have cost me regular retail.
I am not clear does anyone know if it is normally their policy to linit it to 10 coupons per transation??
She stated that it was not her policy and since the money does not go into her pocket, she really did not care, but that was the rules handed down by their corporate offices. I don’t think she was a manager.
I usually don’t go to Pathmark. I go to ShopRite. I might try another
I called my local store and they insisted there is a 10 coupon “per person” per day limit. I asked why it says “per order” in the ad. They had no answer. Also said your PAC card will detect that you’ve used 10 coupons and won’t triple after that. I called the corp. office in Montvale *twice* and both of the people I spoke with there said it is “per transaction” and your PAC card won’t stop tripling as long as it is a separate order, you can go to more than one store, etc. I called the store back with that information and the person immediately apologized and said she stands corrected. I wish they could all get on the same page. I’m assuming it will come down to the local manager. The feeling I got is they’re really only worried about people “hoarding” all the product or trying to check out multiple orders in a row. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow, but I will reference my conversations with the corp. office if anyone gives me a hard time.
Thanks Laurie, sometimes is the person you get! they are having a bad day and they want to pass it down to you!!! I was stop as well by the head cashier! once I called corporate, when in and spoke with the general manager. The harassment stop! I go in and I don’t have a problem anymore….
When I shopped that day I checked out 10 times and never had a problem. I did self-checkout and also went to different cashiers. I left the store, loaded up my car and went back in. On the last couple of orders I actually left my paid for bags in my cart (tied up) and went back through. My mother also did several transactions, but she did them back-to-back with the same cashier. Another cashier piped in and told the cashier helping my mom she wasn’t “allowed” to do that, but the cashier helping my mom told the other one to mind her own business. The experience you have all comes down to the cashier’s mood and/or personality. Corp. policy clearly stated “per order or transaction” so when push came to shove they couldn’t really stop a person from checking out multiple times. It is a shame people have to call corp. though just to shop peacefully at a local store. They should have all the managers, asst. managers, head cashiers and cashiers on the same page.
Oh wow Julie!! the same thing happened to me at the Weehaken Pathmark. Is the head cashiers and they are very nasty indeed! I learn my lesson. Look for the young cashier or do it yourself. I do multiple transactions on the self check out. I take my time. I pick my largest order of multiple by 4 only 3 different items and I check out. Put items in my car then go back inside. “there is no policy saying you can’t do that” I do not used the regular registers. It is a mess, the game has change and we need to learn how to come out on top.
Julie the Pathmark in Franklin Square, NY on Long Island does not limit 10 coupons because I use way more than that. Around the time you asked this question, they did have double & triple coupons for 2-3 wks & there was a limit of 10 coupons during that promotion. Maybe that was the case. I am know as the coupon queen of that store because I have 20 or more coupons at a time. Hope this helps.
i shop there too , sometimes i get nasty cashiers too , but now i go to self checkout ,if you get in same situation ask them in writing corporate proof , not just there hand writing . i go by face , if cashier has mean face i do not go near them . some are nice there too
I have heard different stories from different people, I think it depends on the store? I am not sure but one friend was told by the manager she just had to go out to the car and drop stuff off and then come back in? I am new to pathmark as well and this deal seems to be tricky depending on who is there.
Does Pathmark allow overages? IE do they adjust the coupon downward to the price of the item when the coupon is a higher value than the item, or do they allow the difference of the value of the coupon and the item to go toward the rest of your order? TIA
Karen they do not allow overages like you see on Extreme Couponing, unfortunately.
well since ive been going i have had to buy only 4 like items and based on 10 coupons per transaction, and i was able to breakup order into 3 seperate transactions under my pathmark advantage card, then i bought in my boyfriend to take advantage of 3o more items under his advantage card…
We need a store that takes unlimited amounts of coupons for one item, i mean the people on extreme couponing buy stuff like 93 bags of croutons at one time and nathan engels came out of his market with over 2000 items in one shop..
