    Several Notes,
I purchased 6 Pillsbury Grands and only received a $1.00 Cat, I think the 3 dollar Cat expired last week.
The Glade deal is still going, The same items are still on sale, with the same Cats.
There are supposed to be Tasty Cake boxes with a $1.50 coupon off Turkey Hill ice cream, I could not find them in my store, But keep your eyes open, They are on sale for $1.99, The Turkey Hill is on sale for $1.99 so you could score a Box of Tasty Cakes and a container of Turkey Hill for $2.49 if you can find them.

    • Lisa

George, would you mind sharing where are you getting your coupons from?

      • Cindy

Lisa they are all listed in the match ups above. I added the additional deals that George found like the Maruchan Yakisoba Noodles, Muir Glen, etc.

      • George

        Sure Lisa,
I start by buying 4 different newspapers every Sunday, Usually every papers coupon inserts are somewhat different. Some have different values, some have different coupons, I review each insert by which paper it came in to see if it is worth going back and buying a couple more of that particular paper. Note, always check that your coupons are in there before leaving the store. But most of my coupons come from Coupon Dede, Her link is on Cindy’s home page. Because of her region of the country Texas, her coupons are usually much better than ours, the biggest difference is the value, For example most of our coupons in this region are off of 2 products and the values prevent doubling. A perfect example of that is the coupons I used today, Our inserts have Skippy 75 cents off 2, she has 60 and 50 cents off of 1, Our inserts have Mt Olive $1.00 off 2, she has 75 cents off of 1, She has Helluva Good 55 cents off of 1, I do not believe we received Helluva Good coupons in this area. I also know the sales cycle of most items, so I bulk up on coupons, For instance I know Chock full of nuts coffee goes on sale Approx every 4 weeks, So when she has 75 cents off coupons that do not expire for a couple of months I buy about 20 to 30, I also of course print coupons off the internet, Hope this helps.

    • Pam

      George…the Kraft Mac & Cheese coupons…where?… I can’t seem to find these.

      • George

You have to play the noodle game, search Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
Its easy to play and easy to win, You can print each coupon twice, In the easiest game to win, you will get a .55 cents coupon off 2@ Kraft Mac and Cheese

        • Pam

          Thanks …You’re the best..

      • Cindy

Here is the game that George is referring to. I’ll add it to the match ups http://www.kraftbrands.com/macandcheese/pages/default.aspx

        • Sally

This game drives me crazy, I can never get it to spin right :)

    • Sue

Hi George, great job. My daughter said the coupon for Turkey Hill is inside the lid of the Butterscotch krimpets. The box is not marked on the outside she just happened to find it.

  • David Y.

I had the same result as George with the Grands. I was upset that I only recieved a $1 cat but what can you do? It was too early in the morning to return the extras so we’ll just give them to someone who uses more than we do. It was $2.90 for all after coupons, cellfire and cat so not that bad I guess.

    • Cindy

Hmm, interesting because I had in my notes that this was until the 18th. Wondering what that $1 cat is from.

      • George

Good Morning Cindy, I noticed that a lot of the Pillsbury products have a Cat sticker on the shelf that says $1.00 Cat when you buy 4, although they were not specifically tagged under the Grands, Maybe this is where the $1.00 Cat is coming from.

        • Cindy

Possibly. So, it’s just a buy 4 Get $1 Catalina. I’ll update the post to reflect that. Thanks a bunch George!

  • Maria

    HTH
I found a $1.00 off one box of Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Pasta in my coupon box. I searched the coupon database to find out where it was from (I cut my coupons out each week) and it doesn’t list it. It might be a local coupon. I live in Westchester County in New York. On the back of one of the coupon is a picture of hormel salami and the other has a picture of the personalized M&M. If you find them it would make the pasta .33 cents.

    • George

I have these, will be using later in the week.

  • andy

George, how come your Philadephia cream cheese was 0.50 each before coupons when it is 0.99 in the flyer and where is 0.55/2 coupon from?

    • George

      Good Morning Andy
The 50 cents each and .55 off of 2 is for the Kraft Mac and Cheese, not the Cream Cheese.

  • andy

By the way I also encountered the limit of 4 oyno catalinas redeemed per day – (not 4 of the same kind, 4 total!) this was yesterday and just 3-4 days before that the same store took much more than 4 without batting an eye. Had to take some stuff off my order and go to another store to use up the rest, yikes.

    • Cindy

My ShopRite has always been that way, only allowing 4 catalinas per transaction.

  • MillburnLaura

Has anyone checked out the BumbleBee packets on sale? I want to order coupons, but am a little nervous about the specific product on sale…?? Seems like a great foodbank item if I can really get it for free after coupons.

