Staples: Hammermill Paper Money Maker or $0.49 at ShopRite!

Check out this deal that reader Trisha found at Staples.  Hammermill reams are on sale for $4.99 after instant savings.  Plus there is a $4.49 Easy Rebate.  Then there is a $2/1 Hammermill coupon in the 8/29 SmartSource.  So, you guessed it.  A money maker on paper.  And, you can submit for 2 Easy Rebates for a total money maker of $3.00 after coupons & rebate.  Here is your deal:

Buy 2 Hammermill Paper $6.79 – $1.80 instant savings = $4.99
-(2)$2/1 from the 8/29 SmartSource
Pay: $5.98
Submit for Easy Rebate of $4.49 each
free + $3.00 money maker

or if you don’t want to wait for the rebate, how about $0.49 at ShopRite. Reader Sue, alerted me that the Hammermill paper was on sale last week but I just checked now and it’s still on sale at only $2.49.  Here is your deal:

Buy 1 Hammermill Paper $2.49
-$2/1 from the 8/29 SmartSource
$0.49 each after coupon

(Thanks Trisha & Sue!)

I purchased 2 Hammermill today and used the $2 coupon. I just entered my rebate and I am only allowed 1 rebate. The rebate receipt only shows 1 rebate.

Staples may not be allowing the full rebates after coupon. I’m going to end up returning the items because I just ended up paying 2.99 for the one ream that did not qualify for the rebate (4.99 less 2.00 coupon). The cashier had to do an override for the $2.

Someone had mentioned that Staples may not accept manufacturer’s coupons. Maybe this is why the cashier had to do an override, which in turn, disqualified the item for a rebate.

I did not get anything else with my purchase. I wonder if others who purchased other items in the same receipt were able to use the coupon and also get the rebate for both reams of paper.

Hmm, you might be right. In order for them to allow the coupon they may have done something to the actually purchase of the product cause it to not recognize the purchase properly.
I’ve used coupons there before so I’m not sure why they did that.

I’m in Texas and didn’t get the coupon in my SS :(……..

Last time I was in Staples I asked the clerk if they accepted manufacturer’s coupons and she said, “No, only Staples coupons.” Some stores might accept them but it’s probably wise to ask first.

I hate it when I think I’m buying something for a good deal with coupons and it doesn’t ring up the way I want it to and then I have to return the item:(
