Cindy –
We had two other matchups for the South Jersey edition.

Joy dish detergent 10 @ .77 = 7.70 – 3($1 off 3 coupons) = 4.77 for 140 oz or .03/oz

Campbells V8 soups 1.99 – (.75 coupon doubled to 1.00) = .99

Plus the catalina deal for our area appears to be:
Buy $20 worth of Pinnacle foods get $5 back.
Items included in deal
Celeste pizza for one .99 ea
Aunt Jemima waffles or Breakfast entrees 1.99 ea
Swanson classics assorted varieties .99 ea
Aunt Jemima french toast or pancakes 2.49 ea

This would be a great deal with some Aunt Jemima coupons but I don’t have any and haven’t found any yet. But perhaps your readers do!
Enjoy and thanks for yours!
Karen

Hi Cindy,

I started reading your posts three weeks ago and it has helped me. I would like to pay it forward by sharing what I found. The glade aerosol air freshener are .77 cents when you buy 10 and there is a .75/2 printable coupon from http://www.rightathome.com/. Buying ten equals almost free.

Thanks.

@Kristie, you are too funny! If you can report on the retail price of the cake mix that would be awesome. I was holding off posting it until I got there to add it to the deal. Let us know what you find!

Hi, I have been following you for about 3 weeks now and I have to say the savings are GREAT!!! I do have a question. How do the Catalina’s work at Pathmark? I normally shop at Shoprite but couldn’t resist the sale deal you offered at Pathmark for the (4) Cinn. Toast Crunch and (4) Soups. When I purchased the items I didn’t get the catalina for $8.00 I went to customer service and they told me it’s a $30 purchase out of pocket and because I got all the items on sale and didn’t pay the $30 I didn’t get the catalina. Do all the stores have different policies?

@Denise, Hi Denise. So glad you are saving. You do not have to spend $30 out of pocket. That is completely false. Technically you are suppose to qualify by getting to the $30 by using the sales price, absolutely not after the coupons are deducted. Now, at Pathmark, A&P and even Acme, these catalina deals work on the Retail price. This is not something that the stores publicize. It’s just how they have the registered set up. They may argue THAT point with you and tell you that it will only work on the sale price but def not on the sale – coupon price. And, all stores do the same thing as all their registers are programed that way. It has been that way for a while and it works on nearly all their catalina deals.
Now, why did your cat not print? That is the question. There could be a couple of factors. Possibly you purchased the wrong soup. It was tricky and you had to be sure you picked up the right ones because all the soups that were at the sale price were not producing catalinas. Just the “traditional” soups were. So, check that. Also, possibly your prices are different and you may not have actually gotten to that price if your prices are lower then mine or the prices I have posted. Also, possibly the cat machine was not working. I always check to make sure that the green light is on if I have a cat deal I’m doing.

@Cindy,
Thank you for all the info….. I think what happened was…. I bought the cinn toast crunch and the soups but didn’t have the right coupon for the cearal. So in the middle of the order the cashier made the changes and didn’t total out the sale. This is why I think the catalina didn’t print. At shoprite I noticed the catalinas print after the sale is complete. When I went to C/S @ Pathmark there were two ladies working and the first told me that I get the catalina’s at sales price and the other said it’s only on retail price and not on the sale price you need to purchase $30 to qualify. I don’t think she understood the policy for catalina’s. Well now I know what to do.