  • ANONYMOUS

How do you get the wet ones coup? I enter my info, it says thanks for printing but nothing ever prints?

    • Jen Lynch

Hold the control key down as the page opens and if a yellow bar appears at the top of the web page, right click and allow pop ups.

  • hallie

There is a $1 off coffee mate coupon through their facebook page. It is a bricks and prints twice.

  • Christine S.

I’m looking forward to the new mini-series…’Watch George use his Cats!” You made me LOL!

I don’t go to SR w/out checking out & printing Cindy’s awesome list and everyone’s comments, esp. yours George! Since I shop on Fridays I really get the updates. Thx!

  • kristin

is the glade the holiday ones again or the regular ones?

  • Bernell Holmes

I just wanted to thank you Cindy and my man George!!! You two rock!!!
I just came home from church, and couldn’t wait to get to my computer to see which deals George did!!!:-)
    Thank you so much!
I look forward to shopping and living rich w/coupons!
I have been able to save so much money.
My husband and I don’t even have to use credit cards anymore, because I am now a smart shopper!
    Thank you so much!

    • Cindy

My husband and I don’t even have to use credit cards anymore, because I am now a smart shopper!

Now that is the best news yet and my ultimate goal in providing these deals. So none of us have to ever use credit cards again!!! That put such a big smile on my face that I clapped. Yay!! :)

      • Kristine Twardy-Todd

I am living Credit Card Free as well…still have some debt I am catching up on, but I live solely on cash!

        • Anonymous

We’ve also joined that ship. I have my envelope of cash at every trip!

      • Bernell Holmes

I have tears in my eyes!!!
It is absolutely amazing! This time last year, we were charging a lot of stuff! Figuring out out balance transfers, etc. etc.
My husband has a great job (thank God), and I am a stay at home mom during the week…..I am a bandleader for a Philadelphia Wedding Band on the weekends, which allows me to stay home!!:-)
And I’ve only been using coupons since July! Your site was one of the first I found and I’ve been coming here every week!
We went from spending $500-$600/month to now $150 month! And if I add all my rite aid rebates, it’s much less than that…:-)
But I am so thankful, especially during these holiday seasons, that I have been able to buy NUMEROUS gifts for my children, family, and I have donated a TON of food and toys, and I haven’t had to charge anything!
        Sorry this is so long!
But we took our car in for an inspection and the bill was OUTRAGEOUS!!!! My husband wanted to charge it, but I told him, nonsense..I took that checkbook out quickly (well not quickly..lol)…and we actually wrote a check for a large sum and felt good about it.
My ultimate goal is to be completely out of debt in the next 2 years.
Kristine and everyone else, I’m right there with you!!!
        Anything is possible!!!!!

        • Pam

A good friend of mine turned me on to “Real” couponing a little less than a year ago. I can’t begin to tell you the difference it has made in our lives. We have a large family and our grocery bill (including personal care items ..shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, etc…) was about $800-$1000/month..yikes.. Now I spend about $350-$425/month. I have stocked up on a lot of items and the quality of the products we are now using is much higher. We now have Zero credit card dept and we are planning to take the whole family on a vacation for the first time in 8 years!!! This site has been a God Send !!! I tell everyone who will listen about the kind, helpful people who post here. Thanks Barbra for hooking me up with livingrichwithcoupons …running into you in CVS in the middle of the night turned out to be one of the best things to happen to my wallet in years.

        • Cindy

You guys can’t make me tear up so early in the morning. I got posts to put up and I can’t do it with teary eyes. :)
But, isn’t that the best feeling, to be able to pay for that without charging it. We actually had the exact same thing happen to us earlier in the year. One of our “new to us” cars did not pass inspection and required a large repair. We paid for it cash (with a little juggling). But, I could have NEVER done that before. NEVER! It was such a great feeling. Anything IS possible!!

          • George

A very wise man once gave me great advice,

“It is not how much you make, It is how much you keep”
If you make 20K, you will spend 20K
If you make 40K you will spend 40K
If you make 80K you will spend 80K
If you make 120K you will spend 120K

It took me a long time to get this, even though it is really is very simple concept,
As we go thru our lifes, we all hit hurdles which are unpleasant, but most do experience continued success and improvement in their incomes, But if you continue to spend the same as you did 20 years ago, you really have made no progress, You can have the best job in the world, and have a fancy car, and have a 8 bedroom house, and many other examples of exorbitant spending, but you still are not making any more money.

            Thanks Dad.

            • Cindy

And Dad was so right. It took my husband and I too many years to learn it as well but I’m so glad that it finally sunk in for us. And, although we learned later in life, my kids are learning a great lesson. And, learning it at a time when they can really live it themselves as well. If you haven’t read the book, The Millionaire Next Door, you should. Great book.

