Thanks so much for all of these ideas! I can’t seem to find the Duncan Hines brownie coupon by using the Smart Source link. There is just one for “Amazing Glazes”.

Got to my ShopRite this morning at 9:30 am and they were already cleared out of the Ziploc and Lysol (at least the ones I wanted to buy). I will go back another time this week to get those Catalina deals. I did great with the other offers! Thanks to everyone on this site–your comments are so helpful! If I didn’t check this blog this morning, I wouldn’t have known that the brownie coupon reset. I was able to print a few more which made my deal so much better. Happy shopping everyone!

Reply

Ethel February 26, 2011 at 7:13 pm

Is the pg deal based on shelf price?

Reply

Cindy February 26, 2011 at 7:48 pm

Usually it is based on shelf price but P&G catalinas can be a pain sometimes.

Reply

ethel February 26, 2011 at 10:04 pm

thanks!

Reply

JJ February 26, 2011 at 7:17 pm

I checked my flyer about the PopTarts deal; the limit is 4 offers.
The limit 4 per variety refers to the Jumbo glazed donuts, on sale for $1.99.

Reply

Bree February 26, 2011 at 7:21 pm

I double checked too and you are right – it does say “4 offers.” So does that mean we can do the deal 4x … or we can only get 4 boxes max?

Michelle -

Yes you can do more than 1 catalina offer per transaction – last week I did 6 offers!

Reply

JJ February 26, 2011 at 7:30 pm

4 offers means you can do the 2/$3 a max of four times (per card?), so 8 boxes of PopTarts

Reply

Bree February 26, 2011 at 7:30 pm

OK just called 1-800-SHOPRITE

We can do the offer 4 times, meaning we can get 8 boxes total. After 8 boxes they will scan at full price. The reason they did not indictate “4 per variety” in this case is because Pop Tarts has over 20 varieties. If customers were allowed 4 per variety in this case, there’s a very good chance that they would be unable to keep shelves stocked – they’d get wiped out completely. I got that explanation when I asked why in this scenario they chose one particular phrasing over the other.

Reply

Michele February 26, 2011 at 9:58 pm

So, to clarify, I can do the SC Johnson offer twice in the same transaction? (buy 6 Ziploc bags and also 6 Saran Wraps and get double the catalinas?)

Reply

Bree February 26, 2011 at 10:13 pm

I don’t think so – it is 1 offer per manu. but you can do several cat deals per card. So basically, you can only do each deal once per card.

So for example you can do P&G, Kelloggs, and Con Agra all in one transaction – but you cannot do P&G twice. You will not get the second cat, unless you use another card.

I hope I didn’t confuse you more!

Reply

Michele February 26, 2011 at 10:20 pm

Got it! Thanks for clarifying.

Reply

Jodi March 2, 2011 at 11:56 pm

Last week I was able to get the deal from the same manufacturer twice by ringing up two separate sales. I bought my dd with me and had her push one cart while I pushed another. We were careful to put the deals separately into each cart and then put them up separately on the belt. I used the same price plus card for the 2nd order. When I payed for the second order the Catalina’s didn’t print out at first and I was worried, but then when I finished paying they all started printing out so I got the GM and the Pompeian Catalinas twice. I am assuming the same will be true this week. I already got 2 deals on Sunday and I will be going back at the end of the week. At my SR they say if a Catalina doesn’t print go to customer service with the receipt (sometimes you need the product(s) too if the receipt isn’t descriptive enough) and they will print them out for you. Hope that helps.

Reply

Fury February 26, 2011 at 11:54 pm

Would make sense, but the last lean cuisine deal was 4 per variety. They have WAY more varieties then pop tarts. Also the offer limit usually does not apply to your card and only to your transaction. Usually someone on here will test this within the first day or two and we will know. Knowledge is power =)

Reply

Ueen February 27, 2011 at 4:51 am

I hope you didn’t mean try buying the 6oz fisher boy with your q for 16oz, coz that doesn’t seem like a proper coupon use.

Reply

Jen February 27, 2011 at 11:29 am

Ueen, I agree. The whole thing about coupons is buying what the coupon is for. Trying to “win” a “steal” by not buying the correct product but a different one probably falls under the fraud concept of coupon usage. Don’t be the one that ruins it for the rest of us who do it legally!

