I’ve Joined Weight Watchers Online

Okay guys, I am challenging myself and I’m hoping to have some company cause I hate doing things alone.  I’ve just joined Weight Watchers Online.  Yeap, I have.  I have to lose about 15 lbs and I’m determined to do it.  I had no excuse this time because they were waiving the $29.95 sign up fee and the cost was only $17.95 per month for 3 months so it was a really great deal.  I already started keeping track from this morning and we will see how it goes.  I’m staying postitive because I think I can do this.

About 15 years ago I did Weight Watchers Online (before it was popular) and I was very successful.  I’m not one to go to all those weigh ins and meetings so this was a good alternative for me because it keeps you accountable even though it’s just to a computer program.  Now the website has lots of cool features and from what I can see so far, you can put in a whole bunch of different foods and it quickly calculates the points for you.  There are lots of recipes to choose from and it tracks your weight progress on a big chart. 

This is where you guys come in.  I’m hoping that I won’t have to do this alone.  I’m hoping some of you will join me.  Since most of us are in the same boat as far as cutting our grocery budget and using coupons, we can share recipes that are still inexpensive and share our successes and even failures. Each week I’ll post my progress and we can post a great recipe or an item on sale that has a small amount of points, etc. We can post when we had a good week or even a bad week or day. It will be like our own personal Weight Watchers meeting.

So, leave a comment to let me know if you will be joining me.  Don’t let me face this alone.  I hate doing things by  myself.  It should be fun and I might even see if I can put up some kind of widget on the site to keep track of our progress.  Maybe like a group weight loss total or something.  We’ll see how it goes.

Note:  Don’t feel like you have to join the WW program to join us on this mission.  If you are trying to lose weight and want “company” then just join in the conversation. My husband has done Body For Life from a book he got for super cheap and lost 10 lbs.  So there are all kinds of ways to eat better, lose weight and stay healthy.  Do whatever works best and fits in your budget.

    I am actually REALLY contemplating signing up this week- for the in-person membership. I've done the online one before and really liked it, but it just doesn't seem to hold me accountable. Perhaps stepping on a scale in front of another human will.

    Count me in, although I'm not signing up for WW. I had a lot of success with WW Core, which they have merged into Points now. So I'll be doing the discontinued WW! I have great recipes too and would love to share. Widget thing sounds kind of cool too. (as long as I don't have to post my starting weight!)Good luck to all. Let me know when this starts!     I can't do the WW, it's just not in our still-unemployed budget. But I have been on a weight loss journey for the last year (I hate saying dieting). I will be continuing this year so count me in!

    I actually just signed up for the 1 week full trial. I did it a few years ago along with walk away the pounds DVDs. I lost about 20lbs, but then got pregnant soon after. I think it was the weight loss that made it possible..lol. Anyways, I'm not starting until Monday bc that's when we are starting the weight loss challenge at work. The winner gets 70% and we are all putting $20 in. I was able to get a whole chicken for 89 cents/lb. Not sure if it's a great deal, but I found a recipe on the WW webpage that I'm making on Monday in my crockpot and should be able to eat off it for a couple of days.
    If you can't join WW now, you can still register for free and get access to the message boards. They have lots of great info like recipes and different food finds and mostly everyone is helpful.

    I've done WW in the past and have had some success with it I just always fall off the bandwagon and never get back on. I'm thinking about doing it again. I can't afford meetings or online but have been looking on ebay to get a starter kit with points calculator for the new program. Though it seems like it will cost me about $60 to get those materials. Unlike a lot of you I have more than a few to lose. I have about 125-150 to lose. But I need to get in control. So I'm willing to follow you gals. Even if all I lose is 20lbs I'll be 20lbs healthier.

    I love doing WW online, I've had a lot of success with it in the past, and was actually trying to decide if I should join up again now. The thing I love most about WW is it really teaches you how to eat better. Even when I'm not following the program, the basic principles have stuck with me. Best of luck to you!
