Does anyone know if this type of alert does use data? I don’t have a data plan, only text messaging.
Yes, in order to access the coupon barcode for target you would need to access the website, which does use data. If you have a smartphone, its usually already included in the price you pay. If you have a regular phone and can access the internet you will have to pay a charge for each Kilobyte of data transmitted and received which can add up pretty quick. Hope that helped.
