  • Kristine Twardy-Todd

Cindy, for the Heinz Catalina, do you think you can get more than 1 at a time? I want to get 5 of the Smart ones and I have 5 coupons to match up against the Bagel bites as well, not sure if I should try it in separate transactions or not.

    • Cindy

My guess would be yes because most times you can do that but I’m not 100% yet until someone tries it.

  • Emily

Listen, you know for the Heinz thing, i got a yourbucks email it says for Only for Yourbucks members: From 10/10 to 10/16 Get 5 dollars in EB when you buy 5 heinz products,” will that print along with the one that shoprite is offering for the Price Plus Card people? If it does, that makes it FREE! 🙂

    • Cindy

I don’t know. That’s a good question. If it says it’s specific to Yourbucks members then I would think so but it seems strange that they would duplicate a catalina offer. I guess we’ll have to see what happens.

I don’t believe that you’d get an extra Catalina in that case because I got a Yourbucks email a while back for a similar promotion, but did not get anything extra once I purchased the items. The email does seem a bit misleading.

  • Joe

I just want to say thank you Cindy for doing this. This site has saved me (and others who I’ve sent here) a lot of money and has really helped during hard times. You obviously put a lot of love and effort into it and I want you to know it makes a big difference for people who are struggling to make ends meet. Thank you again.

    • Cindy

Joe, thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate it. But, I’m very thankful for you guys for coming here everyday and making this a special place to find great deals. There is so much wonderful contribution from so many readers and it helps everyone. So, I’m so thankful for that. And, most importantly, I’m happy you, and others are saving money!! 🙂

      • Kristine Twardy-Todd

I second that, times have been tougher being laid off, but between Hubby working more and all the money you help me save, we are doing better than I thought we would be!! Thank You so much!

  • lisa

The Quaker Mini Rice Snacks coupon is gone already. :o(

  • erika

I dont see the Wise coupon, what zip code should i use?? thanks

  • erika

    ban is gone!

  • Thank you Cindy! I will be saving $52 this week thanks to you and all your hard work! I really appreciate it!

  • Bridget

Ditto on the wise coupon ( what zip?)
Also ust an fyi, unless Im reading wrong, but the Honest tea sale is for the 16.9 oz bottles, and the coupons are only good for a 46oz bottle or 8pk juice :(. Anyone know of any other coupons?

    • Cindy

Wise coupon is gone but there is a $0.50/1 for any bottle of Honest Tea or Honest Ade. Possibly you already printed it prior to this so it’s not showing for you

      • Bridget

awesome went back in, and there is was. Wasnt showing last night? YEAH Free tea 🙂

  • Mac

There is no $1/1 Campbell’s Select Harvest printable at the link provided.

    • Cindy

I corrected the link. You should see it now under zip code 07039

      • Mac

I meant the link to campbellskitchen.com. That is for $1/2, not $1/1.

        • Cindy

Oh, okay. Fixed it. Thanks a bunch.

  • Toni

On the P&G catalina/gift card offer, my circular says it’s buy $40 worth of products, not $30. And the gift card will be $10…
And it’s also limited to one according to the fine print..

Thanks for all the work you do with these match-ups!

    • Cindy

I based it on $40 with a $10 and a $5 so the deal idea is correct.

    • Cindy

Well I should rephrase that. The deal idea is correct, if it is working on shelf prices.

      • Jig

        Cindy,

Any update from readers on whether the P&G deal is working on shelf prices? Need some Charmin and/or Bounty, and was going to do the CVS 10/25 deal, but my locals have none of the on sale sizes, so would be great if the Shoprite deal works on shelf. Also, is the mail in process difficult for the Visa card and are there monthly or other fees from your or readers’ experience?

