These Scrubbing Bubbles Catalinas are popping up all over the place.  This is a FANTASTIC deal that reader Betty did and emailed to me.  And, these were the only items in her transaction so, the catalinas that printed are all from these items. Here was her deal:

-(2)BOGO Free Refill when you buy 1 Starter Kit
Pay: $5.98
Then get 1 $4.00 Catalina wyb 4 Scrubbing Bubbles products
Then get 2 $3.00 Catalinas wyb 1 Scrubbing Bubbles Starter (same as Stop & Shop)
Then get 2 $1.00 Catalinas wyb 1 Scrubbing Bubbles Refill
Total back in catalinas $12.00

is that a catalina off of your next shoprite purchase? like off of anything? you do that in all one transaction and all of those catalinas print??????????? wow!!!!

Reply

Cindy April 21, 2010 at 5:05 pm

@steph, the catalinas are off your next transaction. Yes, apparently they are all printing. Pretty cool. I can’t wait to go

Rachel April 21, 2010 at 5:15 pm

That’s my sister:) And I just did the deal too and it worked perfectly!!!!

Can you use both a BOGO coupon and a $5 off coupon in the same transaction? If so, which one do you usually give first?

Reply

Rachel April 21, 2010 at 6:18 pm

I used both the $5 and the BOGO, it didn’t matter what order I put them in.

Reply

Shellie April 21, 2010 at 7:01 pm

Is the BoGo q and the $5 q allowed per their coupon policy? I did not know you could do that, otherwise I would have had free ziplocks last week! Anyway, even without the 2 coupons, it’s still a good deal. I am going to try this – least they can say is no!

joey April 21, 2010 at 7:55 pm

My SR never allow me use both bogo and 5 off coupon at the same time. It is really bad!

Reply

Morgan April 21, 2010 at 8:07 pm

I wonder if I could do this at Kroger?

Reply

Evie April 21, 2010 at 9:40 pm

My SR does not have this catalina advertised. Are they only in certain locations?

Reply

Cindy April 21, 2010 at 10:10 pm

@Evie, This is not an advertised catalina

Reply

Jamie April 21, 2010 at 10:07 pm

Is this good for next week too or are these prices & catalinas only good for this week?

Reply

Cindy April 21, 2010 at 10:10 pm

@Jamie, I know the $4.00 is only good till 4/24. Not sure about the others.

Reply

Jamie April 21, 2010 at 10:56 pm

@Cindy,
Ahhh, I guess I have to run to Shoprite again this week then. Also, for those whose store doesn’t allow the BOGO to be combined with the $5, I would think that you could do this:

Buy 4 Starters ($7.99 x 4) 31.96
-(4) $5/1
Pay: $11.96
Then get 1 $4.00 Catalina wyb 4 Scrubbing Bubbles products
Then get 4 $3.00 Catalinas wyb 1 Scrubbing Bubbles Starter (same as Stop & Shop)
Total back in catalinas $16.00
$4.00 Moneymaker

or buy 2 starters and 2 refills and use (2) $5/1 starter coupons and (2) $1/1 refill coupons, pay $10.96 get back $12 in catalinas, still a moneymaker (especially factoring in the SC Johnson rebate).

Hi Cindy. Which SR did you go to that accepted all the coupons in one transaction? SR in Union would not let me combine the BOGO with the $5 coupons and the SR in East Orange was out of the starter ($7.99).

Cindy April 22, 2010 at 8:39 am

@Esther, Hi Esther, I personally have not done this deal yet but I’m actually thinking of going to the Rockaway Shoprite and hitting Aldi at the same time. There is a $1.00 coupon for the refill (in the same insert) that you can use as well. Still a good deal with that if your store will not let you use both coupons.

Reply

Cindy April 22, 2010 at 10:36 am

@Maryam, Not sure if this is rolling. Usually they do at Shoprite but I haven’t heard confirmation of it yet.

Cindy,
Thanks for the awesome heads up! I headed over to SR in Stewartsville this morning to try it and I got $12.00 worth of catalina’s. I was able to roll it over to my next order and it worked great! Going back tomorrow to check out the Poland spring water deal. Thanks again!

Chris April 22, 2010 at 3:15 pm

FYI, I didn’t even buy scrubbing bubbles or any cleaning supplies today with my regular SR order because I only had one of the the $5 qs and I used all 3 of my SCJ rebates, and the catalina machine amazingly printed out $3 off any one scrubbing bubbles starter kit. I can still combine that with my one $5 off and make it a $4.02 moneymaker. Keep your eyes out for this catalina coupon if you don’t have two $5 qs.

Wow! I went to SR yesterday and then found your site through a trick from another forum. I went right out and got my $12 in catalinas!!!!!! Plus, I already had copies of the SC Johnson rebate in my folder. I’m soooo excited about this one! I will always look at your site first before putting my SR list together!

I had one of those nightmare trips that I have read about … the catalina machine was out of ink!!! The cashier never said anything until the very end. I did both deals Scrubbing bubbles and the Honey bunches of oats. In top of it all when I came home I realized that the cashier did not scan one of the $5 Q for the Scrubbing bubbles deal…ugh!!! Customer service ended only giving me a $5 coupon kind of to get me out of their hair as this was not and advertised deal. Not a good shopping trip! Hopefully the SC Johnson rebate will go well : )
Cindy … I love your site … is the best!