Reply

Susan February 27, 2011 at 2:04 pm

Don’t worry, I’m not one of THOSE people! :)

I have another question. My deal this week got big (I’m so excited!hahaha)! Anyway, I thought I read “somewhere” that Shoprite limits the amount of total coupons per transaction to 40 coupons. Can anyone verify that? I will have to split my order otherwise. Thanks again! You are a very friendly, helpful group of people! Kudos to all of you!

Reply

michelle February 27, 2011 at 11:05 am

You can use more then 40 per transaction, in the end manger will just override it, no wories about splitting up your order!

Reply

Patti M February 27, 2011 at 11:07 am

Jil, I don’t see anything about that on the SR Q policy here on LRWC
http://www.livingrichwithcoupons.com/2010/01/shoprite-coupon-policy.html
Just to be safe I would ask at customer service. I usually chk with them first before shopping if I have anything questionable…don’t want an uh-oh moment at checkout! LOL!! In fact, I have two of the free Planters Flavor Grove Qs to use…I will ask if I can use them both in the same transaction before I go to ckout. Hope that helps!

Awesome, thanks Jamie. I hadn’t checked the website. There is no print limit! I am just concerned since there is no web addy on the Q…my SR is a stickler for having a web addy on the Q. Oh well, we’ll give it a go & see what happens! :)

Reply

Sherry February 28, 2011 at 1:28 pm

I tried it from the Santa Cruz site and it does work. The coupons are identical to each other. Do you think they will still work?

Reply

Jil February 28, 2011 at 2:06 pm

Sherry, my SR would consider it a copy if they are identical and refuse all but one. On these goofy PDF ones, I use one at a time but I am usually at SR at least twice in one week. I personally don’t make out well with them. Others do though so maybe you could run it by customer service at your store to be safe. Hope this helps!

Went to Shoprite today and did pretty well. However, my one set of coupons did not print and I didn’t realize it until I got home. I e-mailed Catalina marketing, but if I am not able to get the coupons than it did not make sense for me to buy the 6 boxes of Ziploc bags. I hope they are able to help!

Reply

Patti M February 27, 2011 at 12:11 pm

Danielle, you can bring your receipt and products to customer svc. This happened to me last week with the Dole cat and they printed them right at customer service for me. :)

Reply

Danielle February 27, 2011 at 12:56 pm

Can I even do this if I can’t get there until tomorrow? I have a household full of sick people and I can’t make another trip in town today.

Reply

Jen February 27, 2011 at 1:48 pm

I had a problem this morning with the ziploc in Larenceville. I bought 6 of the 20ct. gallon slider bags (pictured in the ad). I received the 2 $2 cats for buying 3 items but not the buy 6 get $12 cats. Plus the bags rang up for $2.69 instead of $2.50. Went to CS and was told I bought the wrong bags. Tried to argue this but CS did not budge. I was told the paper was wrong and the shelf tag was right. I returned for 3 25ct. double zipper storage quart and 3 24ct. double zipper freezer quart (all that was available in the quart size). CS guy thought this would work but it did not. Again the 2 $2 cats printed. In the end, CS “forced” the $12 cats to print but he wouldn’t give me the other 2 $2 cats saying he gave me the $12 cats instead. Still a good deal but was a bit of a hassle.

Reply

Patti M February 27, 2011 at 3:42 pm

I don’t see why not. If you’re concerned want to, maybe call them and tell explain your situation…ask the name of who you’re speaking with and ask if you can ask to speak with them when you return…that way they remember your situation. Just a thought. :)

Reply

Arizia February 27, 2011 at 9:37 pm

I had problems with my cats last week too… the printer had run out of ink and because the cashier pulled the cat (half coupon print) it wouldn’t print out the rest once paper was replaced. I went straight to CS and she wouldn’t/couldn’t understand. I went back in the morning 2 days later and they totally got it and helped me with a smile. I would try again with a different CS person. Best of luck!