        • Christine

This is what I bought that generated the $5 OYNO and $10 rebate for gas card:

4 Gain Fabric softner (sale $3.49 each)
3 Gain HE Detergent (sale $5.00 each)
1 Bounty paper towels (I needed paper towels) $9.99

          Total before coupons: $38.95

          less :
          (4) $1 gain fabric softner
          (1) in ad coupon GAIN detergent sale $4 after $10 minimum purchase (limit 1)
          (3) $1 Gain Detergent
          (1) .25 off Bounty paper towels (dobuled) from P&G mailer

          Total after coupons: $30.45

Its not the best deal that could have been done, but we prefer to use Gain HE and needed Bounty (its the first time I bought paper towels in over 8 months!! 🙂 so it worked for us since it provided a Cat for $ off OYNO AND free gas 🙂

But since the total price was less than $40 to begin with, I belive it is on shelf prices as Cindy originally stated.

          Hope that helps.

          • Cindy

            Woohoo! Thanks for sharing 🙂

          • Jig

Yes, it really helps! Just curious, is it a gas card rebate or a prepaid Visa like the ad says? Does it explain whether there are fees, etc? Thanks again!

            • Cindy

It’s a prepaid Visa. In the past, even if it is a gas card, you can still use it for anything. There was a gas card deal at pathmark and I just used the “gas card” to pay for groceries at ShopRite. No fees.

              • Bree

Sorry for the stupid question but how do we get the Visa? In the mail? Will a form with the catalina print out?

                • Cindy

Not a stupid question at all. A catalina usually print when you qualify. Then you just submit it in like a regular rebate.

  • Diane

Shope rite in clark is not excepting the $4.00 off 10 smartones, the front end clerk said it was on her “banned list” also the sale prices are not displayed. I asked the cashier to ring one up first to make sure I was getting the sale price.
I did buy 10 and got 2 cats for $5.00 each.
funny side note.. I was standing in line and the guy ahead of me had about a 275.00 order, he gives the cashier his shoprite card and coupons and says “lets see what we saved this week” lol.. so I’m thinking it’s gonna be huge!
the final tally was about $25.00 .. he was happy .. I grinned to myself and asked him if he knew about LRWC.. he said no, I told him about it and I said I normally save more than I spend and I never go over $100.00 since I’ve been using the website. he puts the info in his phone ,( do not really think he belived me lol) ( I hope he is reading this now lol) and off he goes , I was hoping too see him in the parking lot b/c my 96.00 order was reduced to 70.00 with $10.00 cat, and I saved 74.00 … lol… Thanks again Cindy for this great site.
And I second Joe’s comments.. my husband has been out of work for over 2 years and this site has been a godsend!
    Thanks again

  • gina

    Cindy…SuperPretzels are on sale @ ShopRite this week for $1.99. I have a coupon for .50 (ex 11/07). Price = .99

  • adele

this is the first week that we could use the purina, nestle, and kraft-nabisco coupons. Unfortunetly the shoprite ad doesn’t mention it or what products would be exceptable.

    • Cindy

You should be able to use it on any of the products in that brand. As a matter of fact, in the past, people have been able to add one lower priced item from that brand into their cart and the $5 catalina still deducted. Not sure if that will happen again this time but it has in the past.

  • jennifer

Ok I went to Shop Rite last night and notice a tag at the meow mix single cups buy 6 and get a $1.00 Catalina good until 10/30. There are 2 coupons I see out there first is from 9/26 RP $1.00/2 and second is last week buy 1 get 1 free.

    Deal Idea
    Buy 6 @$0.56=$3.36
    – (3) $1.00/2 coupons
    pay $.036 OOP
    Recieve $1.00 Catalina
    $0.64 MM

    OR
    Buy 6 @ $0.56=$3.36
    -(3) Buy 1 get 1 Free 1.68
    Pay 1.68 OOP
    Get $1.00 Catalina
    0.11 cents each

    • jennifer

I did the deal I posted here and bought 18 in one transaction with 9 Coupons $1.00/2 and got 3 one dollar catalinas.

  • Went to my SR in Warminster, PA and this week they are tripling coupons up to $.99 cents and a minimum purchase of $7.50. I ended up getting the Ajax laundry detergent for free. Is this happening at any other SR stores?