Cindy April 22, 2010 at 10:12 pm

@, Oh my, you did have a nightmare. I’ve had them more time then I’d like to admit. I know how you feel. And yes it is hard to prove them. If you have time try giving catalina marketing a try as they can see what you bought and what you should have gotten. It’s worth a try. Heck they may even give you the $5.00 you already got from Shoprite. Let me know and I’ll give you the number. Or you can go to Beginners tab under Catalina 101 and grab the number there.

Tjis worked like a dream in my SR. I looked for a cashier that would just scan and the B1G1 worked fine with the $5MQ! Those Catalinas just kept coming! Thank yo so much. I never would have known about this deal without you!

I did it today buying 4 starters, used 4 $5 coupons, paid $12 and got $16 back in catalinas. thank you so much. Do you know if this rolling?

Reply

Ruth April 24, 2010 at 1:02 am

I did this deal four times today. The catalinas did come out each time, $12.00 of catalinas, I hadn’t printed the BOGO but I just used the $1.00 coupon for the refill. It was still a great deal. Now I printed the BOGO free off the internet and it will be a much better deal when I do it tomorrow.
I never thought to do the four starters kits, I got plenty of the $5.00 coupons. It might be easier since the cashiers, don’t have to enter the BOGO price for the free item.
When I did the transactions, I just used the catalinas to pay for the next order. The catalina don’t scan but the cashier can key it in. It al depends on the store and the front end supervisor or cashiers. You might get luck, you might not.

Ruth April 24, 2010 at 1:06 am

I learned the hard way to always ask if the Catalina machine is working. I also try to observe transactions to see which one is working. Kmart has the worst catalina machines and if you don’t check, you are out of luck.

I noticed the SC Johnson Rebate form says you can get up to three $5 rebates per household! They have to be mailed separately so you need original receipts for each one but it would be well worth it to separate orders to get $15 back by mail. Plus the offer doesn’t expire until July. You have until 6/30/10 to purchase eligible products.

I’m a newbie (been here a month or so) and this is the first moneymaker deal I’ve done. Loved it! I felt like a fugitive on the way home, having just robbed Shoprite! Thank you for sharing =)

Question – what do “rolling Catalinas” mean? Obviously I know I will have to use my Catalinas on the next trip.

Reply

Cindy April 24, 2010 at 1:30 pm

@Veena, Veena, I promise you’re not a fugitive :)
Rolling means that you can use the catalina to buy the same exact products. So you can do the deal again for even less out of pocket dollar. Sometimes when you use a catalina for the same products it cancels out the next one. So you will not get a second catalina. Most of the time they do roll at ShopRite. And in this case they are.

Hi Cindy, Do you know if this deal is still good for the week of 4/25 -5/1? Thank you.

Reply

Cindy April 25, 2010 at 9:26 pm

@, Well this week the prices are now $8.99 & $3.99 so that ruins it right there. And at least one of the catalinas ended so I would have to say that this is no where near the deal it was last week. I don’t know however if all the Catalinas have stopped printing.

Reply

Ruth Jenkins April 26, 2010 at 10:16 am

I still got all my catalinas last night, even the $4.00 one, the extra dollar on the price didn’t make much difference to me.
I’m having garage sales to empty out my basement and so far it has been great, made $900 so far in two weeks and the people who come truly appreciate the bargains, especially in this hard economy. They even encouraged me to do it until I run out of extra items.

This site had the most clear listings, easy to navigate and up to date information. I did the Shop Rite deals and so far I accumulated $73.00 in Catalina. My Shop Rite doesn’t double but the Catalina deals are the best. Some cashiers have given me a hard time but I have learned to avoid the ones that I know need an attitude adjustment. I have also learned how to deal with cashier’s lack of knowledge by printing out policies and having customer care corporate numbers programmed into my phone. Nothing works best than getting customer care on the other line to address the issue with the cashier. It also helps other coupon shoppers, if the cashiers get a little educated, it will help all the coupon shoppers.

Hi, Cindy;
My shoprite is the WORST when it comes to Catalinas-they NEVER are participants in the un-advertised ones. But this accidentally worked in my favor on Saturday. I bought 2 starters and 2 refills, and the Catalinas didn’t print. At first, I thought, well, it’s still a good deal since I used those $5 coupons. But then I realized that I didn’t really need them (especially since I did the good deal with that same coupon at Walgreens, for a RR) and I was only buying them for the moneymaker deal. So I decided to return them. I went over to the CS desk, and the first thing I said was “I want you to know that I purchased these with coupons.” Well, the CSR thought it was too much trouble to do the return taking in account the coupons, so he gave me back the whole $27 plus change. That essentially made my entire shopping trip which included 3 jars of spaghetti sauce, aluminum foil, ground beef, cake mix and frosting (and I’m sure I’m forgetting something) only $3. So yeah, it turned out to be a moneymaker for me after all.
BTW, Catalina is making good on the Zyrtec deal I emailed you about.
I love your site; keep up the good work.