Reply

Chana February 28, 2011 at 8:17 am

I also had problems with the ziploc catalina not printing. All of them rang up $2.69 and I paid very close detail to the ad. I owever did not realize this until coming home. I did get (2) $2.00 ziploc catalinas but I plan on returning the ziploc bags, unless they give me the catalinas.

Reply

Stefani February 28, 2011 at 12:16 pm

I believe there is a problem with offer 9B. Everyone is having trouble getting them. I bought 5 Glade carpet deodorizer and 1 Cling Wrap and didn’t get the cats. The stores should realize soon it’s systemwide issue. So I would take it back and get them to print or return the items if they won’t.

Reply

Fury February 28, 2011 at 7:57 pm

WARNING: the deal is only for the Freezer 15ct gallon/20ct quart or Storage 20ct gallon / 25ct Quart. The ziplocs that say bonus 20% extra bags have a diff UPC and are NOT INCLUDED. Be warned

Reply

Christine S. February 28, 2011 at 8:37 pm

That’s why mine didn’t print, I bought the 20% bonus box…ugh…I did get 2 $2 oyno cats. We go through sand. bags quickly, so I may keep them, it’s just a hassle to return 6 boxes.

Reply

Nancy March 2, 2011 at 12:44 am

I got 6 boxes with the 20% bonus today, and my $12 cats printed just fine.

Fury March 2, 2011 at 7:18 am

@ Nancy
I hope they changed it i wanted to pick up some more bags myself. The UPC’s for the bonus bags are still not listed in the full list PDF. Can anyone else confirm the cats are now printing with the bonus bags?

Lynn March 2, 2011 at 7:38 am

I got 6 boxes of Ziploc bags today, all were the “Bonus 20% more” boxes, and the cats printed just fine!

fury March 2, 2011 at 9:54 am

@lynn
Thanks, guess i need to head back for more then

loretta March 4, 2011 at 8:30 pm

I was told today, that the reason they didn’t print is I actually had to buy 12 of the ziploc bags because each 2/$5 set was considered 1 of the offer! I only haggled over it for a minute and gave up… wasnt worth the aggrevation, I emailed catalina about it. I probably won’t return them since we use alot of them but am annoyed, cause I’d of only gotten 2 and bought saran wrap for the rest

Just a heads up – last night went to shop rite to do one last dollar days deal – they were out of a few things that I needed to complete the deal. I went to customer service and they gave me a raincheck for everything I wanted and told me to keep a copy of the ad with the raincheck. To redeem it and get the $12 in cats, I have to go to customer service with the items and raincheck and they will ring me up and make sure I get the $12 in catalina coupons.

I go to the Canton CT Shoprite and last week they were out of the dole fruit crisps and Glad saran wrap. I went to customer service and they gave me a raincheck for the items and then took my name and shoprite number down and said to come to customer service next week when I buy the items.
Today I went bought the stuff and went to customer service. There was an envelope with my name and shoprite number with $24 CATs and two bag CATs!

FYI LRWC peeps:

Last week I did the Dole cat deal. Along with the 4 wks of cats an additional cat printed for “$.75 OYNO courtesy of Dole”. I used it today…and it DOUBLED! I didn’t know the cat Qs doubled too so I was pretty psyched! Just FYI if you received one too or were unaware of the cats doubling like I was. :)

I don’t know if any of you guys saw the small little “Try It Free” ad in the circular. It’s back by the H&B section. If you do the P&G deal and spend $25.00 (which was hard not to, I spent $31.00 and had tons of coupons. But needed those Swiffer refills to pile up :) … you get three products free OYNO. It’s for a dawn detergent, pantene shampoo and old spice body wash. Mine didn’t print but I was also missing a set of $3.00 CATs. I went to the customer service desk and they immediately printed out my set of CATs AND the coupons for the three free products. Not a bad deal, considering the P&G deal is one of the more costly ones!
Just a head’s up :)

If you are ever by the ShopRite in Laurel Springs (The one across from the Gloucester Twp Police Department NOT the one on Blackwood-Clementon Road) They are super coupon friendly! I think I have only had them reject 1 coupon since I have started couponing about a year ago and it was in the very beginning of my “couponing career” and well it didn’t have a bar code lol It was a total fake and I didn’t even realize! So if you don’t mind the 20 or so minute drive… they are AWESOME! and usually pretty well stocked.