    • Cindy

I’ve been hearing rumors of that. I’m wondering what other stores are tripling.

      • Taryn

I noticed the same thing on my receipt last week however, it was only on coupons $0.50 and below. I am in MD. Hope this helps someone!

    • jennifer

No coupons were tripled on my reciept last leek, I did have some 0.50 and 0.75 coupons too, just got doubled. I shop at New London CT, not sure about this week yet.

      • Lynn

I also shop at the SR in Warminster PA. They are tripling coupons this week and I scored the Ajax for free too! They triple coupons up to 50 cents every couple of weeks.

        • Cindy

So, so, so, so jealous. Did I mention I was jealous 🙂

          • jennifer

No triples for me this week either, I am in New London CT.

          • Lynn

Don’t be too jealous you guys. This store only doubles up to $1.oo on regular weeks. So all of the .75 coupons that normally would double up to $1.50 do not! I figure this is their way of paying us back for losing out on so many other good deals! 🙂

            • Taryn

Have to agree with Lynn. My store only doubles up to $1.00 too! Got my free laundry detergent and $0.84 TP tonight!

  • linda clark

CindyIhave saved a bundle of money thanks to your website. The other day I even recommended the site to a complete stranger while d shopping at cvs. She saw me w/ my coupons and remarked that she uses them too and that CVS was going to pay her to shop> Imentioned your site that all the homework is pretty much done for us.Thank you for everrything! I have $20.00 in Kraft cats to spend this week.Do you have any good ideas for that one?? would Oscar meyer bacon be a Kraft product. Let me know your thoughts.Linda

    • Cindy

Actually a few readers have been telling me that they have been able to use the Kraft catalinas without buying one Kraft item. As well as the Nestle & Purina. But, yes, Oscar Mayer bacon is a Kraft product if you wanted to get that.

      • jennifer

        Ohhh that would be awesome!

        • jennifer

I did used those Nestle/Kraft/Purina Catalinas without buying one item from those brands without a problem used 30.00 worth in one transaction.

  • bernell

I was also wondering about the kraft/nestle catalinas!
I have $10 in cats to use this week!
    I’ll keep you posted!

  • Cindy,
have you heard if the Vicks catalina is working on the shelf price for dayquil and nyquil? Just wanting to make sure. THanks for everything!

    • Cindy

      Haven’t heard yet.

THANKS TO YOU, MY BILL AT SHOPRITE CAME TO $71.00, USED COUPONS AND PAID $42.00 OOP. SAVED $29, WHICH I USED TO BUY MY SON NEW SNEAKERS.

  • lisa

Here’s a link to coupon for $1.00 off a package of Oreo Fudge Cremes. There is also a coupon for $1.00/2 packages of Chips Ahoy cookies. I was able to print twice. Sorry if you already have it. I didn’t see it here and thought I’d pass it on.

    http://print.coupons.com/Couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=15553&nid=20&zid=wn19

Thanks Cindy for making saving so easy. I tell everyone to come here.

  • Kathy

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you too! I have eight beautiful children and a wonderful husband and this website has really helped me keep our grocery bill down. Last week my receipt said that I saved $138.00 I was very happy and so was my husband! 🙂 My older children just laugh when I come home and tell them that this item was free and this item was free. I still tease them though and tell them not to waste anything even if they were free 🙂 God Bless

  • On Hefty’s facebook page there is still a 1.00 off coupon that is printing.

    • Nancy J.

      Thanks Michele!!

  • Christine

Selected SR cereals are 3 for $5 this week. There is a “Back to School” SR booklet with $1 off specific SR cereals they were giving out at sampling tables two weeks ago. There are coupons for $1 off Honey Nut Toasted Oats, Frosted Flakes, and Crispy Rice. That makes them $0.67 each. The SR coupons in the booklet expire on 12/31/10.

