NJ Happenings This Weekend: Boo at the Zoo, First of Octember, and the Chatsworth Cranberry Festival

For New Jersey Residents:  Here are some free and/or inexpensive family activities for this weekend.

  • Saturday, October 16: Boo at the Zoo with Scooby Doo.  Scooby Doo and gang visits Insectropolis, the Bugseum of New Jersey in Toms River.  From 5-8pm enjoy Halloween activities with the Scooby Doo crew. Explore the spooky exhibits and win prizes.  Admission is $7.00.  Click here to find out more.
  • Saturday, October 16: First of Octember at the Costen Children’s Library in Princeton.  From 1-4pm use your imagination to invent or build a magnificent “something” in celebration of Dr. Seuss’ Holiday from his book Please Try to Remember the First of Octember.   • Saturday and Sunday, October 16 &  17: Chatsworth Cranberry Festival.  Bring your whole family for crafts, foods, music, pumpkins, and cranberries in celebration of New Jersey’s Cranberry Harvest.  From 9am – 4pm.  This event is free. Click here to find out more.
