Thank you for sharing! I love it! I just started this week and I am very excited to cut my grocery bill..I don’t feel like I need to be extreme but I think a stockpile for a few months would be great for my family.

  • Jena

Yes ! Yay I am about the same I have about 3 months worth of supplies, except the toothpaste and deodorant…..lol……but the same thing, my sister, mom and now my son shop in my stock pile. I just ask they pay me what I paid for it and also if I need a certain coupon printed they print it for me. My mom gets coupons from her coworkers and gives them to me too! Glad to see it has not taken over YOU HOUSE!!!!!!!! ;-)

    *YOUR*

Oh my goodness your dog is SO ADORABLE!!! =] I wish I could stockpile, but there just isn’t any room in our house for it and we only have a tiny freezer so it makes things difficult… but I do have like 3 months supply of certain things and I put them where I can find room. Thanks for posting this!

Thank you for sharing your stockpile video with all of us. I am like you, I don’t have a year’s supply of anything (other than deodorant & toothpaste, which I often giveaway) and I try to keep about a 2 month supply of everything else on hand. With two growing toddlers, that looks a bit different than your stockpile, but the same idea.

    BOGO is so cute!!

    Hi,
Thanks so much for showing your stockpile. It’s nice to see one that is a reasonable size. When I see stockpiles that encompass an entire garage and could sustain the family for years, I just don’t understand it. It seems to border on hoarding and I can’t help but wonder how much of that food will actually be used before it is no longer edible. Or I wonder why it is not being donated to a food bank while it can be eaten. So thank you so much for an example that in my opinion, makes sense. Love your website! thanks for helping me save money!

Thanks for sharing your stockpile. It is very reasonable and it makes sense. I just don’t get these people who fill their entire garage or basement with stuff.

BOGO, what a cute name for a cute dog!!

  • Patti M

Great to see how you do it, Cindy! Most of my stockpile is in my car trunk!! LOL!!

    PS…cute shoes!

    • Cindy

Thanks…Gap, 40% off sale. Paid $6 for them. Woot!! :)

  • Dee

BOGO is tooo cute!!! and so well behaved : )

What I really like about your stockpile is that (1) it’s very organized and neat and (2) it looks very manageable. Thanks for sharing.

  • Emily

Thank u for posting a NORMAL stockpile! It’s so great to see a normal looking one, instead of the ridiculous ones on Extreme Couponing! You are such a great teacher/inspiration. I wish I had a garage or extra storage room to have something done with the shelves like that!!I have a walk in pantry, but nowhere for nice shelves like that.

  • Cindy V

Love that you don’t get carried away! I did expect it to be a bit larger since I know you are a family of 5 right? But it sounds like you are headed that way lol :) Also, do you stockpile pet supplies/food?

  • Nadine

Thanks for sharing, Cindy. Your stockpile looks completely reasonable, and I like that! BOGO is adorable!

  • jorasmom

Once again, you lead the way in showing how NORMAL couponing activities derived from a REASONABLE amount of effort results in a stockpile that is a great size for nearly anyone’s needs – no crazy, giant rooms with floor-to-ceiling shelves stocked with more than an a average family could use in a lifetime. Thanks! :-)

  • Andrea

Thanks for sharing!! Bogo is the cutest! What type of dog is he?

    • Cindy

I was told he was a poodle but we are starting to think he is actually a mix.

  • Anita

Love those shoes Cindy. Real cute!

  • Alicia P

Love your stockpile & your dog….people come over and leave my house with a box of cereal!! :) LOL

  • Bree

Sorry Cindy, but BOGO did steal the show ;) He’s so darn cute!

As someone else mentioned, I think it’s great that your stockpile is reasonable and that you aren’t keeping BBQ sauce under your bed (despite the free Kraft sauce that we got not too long ago lol). When my family eventually owns our own home, which I hope will be soon, I plan on doing exactly what you have done – setting aside my own little nook, if you will, for my stockpile. I certainly do not want it taking over my home and really don’t need a lifetime’s supply of condiments either lol. I think having a stockpile to last your family up to 6 months or so is just perfect. Now you do have an extra freezer as well right? Also, just because I don’t have the room for shelves thus have no idea of the cost, are they expensive? Did you get them from a store like Home Depot?

    Thanks for sharing!

    • Cindy

He is cute, thanks. We love him even though he keeps grabbing coupons off my desk and chewing on them.

Yes I have an extra freezer that is packed. Its a chest freezer and I hate it. Definitely should have gotten an upright. And, I also have an extra frig and the freezer in that is packed as well.

Those shelves were cheap at Home Depot. They were $24.99 each but only stacked to 4 shelves high. I stacked them one more so I bought 5 packs to make 4 shelves, 5 high.

  • Rachel F

Thanks for sharing. That stockpile would last my family of 3 about 6 months. I don’t have a dedicated room for stockpiling so I just keep a few extras here and there.

  • Carrie

Thanks for sharing! I just started couponing a few weeks ago and find your website VERY helpful (both for us beginners and also to keep us up to date on the various deals). THANKS!!

  • Gina

Thank you for sharing & showing us how normal people stockpile.