JEssica g February 28, 2011 at 8:11 am

I used to go there… I thought ok this one is big and nice looking. Such a pain… the aisles seem suffocating and its always crowded. Instead I drive to the one across from the Gloucester Twp Police Dept. Nice, bright and even mid day isnt too crowded. I pick a lane, take my time and they are super helpful. Yest they even got me an extra cart at checkout cause I bought so much I couldnt unpack it and bag it with enuf room to get it back into the cart (the 5 poland spring and gallons of iced tea and milk ate up all my cart room!)

I’m new to all this but have found this site really helpful and it makes grocery shopping more fun. Being new and all, I have a question about this week’s deal for P&G (7b). I have tons of those b1g1 p&g coupons. Can I buy 3 swiffer refill pads, use 3 b1g1 q’s, and one other product from the offer and this would count as buying 7 p&g products? Or does it have to be 7 paid products before the qs?

Reply

Larrina February 27, 2011 at 10:35 pm

You just have to purchase 7 products…. before coupons. the amount you actually pay does not affect your CATS.

The $5/$50 coupon from the entertainment book is before coupons. Also want to tell everyone (or remind if Cindy has mentioned this program in the past) about the ShopRite Family Rewards program. There are so many different rewards programs and such, sometimes it is hard to keep track. SO my mom just told me about this one, it sounded familiar but I had never signed up. So I just signed up @ https://www.shoprite.com/family/FamilyHome.aspx
I am not sure what purchases accumulate points but in just a couple weeks I was able to accumulate $4 off my next purchase. This will really help for this weeks CAT deals. So if you are not aware of the program sign up/in to make this weeks deals even better!

Reply

Larrina February 27, 2011 at 10:55 pm

Not to ramble on about this but I just checked the Family rewards participating products link and it seems most of the products for this weeks dollar deals (except p&g) are included. Thesxe Items are marked in store with Shoprite Family tags (makes sense lol) and every dollar= a point. 100 points= $2 off your next order…. every hundred $2 more off your order. Also these are not like the ent coupons, they do not have a minimum purchase requirement. Sorry if Cindy has already went over all of this but just in case, plus hopefully this will help newcomers! HAPPY shopping everyone! ;)

The freaking catalina cavalcade continues!!!! (‘scuse my french)

So after reading some of the posts here last night I printed out some Santa Cruz juice Qs and wanted to go back to SR today to get them…and another Dr. O’s pizza. I realized on the way there that I’d left my $2 Ziploc cats on the counter at home so was a little annoyed with myself. Then, as it turns out, the juice is no longer $1.50 @ my SR. I was very grumpy now. So I picked up the Dr. O and decided to get a 2-pk of semolina bread. I go to check out…easy order, one Q for Dr. O. After my transaction……to my shock and amazement….another $12 worth of cats printed!!!! I think my eyes were popping out of my head!!! I tried to be calm but wanted to shout at the top of my lungs…woooooot! I was afraid the cashier would say “what are these for you have none of this stuff in your order?”. But she said nothing, handed me my cats. I can’t believe this happened and have no idea what it’s for but am super duper happy. Maybe this will happen for someone else too!

Lost 10 pounds via sweat breakout in shop rite today tried to do the hunts deal but screwed it up. I bought the 4 cans of pasta sauce and 11 cans of the smaller tomato sauce 4/2.00 apparently I bought the wrong ones. 2 of my Catalina’s didn’t print so off I went to customer service where they checked everything one by one….. We figured the Saran wrap also didn’t print! Definitely stressful. Ended up returning all the hunts which was a mess because they had to go get my coupons from the checkout lane…… And the line behind me grew longer and longer. Can’t go back there for a while! ended up with six of the deals.

Reply

Aileen C February 28, 2011 at 6:05 pm

Check the bar codes. If it is exactly the same, then it is considered the same coupon even if one is printed and one is from the newspaper.

Reply

andy February 28, 2011 at 8:32 pm

I continue where Aileen left off
…for doubling purposes, so the second set of 4 coupons won’t double. However they would most likely be considered different coupons for the purposes of limit 4 like coupons per transaction especially in a large order with other stuff and other coupons.

