Home Depot: Bounty Basics Paper Towels Only $0.06 Each

Here is an awesome deal that a reader (“Mommy Tool Belt”) alerted me to at Home Depot on Bounty Paper Towels.  The Bounty Basics are on sale for only $0.56 each and the regular Bounty are only $0.70 each.  Plus, you can use the $1/2 Bounty Towels Coupon from the 6/5 P&G insert (limit 4 like coupons per transaction).

My daughter and I planned out the trip and got 16 rolls of the Bounty Basic for only $0.96 for all.

Here is the deal:

Buy 8 Bounty Basics $0.56
use (4)$1/2 Bounty from the 6/5 PG Insert
$0.06 each after coupon

or if you like the regular Bounty Towels, you can do this deal:

Buy 8 Bounty Regular $0.70
use (4)$1/2 Bounty from the 6/5 PG Insert
$0.20 each after coupon

Note: Prices May vary so you may want to call ahead first.

(Thanks Mommy Tool Belt)

I’m not sure if these coupons came from the P&G 6/5…the ones I have are $1.00 one napkins or .25 off one towels….so maybe it was from somewhere else? OR are the P&G coupons different regionally? I was under the impression they were the same everywhere? Either way, awesome deal! Hope someone else has those coupons!

Reply

The coupons were in the 6/5 Proctor and Gamble insert in the newspapers. We got the in Northern New Jersey.

Reply

Amanda June 10, 2011 at 8:41 am

I got a coupon in that ad but it was for off of 6 roll pack :( I hope no one mistakes this coupon for that.

Reply

Kallie June 10, 2011 at 2:26 pm

Ours is the same but also states OR two rolls OR napkins…so it will work on 2 rolls! Also check out Bounty’s Facebook page today – a $5 coupon will be available at some point today – good luck :)

You know, I noticed that price the other day and was like hmmmmm but of course I don’t know what is a “good” price for single rolls bc I never buy them. Thank you for whacking me in the head with it. PS I also have a $1 off 2 rolls from one of the p&g pampers books I got! YAY!

Not sure about the Lowe’s price, but my local Lowe’s price matches.

Reply

Ashley June 9, 2011 at 2:17 pm

It’s hard to price match if it’s not in the AD though. I looked at Home Depot’s ad and it doesn’t show them.

Reply

CreteCouponMama June 9, 2011 at 1:40 pm

My 06/05/2011 P&G had a $0.25 off coupon but no $1/2. Does it vary from state to state what they put in the ads? Also, my Home Depot in IL has them on sale fpr $0.70 and not $0.56.

Reply

Cindy June 9, 2011 at 1:51 pm

The Bounty Basics were $0.56 and the regular Bounty were $0.70 at my store.

Reply

Michelle June 9, 2011 at 1:45 pm

My P&G inserts only have the .25/1 bounty coups. Are the P&G inserts regional also? I bought some city papers and some state papers and the P&G are the same.

Jess June 9, 2011 at 1:56 pm

Just got back from our Home depot… they had the single bounty basic roll marked as .98 so I bought 12 anyways… got to the register and they rang up at .70 each :) They also had Charmin 4 packs of t.p for clearance at $1.20 each and I just happened to have my $1 off 2 coupon :) Total cost $4.45

I ran out of my house when I read this post and just came home with 24 rolls for $1.44! They were perfectly stocked but the cashier looked at me like I was crazy. When I handed him the coupons, he didn’t know what to do with them. Guess they don’t get too many moms shopping with coupons at Home Depot :)

I’m typing this eating some free choc/cherry water ice from ShopRite…it’s so yummy. I got the bounty basics (my Home Depot didn’t have the reg single rolls)–they were on sale for $.70 so they were $.20 after the coupon–8 rolls for $1.60 you can’t beat that…well, Cindy, you did :-) –but I’m still thrilled!

My Home Depot said they have them on sale for $0.70 each.. so the $0.20 each after coupon. It’s a bit of a drive tho… if im gonna go there for 1 deal, might as well plan ahead for some other stores nearby. lol. Thanks Cindy.

mandee June 9, 2011 at 7:50 pm

WHY ARE SOME PPL SOOO RUDE AND NASTY!!! Heres the story I went to the home depot in newburgh ny the basic were $0.70 it looked like a reg sign. so I was happy I have a lot of coupons Thanks to a coupon fairy!!lol but anyway they have like 10 cases on the floor and some in over stock. well I was being a little extreme and I was going to get 42 rolls (I share with all my friends!!!) so I split up my trans actions in to 6 transaction four coupons in each for the first 5 and 1 coupon for the last the store had only a few ppl shopping due to we just got hit with a nasty storm a few mins befor, so I did not see a problem with doing so many, so anyway the girl looked at my coupon and said you can not use these I said yes and read the coupon to her so she called the front end girl over and here we go the lady said no you can only use one coupon per transaction and 4 transactions per shopping trip. I then told her I understand how you are reading it but your not understanding what is means the coupon states one per purchase and 4 coupons per shopping trip meaning 1 coupon per set of 2 towels and a total of 4 coupons per transaction. she said no I had to ring up 2 pay and re-do this 4 times I said ok can I put them in my car and come back in she said no because they would not get credit for them if I did it that way. but I could go to another store and come back in a little bit and do another 4 transactions. can anyone tell me what sense did that make why couldn’t I just go to another reg after going out and coming back in. so I will go back in tomorrow with my friend after I try to find a coupon policy from P&G out lining how to use there coupons. Ok I vented!!

