  • Jen W

I’m so excited! I finally found the Reach Crystal toothbrushes in my store today! I will grab 4 of them up tomorrow for the troops!

Thanks for all you do Cindy!

    • sakin amber

I think ,this catalina starts Monday May 16.

    • Joan

Where they with the other toothbrushes or somewhere else?

      • Anna T

I found them in the travel section with the travel size items.

  • Danielle

Hi Cindy! Thanks so much for the match-ups! Could not live without them! LOL!! One question – is it possible to add one item at the bottom of each of your lists with the name of the store & dates of the sale so I can check it to add to my printed list? (I print several lists from your blog each week and unless it says, “Up Rewards” or “ECB’s” I’m done for! LOL!) Thanks!!!

    • Cindy

I am suppose to be doing that on as the first item but I keep forgetting. I think the Pathmark triples are making me lose my mind :)

  • michelle

can we still do the purina catalina from last weeek???

  • Tara F

were do you get the P&G Everyday Savings Book

    • Stacey

It was something you sent away for with receipts…..

Mine comes once a month in the Sunday paper.

  • cheryl manna

On the front page of my Shop-rite circular, there is a store coupon for a 50 oz. Wisk. You must spend an additional $10.00 and present the coupon to qualify for the Wisk at $3.99. Couple this with the manufacturer $2.00 coupon and pay only $1.99 for a 50 oz bottle.

    • DianeG

      Thanks!

    • http://mwarrior123@live.com Kim

Can you actually use both the Shoprite $3.99 Wisk coupon from the flyer AND a manufacturer coupon? That would be pretty awesome, but I’m not sure if they would allow it.

      • Alicia

Kim, yes you can use the store coupon with the man. coupon to get the wisk for $1.99. I got some myself then I saw Price Chopper had it 50 cents cheaper after the coupon. *bangs head*

        • Kim

Thanks Alicia! I wish I had a price chopper near by. I’ll just have to settle for the Shoprite price of $1.99. Still a great deal!

  • Eleanor

I apologize for asking this again but I first asked it on the preview page which is now moot and I don’t think anyone will see my question. Does anyone know how many Nestle catalinas can be redeemed in one transaction? I have 4 of them for week 1 and was wondering if we will be limited to 2. Thanks!

    • Stacey

My Shoprites will only allow me to use one at a time. I split my orders to accommodate.

      • denise

I had 3 of them and they all went through no problems. I bought 3 tombstone pizzas and 2 Edy Fruit bars…and it worked fine

  • Natalie

Thanks for the weekly matchups Cindy! Do you have any deal ideas for the Nestle or Purex/Dial Catalinas?

  • Annie

The $.55 Bulls Eye coupon is a Do Not Double.

    • Jen W

Unless it’s a “9″, or you have a cashier to hits the DND button, it will double. I didn’t print it out so I don’t know if it’s a DND 5 or not…

  • Warren Prosser

I’ve noticed that most websites offering printable coupons will limit your choices to 2 each, but the Santa Cruz organic lemonade kept going each time I went back to click Print! I stopped after 8, and reversed the paper to print 2 per sheet. Saved a tree. :0)

    • pat

With the Santa Cruz printable I did that and only one was able to be used.

      • 0246

it’s a PDF, there shouldn’t be any limit as to how many can be used.

        • Patti M

They will all have the same bar code number so if you have a “sharp” cashier you will be restricted to one b/c they will say it’s a “copy”.

          • Patti M

…meaning more than one in one transaction. I usually use one per shopping trip when they’re on sale.

            • dineen

the coupon I printed is from Santa Cruz’s website and it reads “do not double” at the very end of the “Retailer: ” So to me this means I’ll pay $0.14 per bottle per purchase & it will be up to the discretion of the manager how many over all I can buy. I’ll find out tomorrow… Thanks for the Wisk deal idea def gonna stock up!!!!

              • Ted

I used a total of 8 Santa Cruz coupons today, (made second trip back into the store) no problems with any of them. They doubled every one of them, regardless of what the coup says, so they were free…. it’s basically YMMV every trip you make.

                • Kierstin

My Santa Cruz coupons doubled today also. However, I did have a slight issue with them. Because it doesn’t have a website of origin on it, a manager was called over. It went through after she typed it in but just be aware that they might question it at first. They never noticed the “dnd” & it doubled automatically because it starts with a “5″. Oh & I only got 1 bottle because the shelves were completely cleared except for 1 lonely bottle. Texas Toast croutons were gone & so were the San Giorgio pasta. =(

    • tj

At shoprite does a limit of 4 mean 4 per card or 4 per transaction?

      • Kierstin

At my store, it’s per transaction.

      • denise

if u have more than 4 just split your transactions

    • Anonymous

You should only use one Santa Cruz coupon because they have the same barcode so it’d be fraud to use more than one. My cashier called the manager over to look at the coupon, and the manager told me I made a copy of it. I insisted I didn’t, which was true, and she said if it would scan then go ahead and use it. It scanned with no problem.

      • Ana

I don’t think it’s, fraud the coupon doesn’t indicate a limit and neither does the website, as far as the barcode is concerned my mother in-law printed some from her computer and we both had the same barcode. Sometimes cashiers feel they may get in trouble if they accept too many “suspicious,” coupons.

  • Jennifer K.

What is everyone using their catalinas on from the last two weeks? I only did the Purina one and I want to get the most bang for my buck. Does anyone know if the item I purchase with it needs to be over $5.00? Or could I buy something less than $5 and get the overage?

