My A&P told me they stopped accepting printed coupons!!! They started accepting them around the end of last year but apparently it only lasted for about 5 weeks before they stopped it. I think I’ll email them since I couldn’t find their coupon policy but I was wondering if anyone has run into this problem.
they said the same thing to me too! =[
@sara, Oh no! I really hope that is not the case. That would be a bad decision on A&P’s part. I hope we can get to the bottom of this.
Here, in CT., we have a combined A&P/Waldbaum’s – called Foodmart, and they have never accepted IP coupons. It’s been torture knowing that I should go there to buy the advertised sale items, but cannot use the printed coupons. At least I still have Shoprite and StopandShop who do!
@adele,
CT A&P/Foodmarts began accepting internet coupons a few months ago. It even says it in the weekly ad as well as in the supplemental 2 week instore ad. Check your ad and see if it says it in yours.
My A&P does not accept internet coupons either. I do most of my shopping at Shop Rite though, and they take them with no problem. Only run to A&P if I need something quick because it is a little closer.
@Jackie,
I don’t understand how A&P could not accept IP coupons when they have IP coupons right on their website!!! But then again, this is A&P we’re talking about.
Our A&P does not accept internet coupons either and has not for some time now. I find it interesting because Pathmark does and I believe that A&P and Pathmark are one and the same now.
Then it’s time for all of us to email Corp. and let them know our unhappiness and that we take our business elsewhere.
I’m sure if they start seeing what kind of effect it causes they will change their minds.
Here it is in print about internet coupons:

This is from page 17 of their in-store two week ad from CT. Do NY stores have the same two week booklet?
@, NJ has the same booklet but the only thing I can think of is that the supplement book that says “we accept internet coupons” is a 2 week book and this is the second week. It appears that this change in them accepting IP coupons has started this week. I am going to make a few calls around today instead of relying on the word of my local store. I’m not sure if I’ll get the corporate office today, if not I’ll try tomorrow. We’ll see if we can get to the bottom of this.
@Cindy,
Great! I look forward to any info you can find
I was just getting ready to head to A&P when I saw your post about IP coupons. However, I looked on the A&P facebook page. This was posted on Thursday of this week in response to someone complaining that their store does not accept coupons:
A&P
Sandra all stores should accept internet coupons. Please call customer service at 866-44-fresh. They can contact the store directly and see what the issue is.
@Rejoice in Saving,
excellent work!