              • George

I will check out that book, Thanks Cindy

                • Christine S.

I’ve been using envelopes for over 15 years now. It certainly helps curb spending. If we need something new like furniture we start an envelope and put a little in it each week. When the food money envelope is empty, we wait to purchase more food. I certainly have enough of a stock pile.

I’ve been couponing since July, and I’ve helped others in ways that I would have never imagined. This is such a wonderful community, as I’ve said before.

Cindy, I agree The Millionaire Next Door is a great book! That and any of the Dave Ramsey books and programs. Continued success and support to all of you!

  • Kristine Twardy-Todd

Cindy-by the way, with the Poptarts, the Catalina is still running until 12-18. I bought 3 for $5.64, I had a $1.25/3, so 4.39 total and I got a $2 CAT back!

    • Cindy

Nice. I’ll update the post. Thanks a bunch.

      • Kelly

i went today 12/13 bought 3 poptarts but no $2 catalina . hope that helps.

        • http://livingrichwithcoupons Becky

None for me either – and I tried it two different times.
          Are catalinas regional?

  • Gina

GEORGE….Could you possibly start shopping @ Rite Aid & post those trips as well? Oh, and could you please shop like you have 3 little ones in diapers? That wold be great. Thanks! ;)

  • Bernell Holmes

    Oh,
I just checked the Shop Rite circular online and the smart balance milk is priced at $2.49!! There was a $2.00/1 smart balance coupon from 10/31 RP. Making it .49!!!My area didn’t get this value, but I ordered a ton from Dede. But they expire on 12/15!!!
My kids go thru milk like it’s going out of style!!

    • Kristine Twardy-Todd

I had the .75/1, still would make it $1 a half gal. or $2 for a full gal., cheaper than most stores…didn’t see it in my circular though, I’ll check it out with my coupons next time I am there though, thanks!

  • Pam

Ok so something ODD happened…I was interested in the gift card deal…where you buy $100 in participating gift cards and you get a $10 catalina. Barnes and Noble was one of the gift cards on the list ..Hubby wanted the NookBook $245 so I figured I would get $300 in gift cards from ShopRite (plus the catalinas) and go to Barnes and Noble use the cards to buy his gift and some other gifts and have gotten $30 in free groceries for my effort. The ad is dated 12/12-12/18 but the gift card deal is only valid thru 12/11…. I called the store and spoke to a manager before I went and he made sure I got my catalinas..(I love the Bayville NJ store) Just wanted to let you all know if you were planning to do this deal that you need to talk to someone at Customer Service and show them the conflicting dates…apparently there is a deal code that they can punch in that will force the catalina to print.

    • Kristine Twardy-Todd

I go to the Bayville, NJ store too…always good customer service there!

      • Pam

I love that store and I have 2 fav cashiers Andrea and Rosa that always treat me like family..

  • Dave

I played the Kraft game, won the mac & cheese coupon and then it said I’ve already printed the coupon. I’ve never played the game before, and haven’t printed any mac & cheese coupons in at least a year. Are the prints just out?

  • Kristine Twardy-Todd

FYI, I was able to use 5 Catalinas from the Catalina deals last week with no problems, no beeping etc. :)

    • andy

They should not beep if all barcodes are different.

  • George

    Good Morning All,

Take you all for your kind comments, Cindy is the driving force behind this GREAT site, I just enjoy being the self appointed Shop Rite shopper and testing all the deals, I am there so often, I figured I would share the info with all of you, Now I do realize my trips are demonstrations of using coupons, I am sure most are using their Cat’s on Meat and Produce, I will to some extent at the end of the week, but right now my Freezers and Fridge are overflowing, never the less you can still see the AWESOME savings without using the Cat’s, Plus we donate tons of stuff to the homeless and the food bank, so please remember the deals I do are somewhat slanted towards our donation goals, For instance I will be purchasing over 50 cans of Redpack tomatoes this week, Obviously no one needs a stock pile that big on 1 item, but most will be donated.

Now for today’s notes and shopping trip.

Found a new coupon tear pad today by the front end registers, There are cardboard displays of Extra gum by Wrigley. The coupon is B1G1 and on sale for $1.19 thats .60 cent per pack for you gum chewers.

    The answer is!!!!!!

Ooh, I didn’t realize that Kraft Homestyle dinners were on sale for $2.00. I’ve been wanting to try them for a while. Now I’m gonna buy 4 bags using the B1G1 coupon that you turned us onto yesterday!! Thanks George.