    • Jennifer

The catalinas don’t state that you have to buy over $5 worth of purina/nestle items. So you could buy 1 can of cat food or 1 nestle crunch bar and the remainder could be applied towards other items. Although you could always get a cashier or manager that doesn’t agree with that logic.

  • mary catherine

cindy–you are just THE BEST!!! thank you so much for the work you do every week. because of it–you have saved my husband and i hundreds of dollars in a few short months. i have found no better coupon source than you. thank you so much!!!!!

Just wondering if the Kids reach toothbrushes were included in the catalina deal?

  • Anonymous

Does anyone know if the kids reach toothbrushes are included in the catalina deal?

  • Alica

In my ad, Ciao Bella Sorbet is half price for $1.99 and there is a printable for 50 cents here:
    http://www.ciaobellagelato.com/savings/

also the driscolls straberries are $1.49 and there is a printable for 50 cents off here (you have to sign up for the email) http://www.driscolls.com/email/

    • joan

Thank you Alicia, my ad has the Ciao Bella too.

For the strawberries, do they email you the coupon? I signed up but they didn’t email me (I checked my spam) and I didn’t see it on the site after signing up.

      • staceypunk

yes, they email it to you, and you can get two prints.

    • Aileen

Thanks for the strawberry coupon! It’s so rare to find a produce coupon!!

      • Alicia

You’re welcome! I even came home and was bragging to my hubby “i had a coupon for these and they were 50 cents!!” LOL

        • jonathan

Where are you located? My circular has strawberries for $1.49 also, but just says california strawberries…these aren’t driscoll’s are they?

          • Alicia

I get the Poughkeepsie, NY ad and it specified Driscolls, which, thankfully was actually what they had at the store! You may have to check out your store to see what they are carrying on sale. Either way it’s a good price, without a coupon.

  • Anonymous

Thank you SO MUCH Cindy for making it so easy to get free food! BTW the mount olive coupons/ hangtags, tend to be DND 9′s. :-(

  • holly

Does anyone know if Shoprite allows you to use a bogo coupon and a cents off coupon like the drugstores do? For instance, can I use a bogo coupon on taster’s choice, get one free and then use the .65 coupon, which doubles?

    • Christine

Yes you can use both. The BOGO coupon will attach to the free item, and the .65 coupon will attach to the other item.

  • joan

the Lay’s coupons in the Pepsi Moments insert isn’t any good, it does not include the regular lays, and the sale does not include the kettle cooked

    • mary catherine

yeah i tried it last week and no good :( the kettle chips were on sale but they were a dollar more. oh well.

  • morgan

are you guys sure that the quick cook is included in the san giorgio?

  • Anna T

Good Morning. Just wanted to add that the circular in the Ocean County Asbury Park Press has a super coupon for 3.99 Wisk making it 1.99 after both coupons.

  • jen

    Hi everyone,
I have a catalina question…I did the Purina deal 2x, and was wondering are you allowed to buy the large bag of dog food, and use the 2 $5cats, or do you have to buy 2 small bags and use the 2?
Also, for the Nestle deal, are the cats good for your whole puchase of nestle? For example, can I buy 3lean cuisines, and use the catatlina for the whole purchase, or do I need to buy a single product that is worth more than 5dollars? Hope this makes sense! I have been couponing for years, but I just starting taking advantage of the catalinas! Thanks so much!
    Jen

    • http://mydailyswag.blogspot.com Loretta

It goes for your entire nestle purchase. You can go in and buy $5 worth of anything Nestle brand.

      • Anonymous

        thankyou! Awesome!

    • Craig

I also did the purina catalina twice over the last 2 weeks, I went this morning and bought a big bag of purina puppy chow dog food. It was priced at 14.99…..I used both 5 dollar catalinas plus a 2 dollar internet coupon that i had…..after coupons and catalinas I paid 4.o5…..so to answer your question…yes you can use both catalinas!!!!

      • Anonymous

        Yes! thank you!

      • andy

And the second one did not beep?

        • Jen W

No, you should be allowed to use 2 per purchase, one from each week, as you were allowed to do 1 of each offer each week. So if you did 2 purina, 2 nestle, one each week, you should be able to use all 4 in the same transaction…

  • Chris

Has anyone else had a problem trying to print the coupon from Driscoll’s? I signed up and they sent me an email for the coupon. I click on the link and get a blank page every time.

    • Jim

I just tried it. No problems here…sorry

    • Alicia

Maybe try a different browser? I used Firefox/Mozilla no issues.

  • Jennifer

I was able to use two Nestle cats, two Purina cats and one Purex cat in the same order with no problem :).

    • andy

      Beepless?

      • Jennifer

Probably not, because the cashier had to scan a key for each one. I showed her he cats before checkout, and she called for the key right then. She had to use it for all of them, I think. Not sure exactly, but I was in and out with no hassle.

  • sidra

Can someone please tell me what page is the reach toothbrush advertize. I can’t seems to see it. I am in Dobbs Ferry, NY. I order coupons from ebay and would love to use it and make some money. Thanks in advance.

    • Cindy

      It’s an unadvertised deal.

      • Anonymous

I went to the EB Shop Rite and the .99 toothbrushes were nowhere to be found!! Darn!!

        • Cindy

You have to look in the travel section for the $0.99 toothbrushes

        • http://www.mmbuilds.com Tom

The EB ShopRite doesn’t carry them. Neither does the Edison. I checked them out a while ago.