No Karen , Pathmark does not allow overages. They just adjust n
the amount down to the price of the item with the coupon is higher than the price. For example over the weekend dueing the triples, I bought the Jello Temptations and they were on sale for $2.99. My dollar off coupon would triple to $3.00, but I only received $2.99 off for the product. It was still free, so I was happy, but I did not get the penny overage.
I really wonder how those women on the Extreme Couponing show manage to get the overages. I assume other food stores in other areas allow that.
Does anyone in NY or NJ actually ever get overages from their coupons, just curious?
Julie
I have never gotten any overages either, not sure where they get them but I would love to find out so I can shop there
.
Krogers and Publix
If I have coupons on my pathmark card will they match up with my manufacturer coupons.. for example if there is a coupon on my Pathmark card for 3 dollars off Venus razors and I have a coupon for 3 dollars.. will both come off the item…
In your match ups for Pathmark, you have a target coupon for Breyers?? I believe. Pathmark accepts other store coupons even if it states on the coupon, target or walmart??
Hi!
Does anyone know if any foodstores in NJ allow overages? None near me in South Jersey do..
Hi!
Does anyone know if any food stores in Nj allow overages. None of the food stores in my South Jersey area do or if they do I don’t know about it.
Pathmark has Breyers Ice Cream on sale for $1.99 there is a $.75 off coupon which will double to $1.50 making the ice cream $.50. Hurry sale ends tonight
Quick question,
If I wanted to add coupons on my card, can I repeatedly add one coupon? For instance, if something is on sale for $2.00 and I have 4 mfc. coupons for that item for $1.00 and the e coupon gives me $1.00 making it free, can I also put in the e coupon the same coupon 4 times making them all free, or can i only put 1 e coupon on my card for that item?? Hope i’m not confusing anyone…
maricela,
I believe the e-coupon is for one time only and for that face value as well.
So lets say you have “x” product cost 2.00 x4= 8.00
You have 4 like coupons of 1.00 each, so it will be 8.00 -4.00= 4.00
now you have a e-coupon for that product for 1.00
making your purchase of 4.00- 1.00 (ecoupon) =3.00
Even if the e-coupon is less than a dollar, it will not double. But you can always stack up e-coupon with one MC.
Hope this helps…
e coupons you can only use one . only one ecoupon adds on your card
So, I just left Pathmark in the Bronx…..I was surprised when my coupons didn’t double and they basically laughed at me saying they do NOT double coupons. Anyone else have this problem with Pathmark?
your from the bronx thats cool so am I. and no they dont double unless they have that promotion that week. they actually had it like a month ago.
That’s awful! the one I go to on Long Island ALWAYS doubles, even if coupon says Do Not Double!
The Pathmark in Lawnside doubles up to.99 cents. So if your had a .80 cents coupon you would get it for $1.60. They have their policy all over the place in this store.
Does anyone know about Pathmark’s BOGO coupon policy? Can I use a BOGO FREE plus a $0.50 coupon on two items?
I just called my Pathmark in Long Island City, Queens and they do not double coupons.
Things have changed. I went to that Pathmark all the time in the 80′s & they always doubled. Sorry to hear that & wonder why they changed their policy.
check pathmark ‘s circular , it should say on top page if they double
Does somebody know if i can use 2 coupons for BOGO free!! i bought the welches juice, it was BOBO Free and the cashier (Pathmark )did not allowed me to use 2 coupons for the items!! is that right?
Ladies, I had the worst day of my life @ Pathmark today. I was trying to purchase the Pampers Baby Wipes, the Reynolds wrap, the I can’t believe its not butter , the land o lakes butter and the keebler cookies and this cashier told me that I couldn’t use 4 coupons and that I could only use one. Well I almost lost respect for people at that moment because I knew she didn’t know what she was talking about. I asked for her manager and the manager agreed with this cashier. Ladies, they need too call a meeting, get their heads together and make sure that all cashiers know about couponing because they don’t know what their talking about. I purchased one of each item and said I’ll BE BACK. LOL. Have a nice day.
This happened at the Pathmark in South Orange NJ