  • Stefani

    Cindy,

Does your shoprite require supervisor override to use a $5 catalina? Mine does and I was unlucky to get one who checked my bags for the products. Problem is Kraft/Nestle make many products that do not have the Kraft/Nestle label.

    • Cindy

Mine requires an override for anything over $2.00. Drives me crazy because it just holds up the line and no one checks the coupon anyway. Don’t know what the point is when they do that.

      • jennifer

No one had to check mine.

    • nancy

The same thing happened to me and I couldn’t use that catalina. I’ll just visit another nearby SR. A Customer Service rep once explained that since their store is smaller (Union Mill 08054), they under more scrutiny for the coupons they accept.

  • Kristine Twardy-Todd

Cindy, for the Nyquil CAT I was able to use the 4.00/1 nyquil sinex product for the regular nyquil, making them 3 free with the $5 Catalina!

    • Annie

I was wondering if that would work – thx!

      • Kristine Twardy-Todd

No problem, even better is that it is working on Shelf price 🙂

  • Taryn

My ad shows the Colgate toothpaste at $.77. My 10/3 Smartsource had a coupon for $1.00 off of any Colgate. I think it’s regional, as some areas got $.75. Hooray, free toothpaste! There was also a $.40 coupon for any adult or manual Colgate toothbrushes in the same insert, but mine was for $1/2. It excludes the “extra clean” variety.

  • jennifer

Those Fisher Fusion trail mixes were still on sale for $1.24 this week and you can use the $1.00 off any Fisher nuts on them without a beep.

  • Danielle

    There’s also a $1/1 box of Mrs. T’s Pierogies coupon on coupons.com http://print.coupons.com/Couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=13306&nid=10&zid=iq37
    Makes them .99 each! 🙂

  • Stella

I just sent a lengthy email of complaint to the Shop Rite by me in Hudson, NY. Last week, not only did they refuse to double my internet coupons, but I was told that I could not use more than 2 internet coupons per like item (I had 4). The supervisor said that she was told that a person cannot print more than two per account. I patiently explained that there is not such thing as an account and that it is two coupons per computer. It is only this one person who uses those rules. If I had gone shopping another night I wouldn’t have had any problems. I could go on and on, but I will spare everyone. I do urge those who have been given the run around on coupon policies at their location to contact them. I’m willing to follow the rules if I know them. And if these are the new rules, I am not spending the gas money to go out of my way to Shop Rite.

    • PK

If you use self-checkout, you can avoid many problems. I too have written to my local Shoprite. I have not yet received a response. The store associate actually walked over to the manager yelling “this is a fraudulent coupon”. My husband is using the word “slander”. I just want them to post the rules and be consistent among all the associates in the store.

      • Stella

Thank you for your suggestions PK. I will let everyone know if I ever get a reply to my email. There is no self checkout at my store 🙁 I too only want consistency. I can’t plan my shopping trip without knowing what coupons they will accept.

    • deanna heuer

Stella I too shop at hudson and find there rules more strict than the one in kingston. If you can go there they are a little better with their coupon policy. They double the ones that say do not double. The hudson one actually told me I couldn’t do 2 orders anymore that you are only allowed 4 of the same coupons per person no matter if it’s 1 order or 2. Kingston doesn’t do that.

      • Jessi K

I am sorry to hear that your Shoprite are not coupon friendly. Come and shop at the one in Middletown! I have never had a problem. The customer service is awesome I had missed a bunch of q’s for my order as they got stuck in my little pouch. With out a blink they credited me back the money =) The rules are simple they only accept 4 of the same manufacture q in one order. They always let me to two separte orders if it is a really hot deal. Stock goes quick but they are great with rain checks.

      • Stella

Deanna, it’s great knowing that another “couponer” goes to the same Shop Rite I do. I felt like I was the only one, in the whole store, using a stack of coupons. I’m curious to know when they started being strict with you. The Hudson store takes me 20 min. to drive to from my house in Kinderhook, but I go after work so I am coming from Albany and that takes me 45 min. Unfortunately, I don’t live close enough to the Kingston store. I really hope I get a response to my email.