  • http://frugalscoop@gmail.com Taryn

FYI, there is still a $3/2 coupon available for the Sundown vitamins, if you haven’t printed it already. It’s here: http://www.sundownnaturals.com/pages/free_coupon.aspx

  • Kristi

I went to SR in Vailsgate, NY today. The San Giorgio pasta coupon is for Quick Cook Pasta and this store did not have any, but the coup worked on regular pasta. Also, my 5/1 RP had carolina Rice coupons for .50/1, they are on sale at SR for 3/$2.00 making them free with coupon. Im headed back. The store also had Earthbound Organic Romaine and Arugula on sale for $1.each and I had a coupon for $1/1 making them Free!! Headed back with more coups soon!!I used my Purina Catalina for $5 and bought 1 can of wet cat food for.55 and also had a B1G1 coupon.. The total $5 applied to my order!

    • Denise

Just because the Quick Cook Pasta coupon “worked” on the regular pasta, it doesn’t mean it’s still okay to use. That’s fraud.

If the store doesn’t even sell that variety, how are they going to explain to the manufacturer that someone actually bought it? The store risks being reimbursed, just so you know.

      • LK

        Denise, thanks for mentioning that.

A few years ago there was so much trouble with fraudulent internet coupons that most stores in my area refused to accept them. That cost me a LOT of money in lost savings.

If we don’t use coupons properly, the stores will eventually change their coupon policies and that will mean higher grocery bills for all of us.

        • Kristi

          @Denise & LK,

I was not aware that was fraud. I have seen on this site in the past that a coupon may say its for XYZ product but also works with A&B products too. I am relatively new to couponing and would appreciate clarification. I thought fraud was forging, altering, printing etc coupons which I would never do. It seems the bar coding system should be able to kick back coupons which don’t match up to specific products, no? Also, is it fraud if the coupon says “do not double” but the store does double it and it is a widely accepted practice which I have read about on this site?

          • Anonymous

DND means that the manufacturer will not reimburse the store for doubling the coupon. When stores double they get reimbursed for the face value only not the double part this goes for all coupons regardless if it says DND or not. No it is not fraud to get a DND to double because it is the store that is giving you the extra money off on the coupon. Hope this makes sense.

          • Cindy

Kristi, you are right that using a product for something other then intended for is coupon fraud however your mention of the “Do Not Double” coupon is not correct. Do not double coupons are just the manufacturers way to tell the retailers that they (the manufacturer) will not be reimbursing the store for the doubled part of the coupon. In some cases, manufacturers will come to an agreement with the retailers to pay for all or part of the doubled part of the coupon.

In most cases, when a retailer doubles or triples coupons, the doubled or tripled part are considered a “store coupons”. This would be the same as them have a 0.50 off store coupon on a product that you can stack with a $0.50 manufacturers coupon. Similar to the in ad coupons you can get at Walgreens or Rite Aid. But, there are cases where the manufacturer will actually pay for that doubled part to help push their products. When you see the words “Do Not Double” that simply is the manufacturer saying that the retailer can double or the coupons or even triple, but the (the manufacturer) will not be paying for the doubled part.

Stores like ShopRite have, for a long time, doubled coupons. This is their way of offering extra deals to customers. I did do a post a while ago you might want to take a look at.
            http://www.livingrichwithcoupons.com/2009/11/the-mystery-of-the-do-not-double-coupon.html

          • Cindy

Kristi, I never, ever mentioned on this site that if a coupon is for XYZ but you can use it on A&B. So, I’m not sure why you think that.

Also, it is NOT fraud to have a Do Not Double Coupon double.

            • Kristi

Thanks Cindy- I appreciate your feedback. I actually went back and read the “doubling” article you published after I wrote my post. With regard to the other question about a coupon covering an item not specifically indicated on the coupon- I must have misunderstood something I had previously read. I appreciate that you corrected me on this. There are many nuances of couponing which I am still learning about and I appreciate all you and the rest of the viewers do to help people learn and save money. In the future, I certainly won’t do that again. I have learned so much from this site and in just a little over 3 months of hard work, my husband and I have managed to cut down on our grocery bill by about 60%, which is huge- so thank you again!!

              • Cindy

Kristi, well I am very happy to see that you are educating yourself on how to properly use coupons. That is very important. There are so many awesome deals to take advantage of and the best place to start is having a solid foundation about how to properly use coupons. It sounds like you are on your way to saving lots of money.

                • Anonymous

To Kristi’s defense, I think may be if there was some clarification, like this week, the San Giorgio pasta sale for
.62 does not seem to include the Quick Cook (at least when I checked prices on the ShopRite at Home link for my local store) but you include the link for the Quick Cook. And the Lays varieties for 1.99 are not included in the Pepsico $2 off 2 deal but the coupon is listed. It lists Kettle only plus Rold Gold or Sun Chips for the coupon.
Not trying to be disrespectful here, just pointing out my own observations.

                  • Cindy

Well, the Ronzoni sale always includes the Quick Cook so I would have to assume that the San Giorgio does as well. However, not all stores carry all the Quick Cook varieties so possibly yours does not.

Also, the Lays sales usually do include the Kettle Chips and the ad states “any variety”. I can only assume that the Kettle Chips are again included this time as well.

I do thousands of match ups each week. There are many, many varieties per brand. I read each ad and do the best I can to determine which coupons will go with each item. I have to account for varieties, size limits, store restrictions, etc. In the end it is the shoppers responsibility to be sure they have the exact coupon for the exact product.

