You need to buy $20 but that is usually based on the shelf price although we haven’t confirmed that this deal is working on shelf price yet. My example is $20 based on shelf price if it is working that way. Once we learn that it is working on shelf price I will post so I you might want to wait to see unless you feel adventurous. If you do try the deal the way I posted, you just need to be sure that your shelf prices are the same as I posted. Some times they change the day of the sale or differ from store to store.
The Pathmark by me said all catalina deals are based on the sale price.
Can anyone clarify this? I’ve been experiencing some Pathmark catalinas issues and I’m in the Philly suburbs. I’m wondering if it’s the same thing, based on sale price.
I did the Unilever one twice yesterday (at the Cottman Ave Philly location), and both times it was based on shelf price, not sale price.
Thanks for the info, there’s still hope. I tried the unilever yesterday, but I bought 3 of the klondikes as part of it, so maybe that was the problem.
Hmm, in my circular the Klondikes weren’t listed as part of the promotion. I don’t recall seeing them on the little signs around the store, either. Did anyone have any success getting the cat with Klondikes?
I did two transactions. Wasn’t sure if a cat would print on the second one, since the ad and cat both said limit one per shopping family, but it did, yay. I bought:
12 bottles of Wishbone salad dressing
shelf: 1.79 x 12 = $21.48
sale: 1 x 12 = $12
minus 6x 1.25/2 = -7.50
For a total OOP of $4.50, and I got the $5 cat.
Then I got:
6 jars of PB (3/$5 or $10 total)
4 jars of Ragu (4/$5)
shelf was $2.49 a piece for a shelf total of $24.90
minus 3x $1/2 on PB (-$3)
minus 2x $1/2 on Ragu (-$2)
minus $5 cat from prior transaction
Total OOP: $5, plus it printed out a second $5 cat
I didn’t get close to $20 after sales or coupons for either of my transactions, but it still worked. My best guess is that since the catalina promotions aren’t run by the store, the store employees don’t always know the nitty gritty of their inner workings, and just kind of assume based on the way they think it should be.
Yes, if you ask at customer service they will tell you it is based on Sale Price but in fact the registers calculate it based on shelf prices. In 99% of the cases that is how it works at Pathmark
The Pathmark’s around here base it on sale price, I’ve been let down serveral times with catalina deals. I’ve compained to customer service many times, and they tell me it’s based on sale prices. You would think that the prices and policies would be the same everywhere. When I didn’t get the catalina, I had them return the stuff I bought.

No, swiping your card before or after you ring stuff up doesn’t really make a difference. Where abouts on LI are you? I’ve never had a problem with any central or eastern Nassau county stores I’ve tried and I hop around quite a bit depending on what else I’m doing that day…. the ones that I’ve tried all work on shelf prices. Hope that helps.

I always try to get the catalina and it calculates fine based on sales, but nothing prints, so I go to cust svc, and they keep telling me no it’s based on shelf price. Then I just return the stuff, you would think they would honor it, but they don’t.
I never had issues at the Sayville store…most of the time it’s based on shelf price. Just note, the shelf prices are slightly different from the ones posted here so you’ll have to do some adjusting.
I went to avenel,NJ pathmark store and bought 4 fantastik and 1 scrubbing booble but it did not print catalina so return the items
the Cat did not print b/c you’re “shelf price” wasn’t above 20$.
Did you check your shelf prices? They may be different then the ones posted. I post the deals only as a guide but you have to check your shelf prices to be sure that your shelf prices add up to the $20 qualifying amount. Also, sometimes the stores adjust the shelf prices down right when the sale starts. I haven’t had a chance to go this today to check and see.
Shelf Price for Febreze Set & Refresh was 2.99 at my store… very hard to find, had to ask CS and a stock guy bought me the last 4 they had.
Just came back from Pathmark. The catalina deal for SCG products were not shelf price they were sale price. The person at customer service said normally it is shelf price but they have been ringing up sale price. Anyone else running into this problem. So I returned and rerang items with coupons for catalina deal. It was still a good deal.

How many transaction in a day(with sale items and without sale item individually) you can do in path mark.
Because yesterday i went to gerwood i wanted to buy 6 bounty so on first transaction i bought 3 bounty and second time when i went to buy 3 more they told me limit is just one but i was giving them regular prise of 2 more they did not give me all 3 on second transaction
colgate catalina is working on shelf price. I bought (3) softsoap $3.59 shelf price and got $3.00 catalina.
