Giant Eagle Makes Shopping Bargains Easy

by Cindy on July 21, 2009

I don’t have a Giant Eagle by me but I do keep an eye on their deals as my daughter shops there while at school. I stumbled upon this great addition to their site and I am so jealous. I wish Shoprite and Pathmark did this.

Giant Eagle has a page on their website just for the extra rewards programs (catalina printouts). Aren’t they nice. It makes it so much easier to see all of them in one place instead of searching all around. When I compared it to the weekly circular I found that some of these deals are not even advertised which makes it even better. Sort of like secret deals.

To see the current extra rewards programs go here. As always, match up coupons, plus sales, plus extra rewards for the best savings.

FREE Kashi Cereal Cups At Target

by Cindy on July 21, 2009

When I was little we used to have those little cereal boxes that I thought were so cool. My mom used to get them when we went on vacation. They were a special treat because they were so expensive and we only had them for “special occasions” . Well now I know why they were so expensive. Because there was no Target around to offer up deals like this one.

Kashi Cereal Cups are selling for $1 at Target
Use the $1/1 Target Printable Coupon
Final Price: FREE

Pick up a few and bring them on your vacation.

5 FREE Swagbucks For New Registration

by Cindy on July 21, 2009

I have posted about Swagbucks as a way to earn a few extra dollars just by searching the internet. It’s no different then searching with Google you just use Swagbucks search engine instead and they pay you!! Pretty simple.
Over the last 3 months I have earned about $60 $75 in Amazon gift cards since I have been using it as my search engine. They have even added Paypal rewards so you can just get cash added to your Paypal account with your Swagbucks…nice feature!

Well, if you have not done Swagbucks yet you are in luck. Until this Friday, 7/24, all new registration gets 5 Swagbucks instantly added to your account. Type NEWBIE during registration to get your 5 Swagbucks.

If you are already using Swagbucks, I have to tell you that they have been very generous over the last couple of days. I haven’t searched much but when I did I received 3 Swagbucks. It happened twice. Sweet deal!

To get started using Swagbucks you can go here to sign up. I added the search box (same as google) to my toolbar so it makes it easy to just type in and search.

Note: Today I purchased running shoes for my daughter through Amazon. They were $165 Saucony shoes (she is a serious runner) and I was able to get them for $90 using my Swagbucks. Not a bad deal.

What’s For Dinner?

by Cindy on July 20, 2009

Remember my menu planning is a flexible menu.
Having a list of meals I know I have available to choose from keeps me flexible but focused at the same time. This week you will see some of the same items from last week as things did not go as planned. I am happy to say, even though the plan was not followed, we did not have to eat out or pick up fast food.

Remember that everything we are preparing for the week may not necessarily be something that I bought this week. I have quick a stockpile in my pantry and freezers that I can choose from.

Here is our flexible dinner menu:

  • Homemade pizza
  • BBQ Pork Sliders w/ sweet potato fries
  • Chicken Stir Fry w/ rice (from last week)
  • Breakfast for dinner
  • Grilled steak, Wacky Mac pasta salad
  • Tilapia, Rice Pilaf, Veggies (from last week)
  • Pasta w/ meatballs & sausage
