if someone tries to checkout tomorrow using the self-check out, can you please report if your 1st 10 coupons automatically triple or if you need a cashier to manually make them triple? i’d like to use self-check out but am afraid the coupons won’t automatically triple. thanks!

My store was not allowing the sale to happen until 6:00am this morning. I did go through the self check out. The coupons automatically tripled. I went in to the store 3 separate times. The 3rd time the customer service lady told me that the club card will only allow 10 coupons daily. The trick was to have multiple club cards. And you are still limited to 4 coupons per product. Have Fun.

Has anyone confirmed that you can use the zavers with the manufacturer coupons? On the Zavers website it says that if it says “only one item per coupon” you can’t use it. I would love to kow the answer before I head out to Pathmark at 6am! lol I’ll be up for Royal Wedding anyway…..might as well get the first run done before work.

Reply

Mia April 29, 2011 at 2:07 pm

Yup, you can use zavers with manufacturer’s coupons! Got some free scrubbing bubbles and glade spray that way today =)

What about the Ellios Pizza? On sale for 2.99 with coupon for $1/2. Price would be $ 5.98 for 2 less 2.99 = 2.99 for 2 boxes.

where did you get an Ellio’s coupon from, I have never seen those and would love to get them!

I don’t remember for sure. I am going to say it was RedPlum circular. I have 7 coupons and I only recently started getting 2 papers so it had to be in more than once. I do get RP insert in mail also. expires 6/30/11

Reply

It was a recent SS circular. Can’t remember which one.

Just spoke with 2 store managers at my 24 hr Pathmark and they were adamant that the triple coupons will start at midnight. And even assured me if there was any problem with the register, there cashiers are fully aware how to over- ride it and that all the staff knows it is in effect starting at midnight. I am going to go there at 11pm and shop and then go to checkout at exactly 12 midnight.

Reply

Momof1 April 29, 2011 at 1:08 am

Decided to go tonight….all the sales are ringing up along with the triple coupons with no issues (Franklin Square, NY). Anything that is over the value is adjusted by the register automatically so there won’t be any overages. Just saved $52.16 and spend 13.42 out of pocket!! I am going to LOVE this weekend!!!!!

Reply

DianeG April 29, 2011 at 1:09 am

Thanks Anthony – I knew someone would check that. {{{smile}}} So much for us early birds! My (now closed) Pathmark used to close off the HABA section after a certain hour. Do they still close sections of the stores that stay open late or at 24hr stores?

Reply

Stephanie April 29, 2011 at 3:24 am

Mine does the same and it’s one of the 24 hour stores.

Reply

Yolanda April 29, 2011 at 1:38 am

Since it says 10 coupons per order per day doesnt it mean that you can do multiple orders(transactions).

Reply

darryl April 29, 2011 at 2:41 am

do they automatically triple coupons or do you need a store coupon that says triple coupon?

Reply

Stephanie April 29, 2011 at 2:42 am

I went to a 24 hour Pathmark and the deals went through just fine

Reply

Michelle April 29, 2011 at 7:27 am

Went this morning at 6:30 a.m and they only had one cashier open and the self check is monitored by a cashier. Only did the one transaction. Will have to go when it gets more busy and there is more than 1 cashier.

I too am wondering if anyone has been able to use more than 10 coupons with the one card??????

Reply

Barb April 29, 2011 at 9:46 pm

At my Pathmark they counted each and every coupon. I had two for Skim Plus milk. This 1st one went through and then the casier had a problem with the other. The store manager came over and told me that “you are only allowed 1 internet coupon per item”. I politely told him that I believe we are allowed 2. He acted upset but gave it to me anyway!

Reply

Stephanie April 29, 2011 at 10:13 pm

I did, by mistake. I went with my mom, and I didn’t realize that she and I have two cards under the same account. All of our coupons went through w/o a problem, and I even saw a lady with some paid items in bags getting back in line for another transaction. This was at Hackensack, NJ.

Reply

Tom April 29, 2011 at 10:08 am

I went this morning. Between my girlfriend and I, we took the last 5 Best Life margarine at the Edison PM. Together we got 21 items for $9.73, which is 46 cents per item! If you have any $1 off Coke coupons from RecycleBank, pair them up with the coke sale 4/$9.99. Get 4 Coke 12 packs for 99 cents + tax!

Reply

Aimee April 29, 2011 at 10:13 am

I was able to go at 1:00 AM and my husband went right after me (we used 2 different cards) We came out with 1lb. Perdue Chicken, 3 Kraft Homestyle mac & cheese, 4 old spice deoderant, 4 Herbal essence shampoo, 2 Dawn dish soap, 3 Ritz Crackerfuls, 1 Fudge covered oreos, and 2 packs kraft big slices cheese for $6.79 Total! Also I had some zavers coupons saved to our account and none of them worked :( This was at the Toms River Pathmark.