Reply

Aileen C February 28, 2011 at 9:22 pm

To me, same bar code = same coupon, no matter where it came from. I’m sure you could “get away” with it, but I wouldn’t do it.

Does anyone know whether the milk cat from last week can be used on any milk, or only gallon size? I like to buy organic milk. The half gallon is $3.49, which would satisfy the <$3.75 requirement, but it's not a "gallon". The gallon size is $4.99. They may understand and simply deduct $3.75, but I'm not ure. Just wondering if anyone tried it.

Reply

michelle March 1, 2011 at 9:49 pm

I used it for half gallon organic milk priced @4.19 the cashier deducted $3.75.

Reply

Cindy March 1, 2011 at 10:43 pm

The catalina says one gallon of milk so if you want to try it, I would stop by Customer Service and ask them if they would substitute. Since these are store coupons, they may be more willing to made exceptions.

Reply

michelle March 1, 2011 at 11:51 pm

Cindy, i asked before using it ~ i think the flyer says buy 3 cereal and get free milk up to one gallon but the cat says one gallon only. I think this is a YMMV situation.

Thanks,
Michelle

Reply

Bree March 2, 2011 at 8:09 am

I used it yesterday on a gallon of orangic whole milk priced at $4.99. The cashier took off $3.75, the full value of the coupon, making it a $1.24. I asked customer service before I bought it and they said since the coupon did not specify what kind of milk, you can use it on any gallon. If it exceeds the coupon value, you pay the difference.

Hope this helps :)

Reply

Jennifer C. March 2, 2011 at 12:41 pm

The Chefboyaree worked for me in the ConAgra deal…Pay careful attention to which varieties are included, though..the ad and the store hangtags only included the beef ravioli mini ravioli and beefaroni. I didn’t want to risk deviating from that!

Reply

Lori March 2, 2011 at 1:28 pm

So it is 4 per variety, which would be 12, so we would need another 3 to make 15…did those ring up at regular price?

Reply

Jennifer, did you buy the Chefboyardee in the CANS – the ones that are part of the 4 day sale for 88 cents? Or did you buy the 14.25 – 14.5 oz. micro bowls that are in the Conagra dollar day ad priced at 2/$3?

Only the UPCs for 5 of the micro bowls are listed on the PDF list of Conagra products listed for the dollar day sale, so I think what Lori and I are wondering is if anyone had luck buying the 88 cent cans as part of the dollar days catalina promo.

Reply

Jennifer C. March 2, 2011 at 7:38 pm

Sorry, I should have said I got the micro bowls. I prefer the cans, but didn’t want to take chances!

Reply

Lori March 3, 2011 at 10:37 am

OK, I bought a combo of cans AND micro bowls (.88) and it worked! I only bought exactly what they had signs for, even though I know not everything is always markd, but I did not want to chance it. Also, I think the bigger micro bowls are the ones listed under the dollar day deals (2 for $3) and not the smaller ones for 88 cents, so I was surprised it worked. I bought the mac and cheese (hope the kids like these) and mini ravioli in the micro bowls and then the lasagna and beefaroni in the cans. I wish I could do the deal again and try it with some of the others!

Has anyone come up with any deals for the Pop-Tarts??

Reply

Georgia March 2, 2011 at 11:53 am

Tried the Pop Tart deal today and no catalina popped out. I was told by customer service that it is ONLY the Kellogg’s cereals, but the other brands are any product. No go for me.

Cindy March 2, 2011 at 12:06 pm

Georgia, the pop tarts are on the list of products so if you didn’t get your catalina I would let them know that it is on the list. The list is long and includes a lot more then the Kellogg’s cereals. Here is the complete list of products.

I guess maybe my SR did not have them “programmed in” or whatever it is they do lol. Also, looking back, it’s also the cat machine at my register crapped out because it started blinking orange (I think) after my first set printed (Capri Sun/KoolAid).

Reply

Georgia March 2, 2011 at 12:46 pm

yeah, I tried. I had a LONG conversation where she said she called some manager or other and they said, the other brands listed are ANY, but, Kellogg’s is just cereal. Whatever. I am so annoyed. I called Catalina Marketing and they are mailing me my coupons. I could go back and fight with the manager again, but I’ll just wait to get the coupons in the mail. Less aggravation.

