Update again: So, we do have a confirmation of it working on shelf price. And her deal did not include Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks. So, possibly it does have something to do with the fruit snacks. So, I would recommend not including the fruit snacks in your deal.

I bought 9 suddenly salads at 2.49 shelf price, and 4 fruit by the foot at 2.99 shelf price. The total was 34.37 shelf price. With coupons OOP was 8.00.

Are the products still ringing up the same? They used to work on shelf price because they would ring up on the receipt 2.49, then deduct sale discount of 1.49 to yeild the sale price of $1.00 and it wouldn’t take the deduction into account. Or is it just ringing up $1.00 now?
@Jean, They are ringing up the same as they always did. The only thing I am wondering is that both of us tried this deal with the betty crocker fruit snacks. I don’t know about her but I got the $3.50 catalina. The catalina says from General Mills. Is it possible that it cancels the $8.00 out? Just a thought?!? Another words I am wondering if it would work without qualifying for the $3.50 Fruit Snacks.

@Dana, Okay, so now I really do think it may have been the Betty Crocker Catalina cancelling it out. Interesting. I’ve never seen that happen before.
Maybe Pathmark is starting their own version of Acme’s “Knock Down items” Acme usually works off of shelf..except when the item is on “Knock Down”. I wonder if the shelf tag for the Fruits Snacks is different (in any small way) from the other items included in the sale.
@Dana, From what I saw it may have been originally priced at $2.99 with a possible knockdown (although they don’t call it that at Pathmark) of $2.50. But I went by the $2.50. Acme had the issue with the Angel Soft a couple of weeks back so maybe it’s like that. Maybe it’s not programmed correctly in their system. But, I did get the BC Fruit Snacks catalina for $3.50.
After I read your posts, I went out and bought:
4 – Lucky Charms – *my store’s shelf price was 5.79
3 – BC Muffin Mixes – shelf 3.29
Total Shelf Prices: 33.03, Total OOP 13.56 – $8 CAT
I definitely could have found something cheaper on the OOP side, but my kids absolutely love Lucky Charms and the BC muffins, so it was worth a little extra.
***I also bought 6 Gushers, but in a separate transaction and got my $3.50 CAT
I did the deal today- Got 4 Honey Nut Cheerio and 1 Box of Total ($2.59)- I had the .55 Q’s for the Cheerio’s and there were $1 peelies on the Total! I think the total was $9.15 and I got back the $8! Great deal! The Cheerios are the big box also!
All of the coupons I printed from coupons.com say Do not double or triple on them. What’s that about??
@Laurie M., Usually General Mills coupons do say that. They will double if you store has double coupons. The only place that I have trouble with DND coupons is ShopRite. I never have a problem at Pathmark as they allow them to double. But it’s a YMMV.
In order to get the shelf price, are you using the pathmark card or not. I am going to get a combination of lucky charms and honey nut cheerios. I will do in a separate transaction from my other items. Should I not give the card so it won’t discount the items???? or would the 2.99 automatically pop up on the line item with or without my pathmark card.
@Karin, It doesn’t matter if you use your card or not. It works on shelf either way. Just stay away from the BC Fruit Snacks as I think they are not working on the deal this time for some reason.
Finally got around to doing this. Got 10 Suddenly Salad and 2 Betty Crocker Brownies. Used (5) $.50/2 Sud. Salad Q’s and $.75/2 BC Brownie Q (I think this q was for supreme, but it went through for the $1 brownies).
$30.88 Shelf Price
Paid $6.xx out of pocket and got the $8 catalina.

@Laurie M., Laurie thanks for sharing that because I had this nagging suspicion that is could have been the Suddenly Salad cause the cats not to print instead of the BC fruit snacks. I’m relieve it wasn’t the Suddenly Salad!