For anyone who is wondering…..there was no overage

Reply

Mary April 29, 2011 at 2:15 pm

I also went to the Toms River Pathmark and Zavers didn’t work for me either, ugh! I hope theres still some Kraft Homestyle mac n cheese left :)

I’m about to try in a little bit, if I can do multiples transactions on my one card. I’ve already used 10 coupons, would like to see if I can use more. I think I’ll go to the self-checkout.

Reply

Ann-Marie April 29, 2011 at 12:49 pm

According to the Pathmark Facebook page, coupons after the 10 triples will ring up as face value only.

I did 2 orders on the same card, one sco one human. All tripled, even better my zavers for always pads also got tripled. So I got $6 off $3.59.

I had 2 cards, but the cashier used the same card twice, so it works: 1 cqrd, 2 transactions, same day same store

Reply

Nina April 29, 2011 at 12:05 pm

Can someone help me out. The Zavers website is not showing me any of the coupons listed here…is it a regional thing?

Reply

Vanessa April 29, 2011 at 12:09 pm

Has anyone found out if there is overage…does it apply to the rest of the groceries? Thanks!

Reply

Ann-Marie April 29, 2011 at 12:51 pm

According to the Pathmark Facebook Page, if the value of the triple coupon exceeds the price of the item, the value will be adjusted down so that you will get the item free. There will be no overage.

Hi everyone, so here’s what’s been going on. Last night at like 1am I went to a location in LI, the coupons weren’t tripling so the cashier did it herself. After two transactions, she decided to reboot the system and then it worked! I did 5 more transactions of 10, until she caught on and said she can get in trouble, so my husband and I went home with over 70 products for less than $60! Today, I went to Pathmark and Waldbaums and did two transactions at each one (on my own), one with a cashier, the other at the self checkout. So really, you can use your PC all day and it doesn’t matter, unless the cashiers say something. Also, I noticed that the ezavers on work once, but I can’t complain. Total savings so far: $304 and paid less than $100 for 100 products. They are having really good sales as well that don’t require coupons, so take advantage of those ;) Now getting ready with my husband to do more shopping!!! This is by far the BEST place for any advice. Thanks Cindi for being so great! This is my first couponing experience and from the looks of it, not my last!

I went to the Edison Pathmark today @ 10:00am. I was able to do 2 different transactions. If anyone wants to add this to their deals it’s a MONEY MAKER!! I bought 2 boxes of 50ct SPLENDA and they were $3.19 each. I still had the $1.00 off coupon from a few weeks ago. After the $3.00 off each they were $.19 Cents each with is $.38 cents total. I got the CATALINA for SPLENDA because I bought 2 for $3.00 OFF MY NEXT ORDER!! Also FANCY FEAST DRY CAT FOOD is $2.89. I still had $1.00 off any size from February (Expires 4/30) so that was FREE also!!

Hey – took a lunch hour trip over to Pathmark – it didn’t count any of my zsavers into the purchase prices – i loaded them all last night – nothing came off – my total oop was like $4.00 more than I expected (still not bad though)

I tried Always Thin Pads , Tampax (not pearl) Tide Stain Release, Gilette Fusion Gel, & Glade Premium Room Spray… but Triples worked just fine – and I quickly snooped for other items to buy tomorrow and my store is fully stocked!!!

I did but with three different PAC printouts (1 in my name, 1 in my husband’s name and 1 in my MIL’s name) – 3 transactions lined up on the belt and no questions. It was only me and my husband there. Didn’t do as well as I thought I would. Need to plan a little better for the next round, especially since I live a 1/2 hour away!

Waldbaums is also doing the 3-day triples. The zaver coupons came off of my waldbaums transaction. At Pathmark I was supposed to get .75 cents off for cheerios but that didn’t come off. The last couple of times I shopped at Pathmark I had to contact zavers and they sent me checks after they verified my purchases. They said there was a communication problem between the pathmark store I shopped in and zavers. I guess there is still a problem and I will contact them again.

All together we got 50 items total was 105.88, after triple coupons our total was $27, so a little more then $.50 a item :) !!!

I used three different cards at two different stores – each time all my ten coupons tripled.

Hamburger Helper was also on sale 10 for $10 – if you have the $.75 coupon you get three boxes for $.75 ($3.00 for 3 boxes – $2.25 tripled coupon) – CAREFUL though cause only certain flavors are $1.00.

