ShopRite Shopping Trip & a New ShopRite Calendar with Coupons!

ShopRite

If you are new to LRWC you might be saying to yourself, how does this women live off of what she is buying.  Well, truth be told, I couldn’t if I didn’t have a great stockpile.  But, thank goodness I do did because I’ve been so busy this last month that I have only had time to run out for the super cheap or free stuff.  So, yes, my shopping trips are so very low and no I can’t live on this stuff alone.  But I can and have been digging into my freezer and pantry.

The good thing is, I had the food to dig into and in the process I have been saving a ton of money on groceries this month because, well, I haven’t really bought anything that actually cost me money except for produce.  The other good thing is I had plenty for the kids to dig into as they were packing up to go off to college.  And little Miss Nikki helped herself to shopping bags full.  But, that is what is it there for of course.

So, I’ve saved up a bunch of the money I didn’t spend over the last month.  And now I have extra in case I need it to rebuild my stockpiles.  So, you should be seeing much bigger shopping trips coming up soon.  But for now, here is a little one I did last night at ShopRite.

2 Aunt Jemima Waffles $0.99 each
3 Right Guard $1.99 each
3 Chock Full o Nuts $1.99 each
1 Muir Glen Diced Tomatoes $1.59

-(1)$1.50/2 Aunt Jemima
-(1)$3/2 Right Guard **
-(3)$0.55/1 Chock Full o Nuts
-(1)$0.75/1 Muir Glen
-$2.00 catalina
-$3.00 catalina
tax: $0.42
Paid: $0.63
Received a $3.00 catalina (Right Guard)

**I took 2 $3/2 Right Guard coupons instead of a $3/2 & a $1/1.  So I didn’t use the amount of coupons I would have liked.  I seem to have disappearing coupons this week. I think Miss Nikki has also been rummaging through my coupons and helping herself because I was missing an Aunt Jemima and some Muir Glen. Hmm? :)   At least I know she should be using them when she heads to the food store at school.

I do want to point out the calendar that is in the picture. Be on the look out for it at your ShopRite. It’s a calendar to celebrate the Jewish New Year and there are a bunch of ShopRite store coupons inside. The coupons are good from 8/29 – 10/2. Some of the coupons include:

  • $0.75/1 Hunt’s Ketchup
  • $0.50/1 Tropicana OJ
  • $0.50/1 Stonyfield Farm Yogurt
  • %$0.55/1 Sabra Hummus
  • $0.50/1 Guiltless Gourmet Chips
  • $0.50/1 Coca Cola 48 oz bottle
  • $0.75/1 Fox’s U Bet Syrup
  • And more

These can be stacked with manufacturer coupons.

Are these calendars free or do they cost anything? I will have to look in my Shop Rite to see if they have them. Where did you find yours?

They are free. I found mine in a box by the exit.

I couldn’t find the calendar either, but if I do, I’ll try my best to post where I found it.

Also, I know you’re probably pretty busy, but if you ever have some free time… it’d be really interesting to see what you buy during the week that it’s on sale. I know that must be pretty difficult, I’m just mentioning it in case.. since us newbies sometimes have trouble figuring out how much to stockpile.

Thanks! I will be on the look out for these but The SR I go to in Philly never seems to have good coupons around.
