What I think I am going to do is:
Buy 1 Honey Nut Cheerios (3.59)
Buy 4 Cinnamon Toast Crunch (11.96)
    Buy 2 GoGurt (4.90)
    Total Shelf Price : $20.45
Less (2) 1.50/2 Coupons for the cereal
Less 75/2 doubled: $1.50 for the yogurt
Total $8.95 Plus 5.00 Catelina and Free Gallon of Milk.
I’ll let you know tonight if it works after I go!

    • Kristine

      @Kristine,
coupons.com has .55/1 for Cheerios and .55/1 Cinnamon toast crunch, so doubled is 1.10 per coupon off…edit my scenario I just realized my math was off on the other:
Buy 1 Honey Nut Cheerios (3.59)
Buy 4 Cinnamon Toast Crunch (11.96)
      Buy 2 GoGurt (4.90)
      Total Shelf Price : $20.45
Less (5) .55/1 doubled to 5.50 Coupons for the cereal
Less 75/2 doubled: $1.50 for the yogurt
Total $9.45 Plus 5.00 Catelina and Free Gallon of Milk.
I’ll let you know tonight if it works after I go!

      • ronni

@Kristine, my .55 cin toast cereal Q says do not double, perhaps yours does not, but that would change the math on this deal. thanks

        • Kristine

@ronni, Mine say that as well, but every cashier I have dealt with at my Shoprite lets it go through as double. 🙂

        • ronni

@ronni, Whoo hooo mine doubled too, had 3 of them one for each box of cinn toast. I even pointed it out to night time manager (she is always very nice to me, so it would be right thing to do), she said it was fine and she thinks the registers are not programmed/coded to pick up the do not double. Deal is great with these coupons. BTW the cookie crisp is $2.19 at my shoprite – it was the only one of the cereals that was this price the rest were $2.49.

        • KRISTINE

          @ronni,
That’s great! I did the deal a few times, needless to say I am WELL stocked on cereal for awhile!

    • Lisa

@Kristine, Hi Kristine – Make sure to use the 55 cent off Cinnamon Toast Crunch on coupons.com & you can save another $2.20 with this scenario! 🙂

      • Lisa

@Lisa, Disregard – just saw it posted 🙂

        • Kristine

          @Lisa,
No problem, I did the deal and it worked great!

  • Jean

Ok. Here’s where I wanted to post!
The link for the $1.10/1 yoplait isn’t working for me. Could you point me in the right direction of the coupon, please? Thanks!

    • Cindy

@Jean, I fixed it so it should be working now.

  • KRISTINE

I just got back from Shoprite, the scenario above worked, I got both my Catalinas!

  • Laurie

Are other cereals included, like Lucky Charms or Reeses Puffs or only the 5 you have listed? There’s a $.55/1 Lucky Charms on coupons.com as well.

    • Cindy

@Laurie, I’m not home right now to check but I’m pretty sure I posted all the ones that are included in the circular but sometimes they include more then they actually list. I haven’t been to the store yet so I can’t confirm.

  • Janelle

I did your scenerio, but I purchased two CTC and two cookie crisp. I got the free milk , but only got a $2 catalina instead of $5.

    • Cindy

@Janelle, Just want to make sure I understand, you purchased the following:
      2 CTC cereal ($2.99×2) $4.98
      2 Cookie Crisp ($3.99 x 2) $4.98
      2 Go Gurt ($2.49 x 2) $4.00

If that is what you did your shelf price only added up to $18.94 so you qualified for the Buy $10 get $2.00. To get the $5.00 you need $20 shelf price and to get the $10 you need $40 shelf price. The shelf price of the CTC cereal is only $2.99 each and the Cookie Crisp is $3.99 each. That is where the difference lies. You could have just added a $1.33 Betty Crocker Potatoes into the mix for the $5.00 to print.

      • Janelle

@Cindy, I missed that. Thanks. I was just thinking of mixing the cereals up a bit. I will have to pay attention more next time.