        • Bree

My SR, which is VERY far away from you all (Lyndhurst, NJ) is super coupon friendly. I think the difference from SR to SR is that they are independantly owned – so basically they can tweak the rules however they’d like. I’m smack dab in the middle of 2 SRs and a 3rd a little farther away. The Kearny SR refuses to take ANY internet coupons at all. They told me at least 60% of the ones they were getting were fraudulent. I can honestly say that none of mine were because all of my SR deals come from here and Cindy never directs us to any “questionable” content. So long story short, I guess it depends on who owns the SR and that will determine their copon policy?

    • Stephanie

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has been informed of new rules at SR. This morning I went food shopping with my mom and we always do our own transactions but we use my card since my mom doesn’t shop there very often so she didn’t want to get her own. Anyway the cashier told me we couldn’t do 2 transactions with the same card, I asked her since when? We always do. She said something about working there 6 years but when I continued to question she said they started it last week. So which is it? Then my mom hands the cashier an internet coupon and now they have to get them approved from a manager. Fine I can understand that but when I gave her mine she said she could only accept ONE internet coupon for like items. Before that she instructed me to move my cart to the end of the lane where my mother was bagging. I was standing in front of it and was waiting to hand her my coupons then I would walk down but she said something about a camera to check for items under the counter and the cart is blocking it. Which is complete bull. I worked for Stop and Shop for 10 years. The only thing down there is a sensor that says check under cart. I felt so stupid with the line waiting behind me. I travel pretty far to the Hauppauge, NY store(I live on LI) because of the great sales but this is just ridiculous. I’ve only been shopping there for a couple of months and on another occasion I had a whole thing with them not doubling internet coupons even though they double automatically at the register. A manager caught a trainee let one double without fixing it and they had to void and re-ring my whole order because I said I didn’t want the item then if it won’t double (The manager insisted the cashier scanned 2 of the internet coupons when it had only been one and couldn’t get the second one to void). This makes me not want to shop there anymore.

      • Stella

Stephanie. I can relate to your frustration. I went to SR’s website and emailed a complaint. To my surprise a nice woman from Corporate (Kingston NY for me), called me back. She said that the floor manager working that night was incorrect. They accept 4 like coupons (regular and internet) and they do double internet coupons unless the coupon says “do not double”. Also, I mentioned how I adhere to the no using “free” coupons in the store. She said that they should accept buy one get one and regular “free” coupons. This was nice to hear but I still haven’t shopped there since the incident almost one month ago. Eventually, I will most likely start shopping there again, but for now I don’t need the aggravation. I work all day and I just don’t need anymore stress. I urge you to email SR and tell them about your experience. Take down the name of the person who returns your call. The next time anyone at SR gives you trouble let them know that you spoke with ______ from corporate and you are following the rules.

        • Stephanie

Thank you, Stella. I will write a complaint. Just like someone else had wrote, I don’t mind following the rules as long as the rules don’t change every time I go! I may try the Bayshore, NY store and see how that goes. They’re both just as far from me I think. I just hate being treated like a scam artist. I work very hard for my money and I spend a lot of time making my shopping lists and matching them with the coupons.

  • George M. Vanderbush

Check out the Shoprite sale on Woodlands birdfood, It is made by Kaytee, Your coupon for $3.00 off 2 bags will work.

  • Aileen

I notice the Heinz catalina says “one coupon per purchase”. Am I going to be able to use 2 on one shopping trip?

  • lisa

    Cindy,
I see you posted the link to the Oreo Cremes that I provided. Glad you found it helpful.

    • Cindy

I must not have received your email because I always try to thank whoever sent it. I’m assuming you mean on the Walgreens post because that is where I posted the link to the Oreo Cremes. I did get your email for the Al Fresco and just updated my post and thanked you there.
      Thanks a bunch!!

  • lisa

    Cindy,
I posted it here on this post on October 11th. I didn’t see the ‘contact’ button until today. Sorry about that. I will send tips that way from now on.
And again, I must say a big *thank you* to you for your work in finding the bargains, and making it so easy to coordinate them. I always save big now.

