Target Coupon Issues Exposed!

by Cindy on August 26, 2010

That title sounds so TMZ.  Like a gossip site for couponers.

Target Coupon Issues Exposed!  Your Receipt Tells All!

Okay, okay.  Just having a little fun.  But seriously, I’m posting this up after I received a flurry of emails & comments.  Some of you may have already seen this article, Target Accused of Not Giving Full Value of Coupons,  but I wanted to post it up for those that have not.  It’s a great article about the use or misuse of Target’s coupon deductions on your receipt.  Particularly coupons that are for more then one product.  For instance, as they referenced in the article, a $4 off 10 Weight Watchers coupon that only deducts $1.99.

Target’s response,  “We are working on a fix. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused our guests. They can certainly return to a store with receipts if they didn’t receive the complete coupon amount.”

Personally, I think they have a lot more issues with coupons then just that so hopefully they will take a long, hard look at their registers and the training of their managers and cashiers on their coupon policy.

You can head over here to read this article.

(Thanks to everyone for letting me know!)

Update:  These may already be gone.  I’m not sure.  Some can print and some can not.

Yay!  The $0.75/1 Mission Tortillas coupon is available again.  You can head over here to print your coupon.

ShopRite shoppers will find these for only $0.14 next week if your ShopRite fully doubles.  Here is your deal starting on Sunday:

Mission Tortillas $1.64
-$0.75/1 Mission Tortillas coupon
$0.14 each after coupon

Now, I have to share this awesome, quick lunch that even I have become hooked on. It’s a Peanut Butter, Jelly & Banana Wrap. OMG, so good. And great for the kiddos lunchboxes too!

Reader Sierra sent this to me and I have to say, I know nothing about this service however I wanted to post it for those may be interested in looking into it.

It’s for NJ residents that currently have electric service with PSE&G or JCP&L.  If you switch to Constellation Energy and commit to an 18 month or 30 month plan, you can score a free Target Gift Card up to $150.

You can head over here to read all about it. It seems very interesting and definitely something I’m going to sit down to discuss with my husband and probably make a few calls myself to the company.

If any of you use this company or have looked into it, I’d be curious to know your thoughts or experience with them.

(Thanks Sierra!)

You know nothing makes me happier then flowers in my garden.  And nothing makes me happier then BOGO free flowers.  So I was happy to see this coupon in my email today from Home Depot.

Make sure to check your email or your spam folder if you signed up for the Home Depot Garden Club Newsletter.  If you didn’t sign up then you might want to so you don’t miss out on any of these coupons in the future.

And, I don’t know about you but my garden has been looking pretty sad this summer with the lack of rain and heat here in NJ.  I’m afraid to find out what does not come back next year.

For today only, you can score Free shipping at The Limited.  Plus you can also score an extra 25% off including off sale prices.  So you can pick up a pair of these sunglasses for only $9.74 shipped (org $29.50).  You can head over here to check it out. Use coupon code: 755 at checkout.

Don’t forget to shop through Ebates to score 2.5% cash back plus an additional $5 cash back if you are new to Ebates.

Walgreens New Coupon Policy Published

by Cindy on August 26, 2010

Woohoo!  Way to go Walgreens.  We will be marking this day down in coupon history and it’s a happy day here on LRWC.  The long awaited Walgreens Coupon Policy is now published on their website.  And, it addresses some of the confusing and sometimes frustrating coupon acceptance policies that have gone on at Walgreens stores throughout the country.  Some of the key items I am very happy to see addressed are:

1. The use of BOGO coupons with a BOGO sale:

When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.

2. A coupon for more then the amount of the item:

The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).

3. The use of internet printed coupons:

Walgreens accepts valid internet/print at home coupons.

So head over here, print a copy for yourself and keep it in your coupon binder/folder/envelope.

Thank you Walgreens!!