                    • Susan

Cindy I think that you have explained proper coupon usage more than enough on your site. It is up to the the consumer to be responsible for proper usage!! When I was new to couponing I made 1 or 2 honest mistakes. But as I progressed, (thanks to you!), I realized how very important it is for us all to coupon responsibly. Love you Cindy!!

              • Carrie

I also thought I remember afew times where you are able to use a Q on something that is not specificly listed on the Q. I believe the energizer batteries were said to work on everyready perhaps and I thought the el montery Q’s were also working on another lable that I can not remember at this moment. So asking if Q’s worked on similer items from the manufacturer is not really implying that you are fraudulantly trying to use the Q. I think perhaps making more than on trip to a store to use more than the 4 quantity limit stores impose would also go against the intended couponing rules. Just saying that alot of people see one thing as wrong and justify others. Missinterpiting a Q is an honest question and does not mean one is trying to get one over on the company. Sorry but this hit a little nerve.

  • Jackie

If anyone gets “The Record” (newspaper in NJ) there is a Super Coupon for one free ($1.99 value) ShopRite Allergy Medication. It is in the Better Living Section.

  • Ted

Just want to say thanks to Cindy and everyone else for how this site has helped me. I just started trying to coupon only a week ago and now, although I’ve had little sleep, I’m already starting to get the hang of it. I’m lacking all the coupons everyone has for the deals, which aren’t printable, as I had not been getting all the inserts before, I am now. I actually found that I was able to use some of my SR OnePass Miles for 26 free weeks of the Sunday Philadelphia Inquirer :).. free coupons! I’m sure as I start accumulating more and more coupons things will improve greatly however, I can’t complain about my take today. In two trips total, I was able to get $175 worth of groceries for $75. Never saved $100 before, lol, so thanks to all… I actually have dinner for the week and am compiling quite a stock pile with some items. By the way, finding this to be addicting! Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

$1.50 Melitta Cafe Collection from the 5/1 SmartSource Insert, is only for Melitta Cafe Collection, which is on sale for $4.79 from $5.09

  • Aileen

Do they really calculate the amount purchased to qualify for the catalina BEFORE the price plus discount? I’ve been hesitant to try it but would like to for the P&G this week.

  • sakin amber

Does anybody try shoprite back page catalinas? (Pantene, Johnson, Sundown)
Limit 1 catalina per transaction or more catalina printing? Please let me know if anybody tried?

    • Claire

I did 3 of the Johnson’s and had no problem getting all 3 back. I did have trouble with the Pantene. It is not every Pantene. Make sure to only buy the ones marked with the shelf tag. I had to return mine since it didn’t work.

      • Anonymous

        Thank you.

      • Michelle

I made the same mistake also. It has to be the 25oz Pantene. I had bought the smaller one. I checked with customer service and they said that I can buy mutiple deals in a transaction (ex. 4 Pantene to get $8 catalinas {ad states get $4 catalinas wyb 2 pantene}). She said to come back after my purchase if there were any problems.

  • Natalie

    Hey,

    LOVE the site!

Anyone know if you can use coupons and the catalinas from the other week?

Is there a list of the Dial/Purex products you can use the catalinas on?

    Thanks!

    • james

Purex 150 oz. is $6.99 with a $3/1 coupon. You pay $3.99 which then gives you an overage of $1.01 ont eh catalina to put towards the rest of your order.

      • Jen W

You are supposed to purchase $5 in that brands products, not apply it to the rest of your order…

      • Jen W

        I missed the coupon, sorry!

  • Jenna

I’ve been trying to print out the Aqua Fresh Iso Active coupon from the site. It keeps giving me a run time error. Has this happened to anyone else? This is by far, the best toothpaste I have ever used.

    • Claire

If you got this week’s RP, there is a Q for the Aqua Fresh ISO Active in that.

  • Christina

Sunny D (the big bottles) are on sale for $0.99 each!

Normally $2.29, but with the $0.55/1 coupon from online, DOUBLED means FREE!

    I just got 2 for free! ;)

    • gabby

where is the online sunny d coupon? I got 1 from my smartsource insert this week but it was only a $0.25 coupon. Thanks!!

      • Susan

I think the online coupon is gone. I did’nt get any in my inserts either.

  • Joan

Are the Kotex U products included in the Kotex sale?

  • Jennifer

I bought the two pantene shampoos and did not get the Catalina. What can I do about it?

    • Cindy

You can go to customer service for this because it’s listed right in the circular

    • Jen

I brought one pantene shampoo and one pantene conditioner and also did not receive the catalina. Was I supposed to only buy 2 shampoo to receive this deal? I did not see a tag on my shelf advertising the catalina so I did not go to customer service. I kind of feel awkward returning to the store asking for my catalina. Do you think calling the catalina marketing department will help?

      • Cindy

It’s right in the circular and it’s a basic buy 2 get $4 catalina. The ad clearly states shampoo, conditioner. It also states it does not include: color shine conditioner and curl & shine shampoo. So, if you purchased the items that are included and you purchased 2 of them, you should have no problem getting your catalinas while you are in the store. However, since you probably left the store, there is no way for customer service to know if you really received the catalina or not. So, you will be better off contacting catalina marketing.

        • Kristi

This happened to me too, and I went to customer service and they printed one out for me, no questions asked :)

          • http://mountainsarefalling.blogspot.com Brynn

I have come home before to realize I did not get my intended cat, and have gone back and they have given it to me. Worth a try! Question about the Pantene deal – can you do it twice and have 2 $4 cats print out? Thanks!

            • Susan

Cindy do you know if we can roll the Pantene cat?

              • Cindy

I’m not sure at the point.