    • Lori

Just wanted to let you know I did find the Turkey Hill coupon in the Tastykakes! I bought 2 boxes at another store just to see. Opened them up in the parking lot and found a $1.50/1 for Turkey Hill! Totally felt like a golden ticket!
The boxes do say something about savings found on the inside and I only saw it on the Krimpets.

  • Vanessa

Hi all..just wanted to let you know, i was going through my printed cps and found a 1.50 off smuchers jam, jelly, preserves of fruit spread with no size restrictions. I dont know where it was printed from, but you may want to check through what you have. (exp. 1/31/2011)

  • Cara

    Cindy,

People have mentioned purchasing coupons from Dede. Do you have a website for this company/person? Thanks.

    • Cindy

There is a link on the right side of my site about halfway down.

      • Cara

Thank you…..and thanks for all the great advise on saving some money.

  • Karen B

Sobe drinks – 5 for $5.00 each comes with a $.50 peelie, so with our $.05 deposit and tax, each one cost = $.14. Yay. Does the store realize this? who cares

  • Dawn

You guys crack me up! George, what store do you shop at?

    • George

I shop at the Rockaway NJ store, This store is Awesome, very clean, great prices, and an excellent staff.

      • Cindy

Hey, I’m from Rockaway :) Shopped at that store for many many many years growing up. Even when it was further up on Rt. 46.

      • Dawn

I shopped that store for many years myself and my mom still shops there. I miss it there!

        • George

Yes Cindy, I thought this would bring back memories of your old stomping grounds, I live in Rockaway Borough and know that you used to live in Rockaway, It is a great store, I also shopped in the old store, I am an Operations Manager , so while I am shopping, I also pay very close attention to the Operational side of this particular store, They really have it together.

Dawn, Your Mom has probably seen me shopping, I spend a lot of time in this store. Mind you, I could probably be in and out in 15 minutes, because I know when every single item is, but I am a Zig Zag shopper, Yeah, you know, The guys like me, that Zig Zag across every aisle like a lunatic, My wife will not even go with me, She says I’m crazy, I go into each aisle 20 times, I could organize my coupons by aisle, but just don’t, Guess it’s therapy and relaxation for me. What can I say, I love wandering around the store looking for deals.

  • Jennifer K.

Has anyone had any difficulty with the Rayovac coupon from the First for Women December issue? I bought the magazine last week on a whim, since it says on the front that it has lots of coupons in it. So I went to use the Rayovac coupon today and the cashier told me that it came up as “fraudulant”! That was the word she used. I was like – HUH!? I told her that I got it from this magazine (pointed to the magazine on the stand). I even opened it up and showed her where the coupon was, but she and the manager said that it was coming up as fraudulant and there was nothing they could do about it.

    • Aileen

I had a similar problem with the printable Rayovac from their Facebook page. There are other comments on their FB page about others having the same problem. I could see denying a printable coupon but not one from a magazine…especially when you showed them exactly what magazine it was from.

      • Nancy J.

I had the same problem as Aileen. I shopped at night & was told I could come back during the day & speak the daytime customer service manager.

        • Sally B

My shoprite says the same thing about the one from facebook.

          • Marisa

SAME AT MY SHOPRITE LAST WEEK WITH FACEBOOK Q!

  • Annie

At my Shoprite tonight, there was a catalina on the College Inn broth. It is $1 OYNO WYB $3 of any College Inn broth 14.5oz cans OR $1 OYNO WYB $4 of any College Inn broth 32oz cartons. The dates are 12/12-12/19. Combined with the coupons makes this a great deal! The cans are on sale 3/$2 (must buy 3), and the cartons are $1.99ea.

  • Kathy C

For the Triaminic/ Theraflu catalina does anyone know if you can mix and match? In other words do I have to buy 2 Theraflu or can I buy one Theraflu and one Triaminic?

    • http://livingrichwithcoupons Becky

I mixed it and it worked!

      • Kathy C

        Thanks!

  • Tina

Hey Cindy, is the coupon in coupon.com the same thing as the one in Smart source? Because, if u remember me, is been 3 weeks now that I’m unable to print from coupon.com, but I can print from Smart source. So, I just want to know so I won’t be running myself crazy in installing and uninstalling the software. Thanks so all your help.

    • Cindy

Some of the coupons in coupons.com are the same in Smart Source but not all of them. Have you tried emailing coupons.com and letting them know all the issues you have been having with printing?

      • Tina

Thanks Cindy. I haven’t done that yet, but I will do it right away. Thanks a lot.

  • Amanda

There is a printable coupon available for the Bic Soleil razors!

    http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=zlnhfbj19966608&bt=wi&o=62753&c=BC&p=dYVJxuM6

I got the link off of the Bic Soleil website. It’s for $2.00 of a 3 pack of Soleil *Bella* razors, which are included in the $2.89 sale.