    • Cindy

You can do it here. That is fine. This way others can see it quickly. I try to pull out good ones and put them in a separate post but sometimes I will miss a comment that comes through. Usually the emailed ones I get though. So, by all means, post them here and share with others!! And, if it’s super hot…mail it to me too 🙂

  • Mary

Wanted to share my shopping experience today. I had $20.00 in catalinas from last week and many coupons for my purchases. My food order came to about $221…before coupons…and $102 after. However, I received (3) $5 coupons from heinz, (1) $5 coupon for vicks; and (1) $5 coupon for the P&G along with the $10.00 visa. I was so happy with that! Thank you for this site!! My shoprite receipt said I saved $183 today, but I don’t understand how they compute that. (does anyone?) At checkout I also received a catalina for $2 for (3) barilla and another for $1 off (2) hershey drinks.

After I got home and unpacked, I realized I forgot an ingredient i needed for dinner..so I had to go back to shoprite! ugh! I remember the catalinas for barilla and hersey and purchased those items..and the total came to $1.64…and then those same catalinas printed! Well, I had to go back and repurchase the same items…and it happened again! Finally I just had to leave the store. But, before I did, I got 9 boxes of barilla pasta…and 6 bottles of Hersey drink for less than $5…and those catalinas were still printing. It was a good shoprite day!

    • Bree

They are also calculating the money you saved using your good ol’ ShopRite card. For example, if you bought Gain using your SR card you already saved $1.99 because the price without it is $6.99.

  • Kathy

Just wanted to let you all know that the Stayfree pads are on sale this week in my flyer for 1.99 24ct and there is a .50 coupon 9/26/10 SS that would make them .99 cents! sounds good to me. Also Swiss Miss Hot cocoa is on sale for .88 cents and there is a coupon for 1.00/3 SS 10/3/10 making them .55 cents each the cold weather is coming so Hot Cocoa is always a big hit in our home!
note: in the great NE area our coupon is 1.00/3 but in the coupon data base it stated 1.00/2 so some regions may even be able to get it for .38 cents each 🙂

  • steph

    wowie i love this site!
ok, everyone i have to share my excitement and give a little fyi, hoping it will help someone….
so i did 4 transactions today at 2 different shoprites. but my total spent was $85.42 and my total saved was 272.72!!!!!!!!!!!(358 dollars worth of groceries)
i have 40 smartones in my freezer (thanks to my mom who printed me off 2 more coupons).

anyway, fyi-in my second to last transaction, i bought 5 classico sauces, 20 smartones, the dayquil sinex, and the wolfgang puck’s chicken broth. and i paid with 2 heinz catalina’s. and i got all 7 catalinas in that one transaction. (i thought maybe i would have had to split things up more, but i didn’t.) and i had a really nice cashier, christian, at the somerset shoprite.

anyway, thanks everyone! love this site
oh,and i have a upcoming catalina deal in november for kleenex. i will find the info for you and post! (unless you already have it)

  • Bree

OK kind of late but here’s what I did for the P&G deal – it’s not the best deal I could’ve done but I needed laundry detergent.

3 Cheer – $5 each (the catalina uses the shelf price of $6.99)
    3 Gain – “”

    Total – $30 + tax (can’t remember exact total)
    3 $2 Cheer coupons
    3 $1 Gain coupons

    New Total $21 + tax

    – $5 OYNO
    – $10 GC
= $6 + tax for 3 bottle of Cheer and 3 Bottle of Gain ($1 + tax per bottle)

  • JR

Has anyone tried to submit more than one of the P&G visa card offers? Usually the rebate forms specify “one per household”, but this one does not seem to do that. The only limitation we see (which is typical on rebate forms) is no PO Boxes.

  • alyssa

do you have the address/phone # for the slip Buy $40, Get $5 Catalina and a $10.00 Visa Prepaid Card
