Reader Tips & Deals

Here is a list of deals & tips that I received in my inbox or through comments.

Tastykake Kandy Kakes: Reader Bridget found some great coupons inside the last 5 boxes of Tastykake Kandy Kakes that she purchased.  The coupon were $1.50/1 Turkey Hill Ice Cream, Free breaksticks or chesset sticks at Papa Johns and $1/2 Pepsi Max 12 packs or off 1 – 2 liter bottles.

Ronzoni Quick Cook: Reader Victoria found $0.50/1 peelie coupons on the Ronzoni Quick Cook pasta at her ShopRite so you might want to keep your eye out for that when you are at the store.

Acme Free Crest: Reader Liz said to remember to pick up some Free Crest Toothpaste 6.4 oz with the $1/1 coupon from the 10/10 PG.  If you are heading to Acme for the Catalina deal you want as well throw that in your cart as well.

Rite Aid Clearance: Reader Sandy found some clearance items at Rite Aid this week.  Clearance items will vary by store but you can take next time you are there. Here is what she found:

Celestial Seasonings Te (chamomile only) $0.92
StarKist Tun (can) $0.52
StarKist Salmon Pouch $0.52
Campbells Tomato Soup Microwave can $0.52

Purina One Smart Blend: Reader Michelle was able to score the Purina One Smart Blend dog or cat food (6 oz) at Walgreens for free.  They are priced at $1.99 and you can use the $2/1 coupon from the 10/17 SmartSource insert

Last night I got several 4-packs of 60W energy saver light bulbs for 97 cents each at Home Depot (at least in CT). They didn’t have the original price on them but I think they usually sell for $10. My Home Depot had tons of them right by the registers.

I found Gain Fabric Softener on clearance at Rite Aid for 1.49 and used the $1.00 off to get them at .49 cents each. Sometimes, the clearance items on shelves are not marked, do a price check. The Chase and Sanborn coffee is still on clearance for .92 cents, I think, the Chicken of the Sea Tuna with the old label.
