NJ Happenings This Weekend: Battlefield Blast, 4th of July Family Festival & More

For New Jersey Residents:  Here are some free and/or inexpensive family activities for this weekend.

Saturday, 7/3: Battlefield Blast, Camden.  Starts at 6pm.  Board the Battleship NJ and enjoy live music and animals from the Philadelphia Zoo.  Fireworks at dusk.  $10 per person.  You can read more about it here.

Sunday, 7/4: Fourth Of July Family Festival, Bridgewater.  Historical reenactments including a reenactment of a Revolutionary War encampment by the Third New Jersey Regiment Revolutionary Encampment.  Also children’s games and activities, plenty of food, and a fireworks display. Begins at 5 pm.  Fireworks at 9:30 pm.  Free.  You can check it out here.

Sunday, 7/4: Morven’s Fourth Of July Jubliee, Princeton.  12 – 3 pm. Participate in colonial life activities, hear tales from a visiting storyteller, enjoy refreshments, and take a tour of the museum. Children can sign the Declaration of Independence and participate in a bell-ringing ceremony. Admission is Free.  You can check it out here.