Also got 12 bags of croutons for free -Texas Toast – $1.00 off any 2 triples to $3.00 they were $1.25 each and Ronzoni Quick Cook pasta- was on sale for $0.88 had $1.00 off any 2 – free free free :)

And can’t wait til Sunday to get up bright and early for new coups!

Went to Hazlet Pathmark and I put up my 10 coupons for my transaction then my husband went to put up 10 more in a separate transaction and cashier wouldn’t let us. She said only 10 triple coupons per cart. Never heard of such a thing. Has anyone else?

Reply

I used self check out at hazlet and that is where I got my overage. Me and my hubby used one cart today at another path mark and no problems though. If you go back, do self checkout :)

i have a question—-if i have 10 coupons for tripling, and 2 coupons for free items- that are excepted at face value anyway can i use 12 coups for 1 transaction? suburbanite mag had a tostitos coupon for 1 off and they are on sale 2 for $5, so it would be free, and then there are 2 other coupons that say free pepsi with purchase of a bag of tostitos, so they have to be used together.

Reply

You can use as many coupons as you want in a transaction, they just won’t triple anything over ten. Just make sure that you either hand over everything you want tripled first, or plan your deal so that your extra coupons are ones that wouldn’t triple anyway — free items, BOGO, coupons with a face value over $1, etc.

It seems that each individual store is enforcing or not enforcing that rule of 1 transaction per day.

With that said, I’d like to see if we can limit the conversation to just the deals you guys are finding instead of how many transactions are being done in a day. This way we are not encouraging those whose stores do not allow more then one transaction a day.

And I also want to say that you guys are rocking it with these deals. I am enjoying seeing everything you have all been able to get. Keep them coming. :)

my zavers coupons haven’t been scanning. I had zaver coupons for secret and the herbal essence deal, but it didn’t come off. The same happened last week with cheerios and chex.

also, the employee told me that I couldn’t use printed coupons for tripling, although 2 people I spoke to beforehand about tripling didn’t say anything about. I spoke to the manager and he gave it to me.

I had more than 10 coupons, and I asked the employee if I could split the transaction and it worked.

Just wanted to mention that there are $1 Marzetti printables (for dressing and yogurt dip) here:

http://www.marzetti.com/special-offers/

I know this makes the dressing free, not sure what the price is for yogurt dip.

I found two more free deals-
V8 Fustion Tea is on sake for 2.99, get a 1$ coupon on their website.
Ronzoni pasta is always easy to get cheap, but if you go to the website you can print $1/2 coupons, the quick cook are free and the others end up being 10-15 cents a box.

I also want to say how fun the triple sale has been. I always shop at the Edgewater Park Pathmark and I have never seen anyone else with a coupon book until Yesterday. It was nice to meet up with other coupns, and see people help non-couponers score free things by sharing coupons. Also… I might regret saying this because I am sure some crazy coupons will storm my store, but I got OVERAGE! I did my first check out which should have been 2-3$ and it was .64 cents after tax. The second transaction should have been aybe a dollar, and they spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to fix the transaction because I should have made money. That order they didn’t give me a recipet for though.

Felicia, When did you go to the Edwater Park store? I had a terrible experience there today..Alot of items I wanted were sold out and there was a very nast Pathmark worker, who was not nice! I had more than 1 card, but she would not let me do more than 1 transation. She said it was corporate policy.

I may try the Pathmark in FAirless Hills tomorrow…I did however get 29.00 worth of groceries for $6.00.

Just wanted to let you know that the Hillshire Farms lunchmeat are priced at my store for $4.46. With the $1/1 coupon it comes out to $1.46 a pack, or $2.92 for 2 which is equal to a pound. Its not free but i think $2.92 for a pound of pastrami or roast beef is a great price.

This morning I went to do my 2nd trip, and just about everything that I had a coupon for was sold out. I left with the last 4 boxes of splenda (for free and (2) $3 cats back). Everything else was gone. Off the top of my head, they were out of McCain Potatoes, Tampax 20ct, Kraft Homestyle, Eggo Fiber waffles. Basically, if there was a coupon making the item free, it was gone. :(

This was my first time planning a trip around coupons. I’ve read so much and got my coupons together. I made my list, clipped my coupons and added my zavers.com coupons to my card.

2 transactions
First totaled 58.02 and paid 6.07
Second totaled 25.21 and paid 2.98
Together I paid $9.05
89% savings!!!!!!!!

I just came back from the Atlantic Ave (Ozone Park) Pathmark in NYC and they had $1 off 3 Pepso products on the sodas.
The pepsi products were on sale for $1.49. I got them all for 50 c each!

I spend $14 today and my total would have been $43.98

Looking at the receipt they jipped me at least $2. :( As usual!