  • Tara

I’m new here, so I don’t understand everything yet.
Was in my local shoprite today (Brooklyn, NY) and they do not double coupons. Also, many products you listed are more expensive in my local circular. Does this make sense?
    thanks in advance!

    • staceypunk

Tara: prices are regional, so yes they can differ from what’s on the site.

    • Susan

Tara check your store circular online for pricing before shopping or printing Qs. Perhaps you have another ShopRite close to you that does double. Or you could check out the deals for RiteAid or Walgreens they have grocery items too.

  • Christina

    Also…

The Frank’s RedHot Chili Sauce is on sale for $1.59 at my store.

With the .75/1 coupon in todays paper (5/15 SS insert) *doubled* makes it only $0.09 a bottle!

  • Eric

just so you know you can print out a $.75 coupon for santa cruz organic lemonade which is on sale for $.99. the coupon does not state DND so the lemonade should be free.

there is also a super coupon in the circ for Libby’s Veg cans 3 for $1.00.

you can also google for a peter pan peanut butter coupon which is for $.50 and the peanut butter is on sale for $1.50. the coupon will be doubled which brings it down to $.50 each.. if you eat as much peanut butter as i do, thats a great deal.. (my dogs love PB too!)

  • chris

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they take my Santa Cruz pdf coupons!

  • Carrie

Just wondering if anyone used the werthers Q on the original hard candy. The Q said it was for the choc. candy type and I didn’t want to try it since the SR I was at is not coupon friendly.

    • Michelle

The coupon is good for the item listed ONLY…buying what is NOT listed is coupon fraud. This is why stores are becoming so “not coupon friendly” lately.

  • April

I went to 2 SR’s yesterday and neither one had the Santa Cruz lemonade out. They both said they might be in the back but weren’t out yet. Or that they might not have been on the delivery truck… but they weren’t sure. And then they BOTH told me to come back later in the week. I went on the first day of the sale to make sure I would get some before they sold out! Why would you not stock up on the items in your sale ad?? Wasted my time.

And my SR had Driscoll strawberries last week but a different brand this week when the sale started :( Not a good coupon week so far.

    • Jen W

Get a raincheck when they don’t have the items in stock that you want. In the case of the Santa Cruz, the expiration date is sometime in June (I think) so there’s plenty of time to get them in the next 60 days (raincheck exp date) when they aren’t on sale, for the sale price with your coupons :)

    • David

The strawberries at one of my SR listed them as ‘California Strawberries’ on sale. However when I went there, there were 3-4 differenent manufacturers under the Cal. Straw. sale sign, so I grabbed the Driscoll brand and used the coupons. You may want to recheck to see if your ST has them bunched up this way.

  • Michelle

Can anyone please tell me which page the Texas Toast coupon is on in the All You May issue I have looked in it 2 times and in the coupon index?

Also My Shoprite has the Santa Cruz ice teas on sale like the Mango tea, peppermint tea, lemon tea and rasberry tea for $1.39 if the lemonade is gone. If you use coupon it’s free.

  • laurie

was not able to use more than one santa cruz coupon :( I had 12 other coupond and 4 santa cruz they called a manager over to look over each one some of which were from the newspaper .I have never had this happen at my Shop Rite before. They apologized and said they were experiencing tons of coupon fraud esp with the IP coupons what a shame some have to ruin it for all.

    • Kierstin

A manager was called over for my Santa Cruz coupons also. They said they were questioning it because it did not have a “website of origin” on it. Some ShopRites have a policy where, if there is not a website printed somewhere on it, then they will not accept it. They put mine in & it was fine (of course, because it’s a legit coupon). I’m thinking a ton of people had my same coupon because there was only 1 bottle of lemonade left so I’m wondering if they questioned everyone with this coupon.

  • Nuri

did the $50 dollar P&G deal
    4 bounty basic – 4.99 each
    4 charmin basic – 4.99 each
    2 bounce bars – 2.99 each
    1 wiffer wet refill – 4.49 each
(i was told by customer service that prices for cat deals are after price plus – otherwise i could have bought less TP and paper towels)

    used
    4 charmin 1$ off
    4 bounty 1$ off
    2 bounce 1$ off
1 swiffer refill 50 cents off doubled to 1$

    total before price plus 68.89
    total before coupons 50.39 cents
    total after coupons 39.39
got 10 bucks back for my next purchase, got a “mail in rebate” for 10 more dollars

net out of pocket will be 19.39

    prorated costs
    bounty $1.92
    charmin $1.92
    bounce bars $1.15
    swiffer $1.73

    • Tara

fantastic!! I was told that it had to be $50 AFTER coupons, so I bought $53 worth of P&G stuff, Only had $3 worth of coupons.

      • Eileen @QponPrincess

its NEVER after coupons, it is SUPPOSED to be BEFORE price plus/sale discount, but employees will nearly always tell you it is AFTER price plus…
I have only had one time it not work on BEFORE price plus, but I also didnt double check the shelf price to see if it matched the site(so it may have been a difference of shelf prices not sure)…
you can always try, and if it doesnt work, go over to customer service and have them add on an additional item and print the cat for you…if they want to be difficult they can make you return the purchase and re-buy it, but if they are cooperative, they can work some magic and just make it happen…

        • Nuri

if you used coupons on your first purchase, and the CAT didnt print, will your lose the coupons?

          • Aileen C

They usually just give you the full value of the item back (before coupons) – at least at my store. If your cat doesn’t print and you think you bought the right items, your best bet is to contact Catalina Marketing.