I printed the whole book to bring in the store, so i could look thru the items 1 by 1. 80% of the items or more do not have the green tag on them in the store. For example only one of the 25+? varieties of pop-tarts had the tag in the store. Hard to argue its not included if its on the list.

Reply

Bree March 2, 2011 at 2:55 pm

Oh wow … gosh darn it you guys are helpful! :)

IA, even though my store is great when it comes to sales, a lot of the stuff for DDs wasn’t marked. I think it might be just too many to tag.

Reply

Lori March 3, 2011 at 1:42 pm

Same here Fury. Only 1 variety had a tag about the Buy 8 products get $12 back. I checked with CS and yes they are definately included in the sale. I bought whichever varieties are labeled 2/$5, although they are $1.50 Wed-Sat. My cats printed no problems.

Reply

Donna M March 3, 2011 at 1:56 pm

Same at my store, the tag was only on lowfat unfrosted strawberry, I bought 4 dif kinds. No problems.

No luck at mine, I bought 8 pop tarts, they didn’t print and I went to CS tonight. They told me to call 1800 shoprite suggestions?

I went and got my 8 boxes of poptarts today and no cat :( Went to customer service and she said only what is pictured in the circular is what produces the catalinas (2nd time this happened this week in two different stores). Since I didn’t have the master list I didn’t argue. Still got the pop tarts for $1.00/box. Going to call catalina marketing now.

Reply

Kevin March 2, 2011 at 2:49 pm

I double checked this and there are even hang tags by the shelf where the pop tarts are that say they are included in the deal. I know we are more passionate about Shoprite, but i hate when we know more than Customer Service. Are they even required to read the ad before starting their shift?

Reply

Bree March 2, 2011 at 12:02 pm

OK, I did the Kellogg’s deal buying 8 boxes of PopTarts totaling $12. I used [2] $1/2 coupons bringing it down to $10. However, the Kellogg’s cats DID NOT print and I had to go to customer service for them to be printed. Just a heads up!

Reply

Bree March 2, 2011 at 12:29 pm

For anyone still looking to get the Santa Cruz organic lemonade make sure you scan it for a price check; at my store the sticker price said $2.49 but when I scanned it they were still $1.50.

Also, piggy-backing off of what Cindy said about the PopTarts, if you read the fine print in the circular the cat is NOT limited to just the cereal. What it says above the cereal is that those are just the “featured products” and that it’s good on ANY Keebler, Kellogg’s, Famous Amos, etc

I went to Shoprite (northern NJ) and got everything I wanted, got a male checker, thought all was going well…until….I was accused of either making up the coupons or getting them from a fraudulent site. The manager took all the coupons to check..vlassic, duncan hines, jello, and wise and said first that it was one per person, then that the coupons were not valid and wouldn’t take them.
I printed all these coupons out from the links listed under Shoprite from smartsource and verifi. Needless to say, I told him to take it all and that I wouldn’t be returning to the store.
Are everyone’s coupons working??? or are there any problems, or did I just go to the WRONG store. I want to try again at another store.

Do you mind telling us what store you went to? Lyndhurst is awesome with printable coupons if you don’t live too far :) Kearny on the other hand will give you a VERY hard time but that’s because they’ve gotten such a large amount of fraudulent ones

This happened to me to. I went to SR in Jersey City and I was accused of coping the coupons.I will never go there again. I have gone to SR’s in Monroe, NY, Lodi and Bayonne and they are all pretty nice.

Reply

Jil March 2, 2011 at 2:17 pm

I know for a fact that at SR around me (South Jersey) they only train the cashiers to check the offer # and the numbers under the barcode when they verify validity of the coupons. I was also accused of copying when trying to use SmartSource coupons which all have the same offer number and barcode number. It was later that I learned that they have a 3rd number on them, the pin number found right under the offer #. As far as the PDF coupons, I always have trouble with them because they are always identical. I only use one because I know they will consider them copies.

