    Hi Christy,

Thanks so much for this great site – I just found it and am very new to couponing so I am still learning the ropes! I checked out your info for beginners, but I am still a little confused about something and I was wondering if you would mind helping me out? In the Pathmark deal you mention, you say,
Buy 3 Colgate Total Toothpaste ($2.84 each) $8.52
    -(3)$0.75/1 colgate
My question refers to the -(3): how do you manage to get three coupons when only one coupon per item is allowed?

Also, just to double check, the $3 Catalina would only be applied to any subsequent transactions, right? And not the toothpaste one.

Thanks so much again for such a wonderful site. It really is a blessing.

    • Cindy

@Ola MHey Christy, You are buying 3 toothpaste so you can use 3 coupons, 1 for each. The $3.00 catalina prints at the register and is good for any purchase at Pathmark on your next visit.

  • Ola M

    Thanks so much!

Cindy – Also for the Colgate, you mentioned using the Zavers as well. I thought that they “are considered manufacturer coupons so you would only be able to use the coupon on your card to purchase an item. You can not stack them with another paper manufacturer coupon.” Did the policy change? Thanks! ~Kristie

P.S. Yesterday I also got my missing Shop Rite Crystal Light Catalina in the mail from CCM. :)

    • Cindy

@Kristie, They have been working with manufacturer coupons and when I questioned Zavers I never got a straight answer. It was as if they were saying if it works then do it.

      • Kristie

@Cindy, Thanks Cindy! I’ll be picking up a couple of extra newspapers tomorrow… I just passed by Pathmark and picked up (4) Sargento Low Sodium Mozzarella Cheeses, (2) Reynold’s Aluminum Foils and (2) Wishbone Dressings – and, after coupons, spent just $3.77.

The Kellogg’s cereals on the endcap display or on the shelf with the sale price were:
        Frosted Flakes
        Fruit Loops
        Special K
        Rice Krispies
        Corn Pops
        Apple Jacks
        All Bran

There was also a coupon blinkie near the cereals on the shelf with a value of $.70 off one package of Corn Pops, Apple Jacks or Froot Loops 12 oz. or larger (DND 9). Just wanted to share…

        • Cindy

@Kristie, Good find on the blinkie. The Kellogg’s coupons are kind of lacking but that blinkie would help. Especially since there are milk catalinas that will print.

  • Neha

In my smart source colgate coupons is only of $. 35…So sad!!!
    My code is: 07013

  • Kristie

I tried doing the Kellogg’s Catalina deals by buying (4) cereals and (4) Fruit Crisps. I didn’t get either Catalina – the $6 or the three gallons of milk. I went to Customer Service and they said the Catalina is for the sale price, not the shelf price, and I only had $23+ that qualified from the sale prices. I’m gonna try calling CCM again on Monday and see what happens again….

    • Cindy

@Kristie, You would just have to make sure that all the items you purchased were listed in the store as being part of the deal. They were not very clear in the circular so my list is based on what may be on it. They have signs up.
As far as retail vs. sale. It’s been retail for a very long time and customer service will not tell you that it works that way. Not because they do not want to but mostly because they just don’t know. It’s how the registers are programed.

      • Kristie

@Cindy, The two Corn Pops and two Apple Jacks came up as 4/$10 (part of the deal) and the Fruit Crisps were the ones on sale for $2.49 each – I bought four of them. The Corn Pops’ shelf price is $5.99, the Apple Jacks’ shelf price is $5.19, and the Fruit Crisps’ shelf price is $3.39 – so the total shelf price for the items I bought was $35.72.

Does the Catalina deal for free milk only use cereals? I thought it was any Kellogg’s product…

        • Cindy

@Kristie, The milk catalina is suppose to be for any Kellogg’s product so that should have worked. Where there signs for the Fruit Crisp saying that was part of the deal. That’s the part they were not clear about in the circular. I haven’t been to check yet and no one has confirmed it works with those so I can’t say for sure. But, since your milk didn’t print, possibly the machine was not working. I would first try calling catalina because they can see everything you bought and they can tell you if it was included.