Between the printouts, Sunday’s papers, and a couple coupons I’d been saving, I am all stocked up on razors for a while!

  • Rebekah

Is anyone having trouble using more than one Catalina from last week in a single transaction? I thought I could use up to 4 in a transaction but yesterday my cashier would only let me use one $2.50 Catalina and one $5 Catalina for each transaction. When I tried to use a second $2.50 Catalina she said they were only one per transaction. I looked on the coupon and didn’t see any restrictions in fine print about how many you could use per transaction but I had to split my order up into lots of small purchases to use all the coupons. Has anyone else had this issue?

    • George

Could be a Store specific policy, I have used 4 Holiday Cash Cats and 1 Glade Cat everyday this week in my store.

      • hallie

My store has been letting me use all the Holiday Cash Cats in one trip. Ask at the Customer Service counter.

    • http://livingrichwithcoupons Becky

I find it depends on the cashier. At my store, I asked at the customer service desk the week of the catalina deals how many I could use at a time, and they said 4. So now, everytime a cashier says I can’t use more then one, I just put up a polite stink, so to speak, and tell them that I was told otherwise. If you tell them firmly but nicely that no such restriction was in the ad, and the standard store policy is to accept up to four of the same coupon, they cave pretty quickly. Sometimes they have to call the manager over for an override, but its always worked out. BTW I spell my full name the same way you do!

  • George

    Good Afterno0n,
    The Mini Series continues,

Kind of a small trip today, I stocked up on some basics. I wanted to use up my Minute Rice coupons before they expire on the 18th, not that bothered by it, They are not on sale, but seldom are. I also wanted to use my Ziploc container coupons while they are on sale, and I have $1.00 off 1 coupons, not the usual $1.00 off 2 which I think are printed a million at a time.

My store does not have the Sobe peelies, However they do have hang tags on the Honest tea for $1.00 off 2, This is not as good as the .50 printable that doubles, but you can only print 2, so if you like the product look for these in your store.

    Todays trip:

    Bonnie Bell Lip Smackers
    2 x 1.25 = $2.50 – 2@ $1.00 – $2.00 = $.50 oop
    Blue Diamond Almond Nut Thins
    2 x $1.99 =$3.98 – 2@ .50 doubled – $2.00 = $1.98 oop
    McCormick Brown Gravy
    6 x .34 = $2.00 – 3@ .25 doubled – $1.50 = $.50 oop
    Kozy Shack Pudding
    2 x $2.49 = $4.98 – 2@ .55 doubled -$2.20 = $2.78 oop
    French’s Spicy Brown Mustard
    4 x .79 = $3.16 – 4@ $1.00 – $4.00 = $.84 cents credit (fully came off)
    Ziploc Containers
    4 x $2.49 = $9.96 – 4@ $1.00 – $4.00 = $5.96 oop
    Minute Rice
    4 x $2.39 = $9.56 – 4@ .50 doubled – $4.00 = $5.56 oop
    Wet Ones
    2 x $1.24 = $2.48 – 2@ .75 doubled – $2.48 = Free oop
    Pillsbury Cookie Mix
    4 x $1.50 = $6.00 – 4@ .50 doubled – $4.00 = $2.00 oop
    Honest Tea
    2 x $1.25 = $2.50 – 2@ .50 doubled – $2.00 = .50 oop
    Wishbone Dressing
    1 x $1.74 = $1.74 – 1@ .50 doubled – $1.00 = .77 oop

    33 items purchased
    Full Price $64.67
    Total Oop $19.71
    Used 2@ $5.00 Holiday Cash Cat’s
    Used 2@ $2.50 Holiday Cash Cat’s
    Used 1@ $4.00 Glade Cat
    Total New Oop $.71

    See Ya tomorrow,
Note: the Blue Diamond Almond IP does beep when you use it, but it is OK to use on the Nut thins which are on sale, The coupon clearly states off of any Blue Diamond product. In my store these are located by the fancy crackers, not in the nut aisle, I have had them before, they are very good.

  • Liz

Thank you, everyone, for all the tips, comments and inspiration! I’ve always been a big couponer, but this site has helped me take it to a whole new level. I finally got the coupon printer to work, so have been printing coupons like crazy. And, believe it or not, I just now realized you can create your shopping list by clicking the box next to the match-up — DUH! Can’t believe it’s taken me this long.

    • Tina

Hi Liz, how do u get your coupon printer to work? I’ve been battling with mine now for the past 3 weeks. I have Windows NT Professional. Thanks.

      • Liz

I’m not really sure, to be honest. Must have downloaded it 5 separate times – this time it took for some reason. Just keep trying!

