Budget Cuts October
These are cuts that we have made this past month to help trim down our budget. Some are small and some are large but all help to trim down our monthly expenses as we save toward our debt free future.
- We were able to drop our weekly grocery bill to an average of $61 per week down from $70 per week the month before. Average savings for the month: $36
- I set up a plan for Christmas shopping hopefully enabling me to spend only about $500 this year as compared to $2000 last year. Savings for the month: $125 each month over 12 months.
- And the big one that I can’t believe I didn’t remember right away. My 5 year old computer, the one and only one I use to write this blog, was so horrible and slow that I thought for sure it was going to crash. I had tried everything I could think of to fix it and nothing worked. I was all set to buy a new one as I felt it was time. My husband, knowing how much we really didn’t want that expense right now, did some research on his own (love it when he does that) and found this site that completely cleaned my computer. Cleaned it so well that it’s running like new. And the awesome thing is, it was completely free. Savings for the month: $1200 (cost of the new computer).
Total savings for October: $1361
Savings for year: $5148
