Sears Rebate: Gift Card Update!

Okay, I was just on the phone with the actual rebate center that processes the rebates for Sears.  I was told that they will be accepting the rebates no matter what you use for payment.  Cash, Credit Card, Gift Cards, doesn’t matter…they will accept it.  You can use a coupon or rewards certificate as long as the price is $50 after using them.  So, this is a change from yesterday.  I am not sure if the Sears Customer Service Rebate office does not know what they are talking about or they changed their minds but this is what the Rebate Processing center told me today.

Or you can call Sears Customer Service Rebates at 1-800-549-4505 option #5.

    What are you to do if the gift card you use was a graduation/birthday gift from someone? Should the cashier ask us where we got it from? and where did THEY buy it from? Sounds to me like someone in the Public Relations Department screwed up and put two promotions out the same week! OOPs on their part!