          • Eileen @QponPrincess

the time I had to do this, they somehow just did a transaction for the additional items and forced the CAT using their book of cat codes, IF they were to be difficult and make you return and rebuy the items, it would be their discretion whether to allow you to re-use the coupons from the original purchase…
what you can always do is while you are STILL at the original register, as soon as you see your CAT doesnt print ask them to call over customer service, when they tell you you didnt buy enough, ask if they can bring your coupons up to the customer service desk, because you need to redo the transaction, adding additional items…
technically although its not great for us, when you do a “return” you dont get back the value of , nor the coupons used, which in my opinion is unfair since they will be reimbursed for the coupons… I believe mostly it is to prevent you from buying an item with a coupon with the intention of returning it for full value and “making money” off of it, but EVEN in that case, they still would be getting reimbursed by the manufacturer for the face value of the coupon…not that I am saying doing that is right…anyway my point is, it is the stores discretion how they handle re-doing a CAT deal, worst case scenario is a return-rebuy without the original coupons in which case you probably wont rebuy it, and I am sure they would rather you rebuy it than lose the sale…If you are polite with the staff, they SHOULD be helpful as my local shoprite staff always is

        • Jen W

I bought 3 Angel Soft last week with a shelf price of $20.97, after price plus they were $17.97 and got my cat based on the shelf price. I was so worried I was going to have to buy a 4th 12 pack of toilet paper LOL

  • Lisa

Anyone know if you can do the reach toothbrush CAT more then once? I think I have to do it in separate transactions but will two print? That, of course, is assuming I find the 99 cent toothbrushes.

    • Jen

Lisa, I did this the last time they had a Reach catalina deal. You will just have to break up your transaction and they will roll over. The .99 toothbrushes are in the travel section.

  • Natalie Fox

Any ideas for a good deal to use with our purex/dial catalina?

    • Anonymous

I picked up the 150 oz. Purex. It is $6.99 amd there is a $3/1 coupon. It cost $3.99 and I used the $5 cat which then gave me the $1.01 overage to use on something else. The 50 oz. Purex was $4.19 with $1/1 so for $.80 you get 100 oz more.

      • Natalie

        Nice, Thank You!!!!

  • Rebecca S

Did anyone try the Melitta Deal? If so did it take the specialty coffee?

  • Melissa

Has anyone found the Reach toothbrushes? I checked the travel sections of 2 ShopRites (and the regular toothbrush sections) and not only didn’t they have them, there isn’t even a little sign for them with an empty hanger or anything. Bummed :(

    • David

They’re definatly at the travel section but it’s hit and miss if it would be in stock all the time, especially many knowing the catalina deal going on now. I was able to get them at 2 of the 3 SR’s in my area. In the second one I grabbed the last four from the wall.

    • sandra

you can also find the reach toothbrushes at walgreens. I got 4 of them for 99 cents each paid 64 cents oop and received my 4 catalina.:)

  • Robyn

    Hi Cindy,
Love your website!!! Keep up the work. I did the p&g deal at shop rite for some reason I didn’t receive the print out for the mail in offer. Are the action PAC and 1/2 gallon fabric softener included in the deal cause if that is the case I went over 50 dollar. Should I go to customer service and ask them why or do you have a number I should call. I was pretty bum when it did come out. Just let me know thanks Robyn

    • Cindy

did you get the print out for the $10 catalina and not the $10 mail in?

  • David

San Giorgo Quick Cook Pasta: Has anyone been able to find this variety in SR? I went to three different ones and all I can find is the regular pasta.

    • Cindy

It might be like the Ronzoni Quick Cook pasta was when it first came out. It was available in select stores and in a few weeks, everyone had it.

  • Kristi

Morning all! I have 2 questions- I want to be sure I’m not doing anything wrong… If you hit the back button and are able continue printing out coupons, each with a different bar code number, it is wrong to continue printing them?

    2. If a store does not have an item (Reach toothbrushes) because they are sold out, can you get a rain check and get the cats when they become available again, even if it is after the cat deal has expired?

    Thanks!!

  • Kristi

    Morning!! 2 quick questions.

    1. If you hit the back button and it continues to print coupons, each with a different bar code, is it wrong to continue printing them? Want to be sure I’m not doing something illegal.

    2. If a store does not have an item (Reach Toothbrushes) because they are sold out, can you get a rain check and the cat’s even if they are not back in stock until after the cat deal has expired?

    Thanks!!

    • SouthjerseyShopper

      1. not sure. I wouldn’t think so if they’re all different.
      2. yes to rain check, only as long as the sale is listed in this week’s circular (at least that’s the way it is at my local SR); no to the cats, if the deal has expired at the POS

    • Aileen C

Kristi – the “bricks” coupons (coupons.com ones that print directly) can be printed 2x by hitting your back button. Each will have a different pin number in the top right (but the same bar code). As long as the pins are different, it’s fine. The page will tell you when you’ve printed it as many times as you are allowed.

  • Gretchen

Love the site! Just wondering if I purchase more than the 2 Pantenes, if I can recieve a catalina for each two that I purcahse or is the catalina limited to one? Thanks!

  • Robyn

Hi Cindy thanks for getting back with me. I didn’t receive either one, but I called my shop rite and they said to come in with the receipt. They said that the machine might be broke I will let you know if that was the reason. Thanks so much coupon queen forever. Robyn

  • Keri

I was wondering why the Santa Cruz coupon says void in the barcode? Does anyone else have this issue?