  • audra wilder

Okay – I am going to try:

    (3) Cinn. Toast ($8.97)
    (4) GoGurt ($9.80)
    (2) BC S. Salads ($2.00)
Total Shelf: $20.77 (sale price total $17.47)
    Total Coupons: $ 9.30
Less (3) .55/1 doubled to 3.30 Coupons for the cereal
Less (4) 1.10 for the yogurt
Less (2) .40/1 double to $1.60 coupons for the betty crocker salad
Total $8.17 Plus 5.00 Catelina and Free Gallon of Milk.

Going to try after work today!

  • I bought 3 boxes of cereal:
    2 Cocoa Puffs $2.99 shelf
    1 Cookie Crisp $4.29 shelf
    Total Shelf $10.27
    I got a $5 cat…not the $2 and
    TWO Free Milks
Is this a mistake?…or am I just missing something that’s right under my nose? I did it twice!

    • Cindy

@Dana, Hmm, wow! Did you get 2 Free milk in the 1 transaction? That is a great deal but I have no idea why it printed like that.

      • Yes 2 free each time! The ad even says “Limit 1 gallon per transaction”. Could this be a mistake at my store? or maybe the combination of what I bought is doing this?

I also got a $4 cat “compliments of Pampers & Shop Rite” which I guess came from buying a big box of Pampers Baby Dry (size 4)?

That Catalina machine feels like a slot machine!

        • Cindy

@Dana, LOL. Yep sometimes it does.
Usually the catalinas are not store specific within a chain of stores so I would imagine it would continue to print at others. It must be the combo. I may send my daughter to try it out and see if it works. Did you use coupons when you made the purchase?

        • Yes I used $1/2 GM Cereals (5/2 SS) and a $5 P&G Cat.

  • Rachel

I just returned from a Shop Rite in South Jersey and the GM Cat doesn’t appear to be working on shelf price there. I bought:
    (4) Cinnamon Toast Crunch (11.96 shelf)
    (2) Trix (5.98 shelf)
    (1) Go Gurt (2.45 shelf)
Total Shelf Price was $20.39 (Sale Price $16.94)
Less (2) .55 Cinnamon Toast Crunch (doubled to $1.00)
    Less (2) 1.50/2 GM Cereals
    Less (1) 1.10 Go Gurt
    Total $10.84
I only got a $2 Cat, however, 2 free milks printed for me as well so that makes up for the lost $3 I was expecting!
I also received another $2 Cat from Your Bucks, although I have no idea why! I already received the inital one and nothing I bought today qualified for any of the “text message” deals but I will take it!
Thank you Cindy for all your hard work!!

  • Joanie

I did the GM cat tonight. I purchased:

    1 CTC @ 2.99
    2 Cookie Crisp @ 4.29 each
    2 Go Gurt @ 2.45 each
3 BC Potatoes at $1.79 each

Shelf price: $21.84. Got the free milk cat and only a $2 cat, not the $5 I was expecting.

  • ok, I think I did this right. I bought
    3 Nature Valley Granola @ 2.49 (3.19)
    4 Cinnamon Toast Crunch @ 2.49 (2.99)
(Going by shelf price that’s $21.53)

    – 3 x .40 NV q’s (doubled to .80)
    – 4 x .55 CTC q’s (doubled to 1.00)

So that’s 11.03 OOP and I got $5 cat and Free Milk q back at the register. Not free, but a good deal in my book. I normally don’t buy much milk, but we are having house guests next weekend so they can have all the milk and cereal they want! 😉

  • Kristine

I think my Shoprite corrected the GM deal to be sale and not shelf price, I did the deal twice and went to do it a third time, the 3rd time I got a $2 Cat and free Milk, the other two times I did get the $5 Catelina.

    • Cindy

@Kristine, yes I am starting to think the same thing. The last couple of days people have been reporting back that same thing.

  • Laurie

I did this yesterday. I bought 2 CTC and 4 Cookie Crisp (was nervous about whether it would be shelf or sale price). I used (2) $.55/1 Cinn. Toast Crunch and (2) $1.50/2 GM cereals plus (2) $1.10/1 Simply GoGurt. I got the $5 cat and 2 FREE gallons of milk cats.
