546,000 lbs. of Ground Beef Recalled – Fairbanks Farms

There is a recall on fresh ground beef that is thought to be contaminated with E. coli.

Fairbanks Farms has recalled 546,000 lbs. of fresh ground beef. The distribution area for Fairbanks Farms is from Maine to North Carolina in stores such as Trader Joes, Price
Chopper, Lancaster, Wild Harvest, Shaws, BJs, Ford Brothers and Giant Stores. If you have purchased ground beef from any of these stores please check your packages. You are looking for the number “EST.492” on the labe. They were packaged between 9/15 – 9/16 with a sell by date of 9/19 – 9/28. So check your freezers!

In states such as Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia, the meat was repacked and may have a different package or label. It will still say Fairbanks Farms on the label. So check all your meta purchased within the last 2 months.