        • Tina

Thanks. I’ve downloaded for more than 20 times.

          • Liz

Ugh. I think the one that finally worked was one I got off of the Kelloggs site. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

  • Patti

I have a Muir Glen canned tomato product question…I never buy these but now I have the Qs so I will! :) My question is this…would anyone know if this brand ever goes on sale. I saw the .99c tomato sauce on the shelf but would rather have the $1.79 fire roasted tomatoes but would rather not pay $.79. If anyone knows, much appreciated!

    • Cindy

Patti, yes it does go on sale every now and then. I have gone on sale for as low as $0.99 but usually I’ve seen them for around $1.25

      • Aileen

Also sometimes you can get the .75/1 coupons, so if your store doubles, they can be cheap or free.

    • Patti

Big thank you Cindy & Aileen.

  • http://livingrichwithcoupons.com Corinne

I was just wondering if anyone else has asked Santa for a “George” this year. I have been so good, I hope I get one! ;-)

    • Melissa B.

ROTFL!!!!! I wish my husband could just understand the concept. The only thing he gets is at the end of the day there is more $$ in our pockets. Other than that he wants nothing to do with couponing.

  • hallie

Near the Pharmacy area of my store there are folded brochures with information about colds. In it are a bunch of coupons for cold related products. One is a Kleenex Shoprite coupons (.50 off two) and there is a $1 off Lysol. I was able to use the Kleenex on top of my mfg coupons and one flavor of the Lysol, Meadow I think, was on clearance with the little green tag for 2.19. This made the spray $1.19. As a teacher and mom of young kids, this is a stockpile price! Also, I had a cat for $4 off Sense and Spray Glade. One flavor was on clearance for $4.50. Not bad for 50 cents. Finally, on the display for the holiday glade items, there is a $3 off 3 coupon. I used it with one $1 off one for the oil candles and got the $4 cat. Will do the same the next few trips.

Thanks to all and best wishes for cheap shopping!

  • http://livingrichwithcoupons Becky

Cindy – I was the one a couple weeks back who didn’t get $70 of catalinas during my holiday cash shopping trip. I took your advice and contacted Catalina (I ultimately found email worked better), and today they came in the mail!! Too late for last week’s, but better than nothing! So thanks for the advice there.

    • Cindy

Awesome! I’m glad you got them and thanks for letting me know.

  • Nancy

I found specially marked Tastykake boxes with $8 worth of coupons inside. They had an Eagles football logo, family size (6 2-packs), with the words “over $8 in savings inside”. They were on peanut butter kandy kakes at the Union Mill, Mt Laurel store. Printed on the inside were the following qs: $1.50/1 Turkey Hill ice cream, free Papa Johns breadsticks wyb any large pizza at regular price and a$1/2 Pepsi Max 12 pks or 2 litres.

Also, as I left the store I saw a Pillsbury catalina advertising the $3 cat wyb 4.refrigerated products. It said it continued until the 18th, so maybe there is a glitch somewhere.

  • George

    Good Morning,

Well, we are over the 1/2 way mark in this Mini series, “Watch George use his Cat’s”

Had a big trip today, and must admit I had a crisis in the coupon and stockpile world. I wasn’t paying attention to my stockpile and actually had to buy products not on sale.
Seems my cats have been enjoying their 1/2 price Friskies cat food so much, (and me buying it at 1/2 price for the past 3 weeks at $1.39 per bag after coupons) That I failed to forecast the obvious, Yes, I ran out of Cat litter. I know its hard to believe, but its true. Buying Cat litter not on sale, say it isn’t so!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also needed to buy Mint extract for holiday cookies, and a container of Ecotrin.

    Todays trip,

    • Cindy

I had my popcorn ready for this one and you didn’t disappoint. :)

      • Nora

Heehee, I keep going back to this page, it’s spellbinding!

        • Cortney

I love your updates! I also shop in Rockaway and love when you say where something is…somedays i wonder around for what seems like hours and give up with never finding the items!
Better get there this week soon, before all the good deals are gone!
Happiest of holidays and thank you all for all you do!