    • Kierstin

They coupon they show you on their website is not the actual coupon to print. You have to fill out that small form then click “print coupon” under the picture of the coupon. Don’t just print your screen…that is not a valid coupon.

    • Megan

I had the same issue- it printed out with VOID on it after I’d clicked “print coupon”. Not sure if it’s because I’d changed the quantity to 2 or not. But I was able to go back and re-enter my info and it printed 1 fine. HTH

  • Kristi

@Keri- It only says that in the image on the computer, not when it prints (at least on mine) HTH’s!

  • Michelle

    I have 3 questions. :)
    1. Has anyone found out yet if the
$2/1 Johnson’s Face and Body Lotion printable is included in the Johnsons catalina deal??

    2. Does anyone know if the sundown vitamin deal is working multiple times? If so can they be in the same transaction?

    3. Are renuzit air fresheners something I can buy to use my purex catalina?

    • Aileen C

I did the sundown deal 2x in the same transaction (4 bottles) and got 2 cats.

      • Michelle B

        Sweet! Thanks for the update.

  • tj

Is the quickcook pasta included in the sale?

  • Leah

There is a catalina for Whiskas cat food trays. They are on sale for 7 for $4.00 and Im pretty sure the catalina was $1 OYNO when you buy 4. There might have been other ones at more quantities, but now I cant remember! Ugh. I am going tonight with my BOGO whiskas tray coupons (from this weekend’s RP) since I didnt have them at shoprite this morning. So with 3 coupons you can get them for 7 @ about 2.26, and after the 1 catalina, they’re only about 18cents a piece :)

I mentioned it somewhere else, but wanted to add that LA Looks hair gel is on sale at Shoprite for $1.49, and with the $1 off coupon from this weekend’s SS its only 49cents a bottle !

    • staceypunk

That’s an awesome deal, my husband uses this hair gel. I don’t recall seeing the coupon in my SS (upstate NY).

    • Anonymous

Thanks. Got the hair gel coupon. Have to check if its on sale at my SR.

      • Cathy

The LA Looks had .75 peelies on them so free :-)

  • Christine

FYI…I noticed today that the Silver Palate Grainberry cereals are half price, marked down to $2.25. There is a $1 off coupon expiring on 6/30/11.

    • Anonymous

      Christine,
I’ve been wanting to try this cereal but its way too expensive reg price. Can I ask what SR you found it at for half price and where did you find the coupon?

      • Christine

I got the coupon out of one of the newspaper inserts…not sure which one but it expres on 6/30/11. Check Cindy’s coupon database to figure out which insert. It comes in a trio: one for the crackers, one for the cereal, and one for the muffin mix. I saw the cereal in the Oakland and Wayne SR.

      • christine

        I found mine in RP 5/15–expires 7/31

  • Gina

Just a quick one….shop rite week of 05.15.11 at the Fishkill NY shaoprite, Jack Daniels BBQ sauce on sale 5/$4. With the 75 cent coupon, doubles to $1.50. The difference applied to the rest of my order making it a 25cent money maker. Not sure if they have caught on but it worked Sunday evening.

  • Ted

  • Kaitlyn

This happened to me too tonight . I had to drive to another town today to go somewhere and stopped at the shoprite not in my town. My Santa cruz coupons worked fine there. Later tonight I stopped in my local shoprite forgetting bananas I figured I would get 4 more (I mean they are free and all!) Mangager told me they wouldnt take photocopied coupons! Which they werent! And I could only use one. Its amazing to me the different experiences in maybe a ten mile radius.

    • Michelle B

U R right I try to stick to my shoprite since I rarely have problems. Also the right cashier makes all the difference. The cashier I try to go to if she is there is a fellow couponer and knows what she is doing. She is very friendly and informs me on sales and promotions I might not know about. It certainly pays to have a friendly relationship with the employees at the stores you shop at regularly.

  • Tim

Anyone have any ideas for the Nestle Coupon this week? Any suggestions would be helpful.

  • mary catherine

sooooo i have a question about the sensodyne catalina deal–where you buy $12 worth of participating products and get a $4 cat. on monday, we went and bought about $30 worth of sensodyne (its all my husband uses so we wanted to stock up) and as our 1st transaction, we bought all the sensodyne, and 4 sundown naturals vitamins (all with coupons, of course!). it printed out only ONE $4 cat from sensodyne but BOTH cats from sundown. i thought that since i essentially had TWO $12 orders it would give me two cats but i guess i should have separated them into 2 transactions to get the second $4 cat, right? and i’m assuming its too late to remedy it by going to customer service and try to get the other cat, right?

  • Christina

The la looks gel is on sale for 1.50 at my store and some had .75 cent peelies making them free!

  • Anne

I went to Shop Rite today and was looking for the Reach toothbrushes for the cat deal. I found them in the travel section, however, they were full price $1.19, not $0.99. Still a great deal with the cat. I got a printout that said that this cat deal will be running until 6/12, so even at the full price of $1.19 we have plenty of time to take advantage of it. For the Nestle coupon, I ended up with 2 hot pockets @ 2.50ea, with a $1.25/2 coupon. For the Purex/Dial coupon I got a small tube of Dial NutriSkin lotion that was on sale for $2.49, with a $1 off coupon for any Dial product.

  • Lori S.

I received my $10 mail in rebate coupon from the P&G purchase this week AND also got a mail in rebate off of a Febreeze Scent Warmer that I purchased. The problem is they both need the cash register receipt. Does anyone have advice on how to still get both rebates from one receipt? (BTW – I used a coupon for a free scent warmer when purchasing a refill, which I also had a $1 coupon for…I believe both purchases are qualifying for the P&G $10 rebate) The scent warmer had a mail-in-rebate in the box.