I’ve been stocking up my pantry with awesome deals this weekend (and a nice shout out to my little bro lending me his card;) but the customer service lady at my Pathmark, Ridely, PA said that next weekend they will be doing a doubles event for coupons up to and including $2!

Didn’t try the self-checkout but confirmed at customer service that they won’t be tripling the internet coupons. Which Pathmark in LI did you go to? I’m actually near LI so could take the trip if it is not too far in.

None of my zavers came off on anything either myself or any of my family purchased. When I asked about it the manager said it wasn’t their issue that they had nothing to do with the pathmark website and couldn’t do anything about it.

Specifically, the Lays chips w the free Sierra Mist cost us each $1.89 for the soda. Never would I pay that. So returning that an several other items we will. Just wish the zavers could be reliable. They seem to only come off once in a blue. Such a pain.

At the pathmark in Philly (near Franklin Mills) they had Oscar Mayer Turkey Selects hot dogs for $2.89, Free after $1 off coupon. Also, Pam professional cooking spray was marked 50% off of $4.19 and after $1/2 coupon $1.19 for 2. At the Fallsington location they had barilla veggie pasta sauce 50% off of $2.99. In this week’s SS coupons there is a coupon for $1 off when you buy barilla sauce and pasta. So $1.50 for the sauce and the pasta was on sale for $1.55 after the tripled coupon $.05 for both. At both all of the other posted “free” items were already gone by yesterday afternoon — Degree Deodorant and the Eggo Fiber Plus Waffles so I had to search around :) It’s been a fun weekend! I can’t wait for doubled $2 coupons next weekend if that comes true :)

When all was said and done, I paid ZERO out of pocket (actually, it came to
-$.04 but the lady tweaked something to make it come out an even zero – she forgot to put in the amount of the item for the coupons that had a higher value than the item itself which means I got a little overage. Yay!) Here is what I scored:

(6) Texas Toast Croutons – $1/2 q
(2) Post Select Almond Cranberry cereals $1 q
(1) Smart Balance Milk – $1 q
(4) McCains Potatoes – $1 q
(1) Smart Balance Buttery Sticks – $1 q
(1) Dole Real Fruit Bites – $1 q
(2) Mission Flour Tortillas – $1 q
(1) Kraft Big Slice Cheese – $1 q
(1) Sargento Cheese Slices – $1 q
(1) Perdue Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast (managers special) – $.75 q
(1) Reach Kids toothbrush – $1 q

This was SO much fun. I can’t wait to go back tomorrow! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

My pathmark had NOTHING in my tops lists-i had to use the backup lists- but still scored free items-

all of my trips combined totalled $252.45
out of pocket I spent-$15.58
so I received 236.87 of free groceries :)

one problem I did have was buying edge shave gel instead of gillette, that costed my trip around $6…and my 4post great grains cereals did not print catalinas :(

I went to my Pathmark store in Edgewater Park, NJ. I had more than 1 PAC card and was told by a very nasty Pathmark worker that it was a limit of 10 coupons per transaction per family. It did not matter how many cards I had and they would not allow me to do more than 1 transaction. I tried to do the self check out, but that same nasty worker made sure I went to a regular checkout and even though she was not my cashier She watched my transaction. I could have paid for my full order, but it would have cost me regular retail.

Question-
I have a question- If I have a coupon- say for 1 dollar off propel water. And the propel is only 1 dollar… can I buy 3 propels and use the one coupon (and tripple it) so it ends up being free????

Reply

anna May 1, 2011 at 12:43 pm

Usually no. Coupon will say, 1 per purchase. Meaning 1 coupen per 1 item.

Reply

elle May 1, 2011 at 1:54 pm

No, it will only triple up to the value. Since your already getting the propel for free, it wont triple at all.

Reply

TM May 1, 2011 at 7:23 pm

I will admit, i did try, Val!

And it didnt work. Also, the Pathmark agent there was very rude and informed me that only 4 coupons for the same item could be used. Ugh. Utter and complete dismay, but happy nonetheless to have done all of my shopping between Friday and Saturday. This morning was just a “run for a game”.

anna May 1, 2011 at 12:40 pm

Overall Retail $346 , spent $25 – VERY happy – but NOT happy about a rude customer service person – two of my coupons (out of the 15 transactions I did this weekend) did not triple. I went over very nicely and told the woman at customer service, she snipped at me and said “The coupon probably said do not double or triple so it wont work’. I than proceeded to show her the front of the ad that clearly states that it will – she gave me ATTITUDE, I asked to speak to the store manager who than set her striaght and gave me my money back . . . and I also threw in that my husband is a manager at the Bergenfield store – and I know how this works lol :D PS – HEARING , but not 100 percent that next week they may be doubling coups up to $2.50 – WOAH lol :D