  • steph

oh my gosh!! what a most amazing trip.
ok, here is some important info…i hope we can figure out how the following cats printed….
ok, today i bought glade and got my $4 cat. BUT i also got 2 more coupon cats.
1 for free minute maid orange juice and 1 for simply orange orange juice!!!!!!
    2 free things of juice!!!
ok, the only thing i can think, is welch’s has this new healthy start juice they are promoting, i had a free coupon for it. so i picked one up.
do you think that is what triggered it?
does anyone know what triggers these? i am wondering if it was the fact that i used a free juice coupon in the first place, or if it was the juice itself.
anyway, i bought the welch’s healthy start white grape, mango orange juice.
if i have time, i might go back and buy another to see what happens, but i don’t have any more free coupons.
so i got 3 free juices today, plus 2 free kerry gold dubliner cheese, (free coupons) plus 2 free breakstone sour creams!!! woohoo…and i used my cats from the past deals a few weeks ago, ok fyi—-i asked the girl how many we are allowed to use and she said she didn’t know but she was supposed to stop when the register beeped and wouldn’t allow anymore. i think it beeped after 4 coupons. but….this can be overided and more can be used….if you can get someone to override them for you…it is possible… ;)
anyway, it was a great trip….
My God shall supply all my needs….and
he uses His angels like Cindy and my fave checkout girl at my fave shoprite!
cindy, i sing your praises everywhere i go. when the older couple behind me saw how my bill reduced to almost nothing, they were like, what website are you using? i told them livingrichwithcoupons.com and i told them how much it has changed my life and blessed me. i am sure they will be checking in soon.
i am so truly thankful…..we would not be able to put food on our table or give christmas gifts to teachers or even our kids without this…..
    THANK YOU!!!!!
and thanks to everyone who posts. i hope this post helps someone and i hope some other people can get free juice….

    • Cindy

OMG Steph, you just made me cry. No, I mean really cry…not just saying it. That was just so sweet. But all I do is supply the tools here, the forum. You guys are the ones that can take them and use them to help yourself and others here each and every day. Which, for me, is my favorite part of LRWC :)

  • steph

aw thanks! but you are giving people the forum ….

also….do you have any insights about the free juice cat’s?

    • Cindy

No I have no clue but I’m really curious.

    • Liz

I got the free Minute Maid and Simply Orange coupons yesterday too – didn’t buy any Glade or any other juice. No idea why I got them! The coupons themselves don’t say why like they sometimes do. Very happy that both coupons are good until February too.

  • MillburnLaura

I need something to do with all my free sour cream! Recipes anyone? I made corn bread recipe last week with sour cream (free), frozen corn (free), and jiffy muffin mix.

    • Jennifer C.

Stroganoff is always a hit in my house, and that can use a fair bit of the sour cream depending on how much you make.

    • Gina

I’m going to use it with my free cream cheese to make cheesecake

      • http://livingrichwithcoupons Becky

chicken paprikash – chicken and sauteed onions with a tomato, sour cream and paprika sauce. cheap and yum

  • steph

mix sour cream, salsa, shredded cheese, and chicken til chicken is nicely coated
fill and wrap in tortillas top with sour cream and salsa mixture and shredded cheese.

  • anon

I did not get the catalina for the pop-tarts. Is it confirmed it prints out? Should I go back to shoprite to get the catalina?

  • George

    Good Afternoon All,

Time for a little meat and potatoes (Literally)

What I decided to do today was to use coupons for Free items and use the Cat’s on some Meat and Produce, I gave myself 1 rule, look specifically for items which are going up in price on Sunday.

I repeated yesterdays 1st transaction again, So I got 4@ Breakstone, 4@ Colgate toothbrushes, 4@ Colgate toothpaste, 4@ Ronzoni Quick Cook, 4@ Thai Kitchen, and 3@ Ronzoni Healthy choice, all great Food Bank items except for the sour cream. Exact breakdown is listed in yesterdays post.

    I added the following.

Potatoes 5lb bag ($2.50 next week)
    1 x $1.99 = $1.99 oop
S/R 80% Lean Ground Beef ($2.99 next week)
    1 x $1.99 x 2.99 lbs = $5.95 oop
Perdue Boneless chicken breast (Tyson $2.49 next week)
    1 x $1.99 x 3.14 lbs = $6.25 oop
Baby Bell Cheese (Mini Bells needed for my lunch)
    1 x $2.49 = $2.49 – .55 doubled – $1.10 = $1.39 oop

    27 Items Purchased
    Full Price $55.78
    Total Oop $16.58
    used 2@ $5.00 Holiday Cash Cat’s.
used 1@ 2.50 Holiday Cash Cat.
    used 1@ $4.00 Glade Cat.
    Total New Oop $ .08

    The cashier was stunned.

    Notes:
    Lots of Stuff found today.
Lindsay reclosable olives, If you look under the red removable top there is a peelie for .55 off which doubles, These where $2.39 so you could get them for $1.29
2 different peelies in the Frozen Fish case, This is the case by the seafood department in my store, both peelies found on Contessa which is made by Seapack.

Not to digress, but when you see Seapack coupons grab them, most do not know these coupons are for Contessa products, They frequently have $1.00 off coupons in the inserts and S/R frequently has them on sale at 1/2 price, The Tempura Shrimp and Butterfly Shrimp are awesome, They taste even better when you can get them for $2.49 after sale and coupon.