  • juli

I WENT TO SHOP RITE IN WLB AND I DID NOT RECEIVE CATALINA COUPON AFTER I PAID FOR 2 PANTENE. I WENT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT THEY DID NOT GIVE MY CATALINA. WHAT I HAVE TO DO IN ORDER TO RECEIVE MY COUPON? THANKS, JULI
    Pantene Shampoo – $3.99
    Buy 2 and get a $4 Catalina
    $3/2 Pantene Product, exp. 5-31-11 (P&G 05/01/11)
$0.49 each after coupon & Catalina

    • Cindy

They need to give you your catalina. It’s right in the circular so I’m not sure what their reason would be for saying no.

      • Alissa

There were some tags in the WLB store that did not have the Catalina deal assocaited with it when I was there today, but mine printed fine.

  • staceypunk

ha, I just have to share my dream from last night. As I was reading the comments on this thread this morning I had a flash back and remembered a piece of my dream. It was a point of view angle of me reading the circular and in fine print under the pantene deal, it said- with purchase of Kaytee bird seed, 8lb bag- and I was like – that’s why ppl aren’t getting the cat. Ha, I just thought that was funny because it’s so ridiculous how couponing can take over your brain. You all are great!

    • Ana

    Quick question about doubling coupons:

    Texas Toast Croutons – $1.25
$0.50/1 Texas Toast Croutons, exp. 7-31-11 (SS 04/03/11)
$0.50/1 Texas Toast Croutons, exp. 7-31-11 (ALL YOU May ’11)
$1/2 Texas Toast Croutons, exp. 7-31-11 (SS 04/03/11)
$0.55/1 Texas Toast Croutons, exp. 7-31-11 (SS 04/03/11)
as low as $0.15 each after coupon

Don’t all shop rite coupons online double up to $1.00. So even the 55 cent coupon would be $1.00 off. How are you figuring as low as 15 cents?

    • Anonymous

If you have the $0.55/1 then doubles to be $1.10 off leaving the final cost at just $0.15

      • vicki

oh, really? hmmm. I had been under the impression this whole time that coupons only double up to a total of $1.00. is it different in different areas?

So if I have a 75 cent off coupon, it’ll double to $1.50 off?

  • Michelle B

I have one quick question. I have an ALL YOU coupon for a free juicy juice 8pk juice boxes when you buy Huggies Little Swimmers. Can I also use a $1/1 huggies little swimmers coupon with ithis order??? It’s confusing.

    • Michelle

YES! The coupon will attach to the free item.

  • JazzyDee

Bought the franks hot sauce for .49 n the franks chilli sauce for .09..best bargin yet!!! Thanks ladies for all your tips wanted to share> :)

  • Natalie K.

Cindy, I had a great week at ShopRite this week thanks to you. Can you just answer a question for even more savings? Please, please, please, where can I get the Con Agra Rediscover Family coupons and the Kelloggs Great Days Booklet? Thanks a million! My year to day savings is $2,299.76!

  • Natalie K.

Hey, there was a great deal at my ShopRite on Snapple 12pk for $4.99 a case and there was a peelie on it for $2/ 1 12pk. so I got it for $2.99 each. I bought 2 cases! Just wanted to pass it along so be on the lookout at your ShopRite!

  • Eileen @QponPrincess

waretown shoprite has the reach crystal cleans in the regular toothbrush aisle this time

  • Brandon

I’m not sure why, but I received a checkout coupon for a free Edy’s Slow Churned Shakes or Smoothies (expires in August). I didn’t buy any ice cream products or chocolate product. Not complaining!

    Notes:
    - the $2/1 Johnson’s Face and Body Lotion printable (if included) – item is $7.49 at my store
    - my store did not have the San Georgio Quick Cooks available as of yet

  • staceypunk

What exactly is the catalina for Johnson & Johnson? I couldn’t find detail by clicking shoprite under catalina tab here at LRWC. How many J&J do you have to buy to get the $1 cat? THANKS!

    • Nora

It’s listed in the circular. If you buy one of the Johnson & Johnson products listed in the circular at $2.88, you will get a $1 OYNO catalina. Of course pair the sale price with a coupon. There are a bunch for $1/1 or $3/3! And I have heard you can buy the 3 and 3 cats will print, I have no tried this myself yet but will tomorrow.

  • Alicia

Ok so for the P&G cat, I can buy any products under the brands mentioned right? not just the items listed in the circular?

    • Nuri

Yes, i believe the circular says that enough products from those brands should trigger the Cat.

  • Susan

The Pantene cats rolls. got 4 today and going back tomm. My second transaction was only $1.63 for two. No Reach or Texas Toast in Montgomery :(

  • Nora

Question regarding Johnson & Johnson catalina deal…

Can I use the $1 OYNO cat from the J&J deal towards another J&J purchase, pay the 88 cents and get another $1 OYNO catalina? Is this what is referred to as rolling your cats? TIA

    • staceypunk

Nora: a little late, but so ppl know for next time : yes, you can use the $1 Johnson & Johnson catalina to roll into your next purchase and it will produce another cat. It rolls! Sweet! I bought two in one transaction and got 2 cat’s then 1 in the next transaction (plus other items) used the two cats, and got another $1 cat OYNO.

  • Jen W

Had a great trip at Shoprite today! Used all my catalina’s and q’s with nothing beeping!