Kim March 3, 2011 at 1:35 pm

I am new to this coupon thing, so please forgive me for any dumb questions. I am curious what IS copying. I mean if I print the same coupon from coupon.com several times, can I use them all in one trip or is that copying?

Reply

Cindy March 3, 2011 at 1:51 pm

Kim, it’s not a dumb question at all. You can usually print coupons from coupons.com, smart source, red plum and most internet coupons 2 times per computer. If you have more then one computer in your home, you can print it 2 more times on another computer. Each coupon printed has a unique code.

What is not okay, is to actually take a printed coupon and copy it on your copy machine. You can not duplicate a printed coupon as that is considered coupon fraud.

Hope that answers your questions and if you don’t know, just ask. Everyone here was new to couponing at one time or another and everyone here is always happy to answer any questions.

They usually don’t give me to hard a time in the jersey city one, the one up in north bergen is so much nicer though! it’s a pain dealing with the 32nd street traffic sometimes, but if u go first thing in the morning it’s not bad at all. I go every saturday, I usually get to shoprite mid morning like 10ish depending how stocked the rite aids are. The front end manager that’s there on saturday mornings (Margaret) is amazing! if there’s any trouble with the coupons, she just goes and checks their book I <3 her she's very sweet! I was starting to get frustrated when going to the hoboken store that SR in hoboken for me so far has been the worst! the front end manager is a total Witch, I only go there for meats now once in a while. if i really don't like what i see elsewhere, The meat section down there is much cleaner looking. They also tend to run out of all the big sale items quickly

MULTIPLE SAME OFFERS: Has anyone had any luck at any locations getting the same multiple offers on the same shopping trip doing seperate transactions? Myself and others last week were lucky in still getting all the cats to print out using one. I did mine all in one trip using one PPC. I want to go Friday morning and try the same scenario with multiple same offers.- Thnx.

I tried this morning and it only printed a blurb about thanking me for buying the products and the Dollar Deals are limited to one offer per manufacturer and I already did the deal. Oh well, at least I did the pudding deal so I still got a $3.00 catalina.

Reply

Crystal March 3, 2011 at 9:01 pm

Maybe this question has been asked before and I apologize in advance…but do you have to buy the complete offer in one transaction? I tried to do the Kraft deal this evening and I messed up! I’m so mad at myself for not paying attention to the register but I noticed at the end that I only got one set of cats. Turns out of the 5 items I bought, 1 of the crystal lights was the wrong one!! JUST ONE! Grrr. I went to customer svc and they were not very helpful. He wouldn’t let me return/exchange the one item for the correct one and I just didn’t return that whole order since I used coupons for every item and I don’t have anymore to try and repurchase. So basically I’m asking, can I go back tomorrow, to buy that one crystal light that’s part of the dollar day deals and still get my cats?

Reply

Cindy March 3, 2011 at 9:15 pm

Crystal, they have to be purchased in one transaction. If they were nice, they would let you just exchange the one and then issue you the catalinas. However, it appears that will not work at your store so the only thing to do is to return everything and start again.

Reply

Crystal March 3, 2011 at 9:29 pm

*BIG SIGH* Thanks for the reply! I wish I could return and repurchase, but I’m all out of Jello and Crystal Light q’s so everything still came out pretty cheap. I wish I could try customer svc at another time and hope for a different person but it seems like no matter what time/day I go, that guy is always there. Oh well, I just need to read the tags a bit better.

And if anyone is wondering, the not so helpful Shoprite cust svc is JC/metro plaza.

Crystal…I feel your pain. I believe all the eligible items must all be bought in one transaction. Do you have another SR nearby…maybe try returning the original items there or try your SR at a different time when someone more helpful may be at cust svc.

Patti M March 3, 2011 at 9:16 pm

Reply

David March 3, 2011 at 9:27 pm

Crystal- don’t know if this makes you feel better, but when i return something back to SR, they always give me back the actual sale or shelf price, no matter what coupons I used. For example if I purchased an item for $3 and had a $1 off coupon, I would only pay $2. If I decided to return that $3 item, I always get back the $3, not the $2 I paid. So basically you are getting your coupon back in cash, which then you can always go back and purchase another $3 item and use the $3 credit you received even though you originally paid $2……..did i confuse you enough.