Reply

Anonymous June 9, 2011 at 10:18 pm

42 is a LOT! Just because there was a storm, and only a few people shopping, and you give them away to friends-whatever. It is still a LOT.

Reply

lana June 9, 2011 at 11:23 pm

i hate hate hate hate rude ppl too! sad, but ppl dont understand coupons…
dont let people like her annoy you though!! go get you papaer towels!!!

btw, my hubby works in newburgh ny, on broad st ;)

Reply

Ally June 22, 2011 at 3:54 pm

Omg I live near newbugh in New Windsor too. Only bought 10 though cashier was super nice.

Reply

Stacy June 9, 2011 at 9:06 pm

Just came back from Home Depot (Long Island) A nice man who worked there helped me to locate them, once finding them he scaned them .70 cents..I told him my coupon source ;) LRWC, said they were .56 in NJ, so he told the cashier to take 10% off my order. The cashier examined the coupons for EVER…I asked what was wrong and he said that using the coupon would make them so cheap almost free, I said that is what the coupons are for! He had to call someone over because I just threw him for a loop. Even though it said four like coupons per an order they were hesitant. The second cashier who had come over said people got fired for taking coupons the wrong way. End price was .18 cents a roll, got 12 rolls…WHOOOT Thanks LRWC!!

Chanel June 11, 2011 at 7:00 am

Your story and the last one have me laughing so hard. I hate coupon moments like these. Wait till I get my qs and head to the store. They are going to have a fit. Oh well….it’s worth it to endure a few moments of pain.

Reply

Lianne June 9, 2011 at 9:56 pm

I could only find the.70 rolls in my Home Depot (CT) also but I just went with it–I got 10 rolls for 2 bucks-not too shabby.

Reply

Lianne June 9, 2011 at 9:59 pm

p.s. in my Home Depot the rolls were still packed in a cardboard box–they must have just gotten them in today. My husband just happened to notice the sticker as we passed by. I knew I brought him for a reason!

Reply

Michelle June 10, 2011 at 10:01 pm

Hi Lianne what CT. Home Depot did you go to? I’m also in CT. Where exactly were they in the box? Does anyone know if the sale is over Sat or Sun? Thanks!!!!

Reply

Katie June 9, 2011 at 11:22 pm

I called two Home Depots in my area and both were sold out, but the manager did tell me the sale price was $0.66 a roll, so I went to Walmart and had them price match it – no ad needed per there corporate coupon policy (which I printed and had to give to the manager for verification). But I finally got my paper towels!

Reply

Chanel June 11, 2011 at 7:05 am

Katie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for reminding me about this. I think I’ll just head to Wal-mart. Much easier.

Reply

Melissa June 11, 2011 at 9:38 am

Thank you I was going to price match them at Walmart too but I wasn’t sure if they would do it without the cirucular and I didn’t know for sure what I was price matching.

Reply

Chanel June 11, 2011 at 9:50 am

Question: to price match at Wal-mart, doesn’t the sale price have to be advertised even if we don’t bring a circular? This sale is undvertised….I think. I don’t have a HD circular and I don’t see it in the one online. Do we need to define what an advertised sale is? In other words, do in store advertisements, like signs, etc, count?

Cindy, please chime in if you can. Thanks!

Reply

Cindy June 11, 2011 at 10:51 am

Well, you are not suppose to need an ad but I believe, in most situations, you will need to prove the price somehow and I would imagine the only way to do that is with an ad. I guess you might be able to do it if you took a picture of a sign or something if it had a date on it. Or maybe used your phone to pull up an online price. I think there is a lot of gray area there and may depend on your stores management.

lana June 9, 2011 at 11:25 pm

can some one please tell me if this sale started on the 9th or ended on the 9th??

The Basic were $0.70 a roll at the Home Depot in Succasunna. I got 8 and it was easy.

Reply

Kris June 10, 2011 at 8:10 am

what a rip, here in MN, we only got the .25 off per roll. The charmin, .25 off. we have charmin 4 packs at 1.20 here so that’s a good deal anyway.

I went to Home Depot this evening and was able to get this deal. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and called the HD in Milpitas to confirm they had the Bounty Basic in stock and price. It is on sale at the HD here for .98, but I learned something new today, HD does price matching. So I went to Customer Service told them that stores out of state were selling the Bounty for .56 and they honered that price. I used the $1 Bounty Napkin coupons from the 6/5 P&G insert. Glad I purchased 12 papers on Sunday and I walked away with 24 rolls for .06 each. (BTW the HD I went to had over 200 rolls in stock so there was plenty to go around)

So just call your local HD and ask if they will price match you may get lucky. Thanks Cindy for getting the word out on this deal!

I did the Bounty deal with a twist. I found the individual rolls in the overhead but not on the shelves. The employee at the store (Warrington, PA) offered me the 12 pack for as 12 singe rolls and gave me the sku to give to the cashier. I explained everything to the cashier and she was super nice about it. So I got all 12 rolls at $.20 + tax! She even let me use 6 coupons!

Reply

elaine June 14, 2011 at 9:43 am

great deal.. my home depot had the basics on sale for .70 no .56 but I still bought 12 rolls and I also bought the 4 pack of charmin. They were on sale for 1.30. I used my charmin coupon $1/2 and I paid 1.60 for every 2 packs! I bought 8 packs of toilet paper as well

just wanted to thank you for posting this!! Got A TON of rolls last week!! I work at Home Depot & it never dawned on me what a good price they were, plus here in St. Louis we didn’t get the $1/2 coupon, so for the first time I used a clipping service & am set on paper towels for AWHILE. My store still has hundreds of rolls, & as far as I know so do many others in the area. Thanks again!!