Back to the peelies, I found 1 on the shrimp for $1.00 off any 2 Hunts Ketchup, You do not need to purchase the seafood to use this peelie. The other was on a box of Popcorn Fish which was $1.00 off any Seapack item, The Seapack is not 1/2 price this week.

In the frozen food aisle I found a peelie for $1.00 off any Eggo real fruit pizza, I did not even know this product existed, Fruit Pizza??? This peelie also has the verbage I noticed yesterday “Not Valid unless removed by cashier.”

In the Dairy found a .40 off peelie on Hormel bacon, which states .40 off Hormel Black Label when you purchase any size/variety Pillsbury Grands biscuits. Says DND, but it is a 5 bar code.

Last but not least, sampled a drink of Cranberry Sierra Mist and received a coupon from the woman for $1.00 off of 3 two liter bottles. The soda was good and I was parched after all of these activities, They were making waffles in the dairy aisle with that batter that comes in a can, Smelled great, but I figured i better not press my luck, After all I was there paying 8 cents for groceries and already had a free drink, decided against stretching this into a Free breakfast.

    Until tomorrow

used a $1 coupon for Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup, which was on sale for $2.50.

I spoke to customer service before I started shopping about the cats. My favorite CSM said that she would override the limit for me. I used all 12 of my cats (45.00)in one trip. My bill was 151.00 and I paid 45.00!! I find it pays to stick to the same store and get to know the cashiers. If they know you are not a coupon fraud and see you every week, they will be more willing to take your coupons.

First and foremost, I must thank Cindy for her outstanding site, without all of the knowledge I gained from her, and from you, the other readers this would not have been possible I will also tell you that the woman works extremely hard, I have a whole new found respect for what she does and what it takes to put this site together. I just wrote a 7 day Mini Series on 1 page about 1 store, I could not even possibly imagine keeping track of a whole LRWC site.

I hope every one enjoyed reading the Mini Series as much as I enjoyed writing it. I had a lot of fun doing it, Couponing is fun, and can really be made into a hobby, I can think of very few hobbies that you save money, Most cost you lots of money.

To all of you and yours, have Safe, Healthy and Happy Holidays.

I do owe 1 apology to the woman in ShopRite that I knocked over the Cottenelle toliet paper display on, I did not catch your name, But I apologize again for cascading you, in an avalanche of 12 roll packs of Cottenelle.

    • Cindy

George, I thoroughly enjoyed your mini series! I enjoy your positive attitude and enjoyment that you get from your hobby. I enjoy your contribution here on LRWC. I thank you for it as well because it’s people, like you, that make this a great resource for all. And most of all, I do appreciate your kind words. It’s readers like you that give me inspiration to keep going on this crazy site I started as I see this as an awesome way to help so many.

When I had to cut my budget back after my husband lost his job (and with 2 kids in college), I was shocked at how much money I was spending at the grocery store. Absolutely shocked. When I was able to cut back $8000 in one year and free up all that money to use in other areas that needed it, I thought, wow, why aren’t more people doing this. And, so, LRWC was born because I felt like screaming from a mountain and telling anyone that would listen, DON’T PAY FULL PRICE! It’s crazy! You don’t have to. So, my mountain is LRWC, and people can hear me and can hear you and all the others that come on here every day. And, it’s a wonderful community of people who all don’t want to pay full price again and help each other. So, thank you for all you and everyone else on this site contributes on a daily basis. I enjoy it as much as everyone else.

    Hi Cindy,

I am new to couponing and I am so glad I found your website. I can now save on my grocery bills, I must say you are doing an excellent job!!

I was amazed when my cashier didn’t allow any of my coupons to be doubled (they were all under 99cents). I picked up couple of stuff as mentioned above and which can double. She said any coupons printed online can not be doubled despite they were all under 99cents. Is this true? I have also realised she never gave me a receipt and in a rush I forgot to ask for one. I would complain to the corporate if what she was saying was untrue.

      Hey Meg,
ShopRite stores are owned by different owners and have slightly different coupon policies. For instance, some restrict the number of like coupons to 4, some have no restrictions. Some, double only up to $1.00 and some will allow coupons of $0.99 to double. So, you would have to check with the manager of the store to find out the exact coupon policy for your store. But, I can tell you that I have not heard of them not allowing internet printed coupons to double. Did you just have internet printed coupons or did you have insert coupons as well?

It’s always best to speak with the manager to get clarification because as most of us know, sometimes a cashier may give you incorrect information.

If you want to mention the store you shop at, there maybe other readers that shop at that store that could give you their experience there.