S at least in my shoprites here in cumberland county I always get back any coupons back in cash for amy returns i make……..sorry for the typos….typing w/one hand and feeding the baby w/the other…just wanted to see if this helps u. :)

Crystal March 3, 2011 at 9:33 pm

My SR doesn’t do that. At least, that’s been my experience. I attempted to return something once before that I purchased with a Q and they wanted to refund me the final price. That one experience never wants me to try and attempt a return there again. I wish I had other SR options but I don’t drive and I’m happy enough to have one that’s walking distance. Thanks for the advice though!

Reply

David March 3, 2011 at 9:41 pm

don’t understand that b/c the coupon you originally used is in their system and they are going to turn it into the manufacturer and get their money. If they only give you the final price, then they should return the coupon back to you. However i think this would have to be done right after you made the purchase and went straight to cs. That way they can pull the coupons from the little envelope the cashier that rung you up. However if they give u back the original cost, not final, they are still getting the value of the coupon from the manufacturer.

Crystal March 3, 2011 at 10:10 pm

David, I understand what you’re saying, and that time I wanted to return I did in fact go to cs right after my purchase and reviewing the receipt in-store (stalking this site has taught me that :) ), but like I’ve said, they’re not the most helpful or accommodating location. I’m learning the “quirks” of the store and figuring out what benefits me (like which cashier won’t give me a hard time about coupons, and shopping on a weekday is a thousand times better than a weekend for all sorts of reasons). Some things are just not worth the hassle in my store.

Thanks for all your help!

I understand, it’s easier for me to hit one of the three in the morning right after I drop off one of my sons at school. It’s usually empty and I can take my time. Weekends here are a killer. With a 4 month old and two year old doing the shopping trip with me, I usually stand my ground with the cashier (so far no trouble w/the higher ups) since I don’t want to make another trip else where or to return anything at another time. Good luck though.

On a brighter note, the only one I worry about is one store, where ( no offense to anyone reading this) is usually busy with seniors. They are either trying to run me over in the isles with me and my two or they leave their carts right smack in the middle of the isle so I can’t get around them. :)

Tara…mine wouldn’t scan today either but the manager told the cashier to over-ride it. Are you referring to the $1 one from the Farmland website? My SR is a stickler for the web address being on the Q so I think that’s why he put it through. I’ve never heard that “9″ thing before…hmmmmm.

just got back from the Shoprite in Bayville, what a mess. I wanted to do the ziploc deal but the shelf signs were only on 2 kinds of bags for $2.50 the rest of the bags had regular price and the catalina sign . I checked my circular and took up 6 boxes that were included in the deal according to the circular and ofcourse only 2 of the 6 rung up on sale. I showed the cashier and she called over the supervisor who then said they were not part of the deal, i pointed out that they were in the flyer and even in the picture, she then said it was a limit of 3 thats why, i then corrected her and said 3 offers, she then said they were just not on sale and I said that was not good enough for me so she went to the manager and then came back and over rode it with her key. I was very HAPPY. all the catalinas printed! $12 and two $2. I will be going back 2maro to try the other deals and I am taking the dollar days list I printed so that i can dispute everything! Thank You Cindy for all your hard work and for giving us all the info we need to get these amazing deals.

Another Coupon for the Kraft Dollar Day Deal –
Planters Flavors Grove Nuts (Must Buy 2) – $2.00 I found a 1.00 off/1 package coupon on a special display for Planters Flavor Grove. Bree, thanks for posting! I saw this just in time before I ran out to SR this AM. AWESOME…even the girls at the register were excited! LOL!

At my store there were no shelf tags indicating the sale. Were these in the circular this past week? I don’t remember and I’ve already put it into recycling. If not, do you mind if I ask how you knew they were $.99?

Thanks, again!

I just picked up a few for free too. At my SR the Almond and Milk Chocolate were both 0.99 cents; the others were $1.99 and $2.49 I believe. It really is good chocolate. :)

My friend went this morning and then told me about it; the bars WERE tagged at our SR and being that they were right by the PopTarts I can’t believe I missed it. So score 1 for her lol! Had they not been tagged neither of us would’ve known unless someone else posted. Yay for free chocolate lol!
