Spend $20 Get $4.00 Catalina

::Buy $75 Get $25 Gas Deal

Buy $75 in any combination of products from Kraft, P&G, General Mills, Unilever or Tyson and get a $25 Gas or ShopRite** Gift Card.

How it Works:

This deal tracks on your Price Plus card for the entire week through 6/25. So, you can purchase products from these manufacturers in multiple transactions throughout the week. Once you hit the $75 mark, you will get a certificate printed at the bottom of your register receipt. I would imagine this would be similar to the Holiday Turkey offers.

Once you earn your certificate, you pick up a gift card at the gift card display in the store and bring it the register to have it activated.

Fine Print:

Qualifying purchases are calculated BEFORE taxes, bottle deposits or fees, and the face value of manufacturer coupons and AFTER ShopRite store coupons, ShopRite Price Plus club card deductions and any doubled or tripled value of manufacturer coupons.

In the past, offers that have stated the same thing, have worked on pre-price plus prices just like every other offer. But, having said that, I can not guarantee that it will happen with this. Like any kind of deal, we have to see how it goes. The good thing is that since this is tracking throughout the week, we can tell right away how it is working out (as long as it keeps a running total on your receipt).

I have a question – does anyone know if the Helmanns CAT would print as a yourbucks? Last night at shoprite i purchased 2 Hellmans and used 2 internet coupons for $1 off each which stated “only at Shoprite” not sure where I got the coupons from. A $2 Yourbucks OYNO printed but no CAT. I don’t want to contact Catalina if the Yourbucks was for the mayo but it didn’t say thank you from Unilever or anything.

I am still learning I just started about 2 months ago. But I have a question, ShopRite limits 4 like coupons in one transaction. So I have B1G1 coupon for PopChips can I use 4 coupons and get 8 bags or does that mean I can only get 4 bags and use 2 coupons. Im guess I can use the 4 coupons and get 4 bag but I want to make sure b4 I get there. We love Popchips and this works out to a good deal. Thanks

Reply

0246 June 22, 2011 at 10:31 am

That B1G1 coupon means you can put 8 bags in your cart and only hand over 4 coupons; as the store limit is 4 like coupons, that should work out fine for you.

The target site has coupons for Caress body wash, would we be able to use the Target coupon at Shop Rite?

Reply

Kim June 22, 2011 at 5:29 pm

If it says Target only, then you can only use it at Target. If it’s a manufacturer’s coupon, then you can use it anywhere like Shoprite. I’m pretty sure the ones you print for the actual Target site are for Target only.

So confused. Will someone please explain to me how to workout the math for the gas card thing….

Reply

Jeanne June 22, 2011 at 1:05 pm

You have to buy the exact items on the Shop Rite list that qualify for free gas. You have to purchase them all before next Saturday night. They do not have to be bought in one shopping trip. Your receipt will keep track of how close you are to $75. Once you reach $75 in these items only, will you get a printout on your receipt (not a catalina) that says you can pick up a gas card (or a $25 Shop Rite card) and take it to the register and get the card for free. The tricky part is whether your store counts the $75 as with coupons or without coupons. You can see by making a purchase and using coupons and catalinas to see how much registers toward the $75. The next time you make a purchase you will know if it is before or after coupons. I would advise not purchasing all items at the same time. That way you will know exactly how much you have to spend to reach the $75. I have to tell you, this is a confusing endeavor!

yeah. it’s different for every store even though it shouldn’t be. it all depends on where you shop. And some items are tracking and some aren’t.

As I don’t particularly need the items that are part of the gas deal, I’m just going to stop into SR for the great deals I have coupons for, and let the gas deal pass me by. It doesn’t seem like such a great deal to me. I do have charmin and bounty rain checks from last week and the q’s to go with them. So, I haven’t ruled it out entirely.

I would love to see some people post how much OOP it cost them to qualify for the gas deal along with what they purchased. That would be great to look at. I’ve seen people post small trips that will add up to the gas deal. And I’ve seen people say that made the gas deal, but no figures of how much the gas deal cost anyone.

Can we use the Caress body wash Target printable coupon at shop rite?

Reply

Meli June 22, 2011 at 1:12 pm

My Shoprite does not allow coupon stacking. Do the stores choose if they allow stacking? I go to the one in Jersey City and Bayonne.

Reply

Anonymous June 23, 2011 at 8:56 pm

I shop at the one in Bayonne. They only allow stacking 1 of thier store coupons with 1 mfg coupon. Like a few weeks ago they had a store coupon for Carolina rice and I stacked that with a mfg coupon. You cannot use other store coupons at Shop Rite. Now if you are talking about B1G1 copupons being stacked with $off coupons (ex. B1G1 drink and then $.40 off coupons you can only use 1 $.40 coupon, you cant use 2 $.40 coupons on B1G1), the cashiers are very diligent about the coupons they take in. If you are unsure you can ask at customer service.

ethel June 23, 2011 at 10:51 pm

I shop at bayonne too!! so far I have not had any problems using coupons there..but I have not tried stacking coupon though

where can i find the Nesquik Powder 3.9 Stand Up Pouch – $0.99? i went to store last week and couldn’t find such small pouch

Reply

Lady J June 22, 2011 at 1:33 pm

it should be on the shelf where the chocolate syrup and other powdered chocolate drink mixes are. I think it is the same aisle with the coffee and teas, hot chocolates. As they are pouches – they might be lying down in a box (to keep them from falling all over the place). If you still can’t find it – ask at customer service for a rain check (if it’s in the ad). Usually they have the item in the back and will bring it out for you. Problem solved.

Reply

esther June 22, 2011 at 1:40 pm

i don’t see that on the flyer though…

Reply

Lady J June 22, 2011 at 3:25 pm

it may always be the price. you can still ask if they have it at customer service.

Reply

Lady J June 22, 2011 at 1:35 pm

Anyone know if a rain check can only be used at the particular location that you got it from? I’ve never tried this, but now I have a few different rain checks from 2 different SR’s which have 2 different owners.

Reply

kristin June 22, 2011 at 2:17 pm

My experience is that you can use it at any SR

Reply

DENISE June 22, 2011 at 7:03 pm

I asked the rain check question at the service desk and was told rainchecks can be used at any Shop Rite store.

Also, I have a Pampers catalina for $5 off my next purchase of Pampers, can I combine that with a regular manufacture coupon for $1.50 off pampers diapers??

The edge sensitive price is for trial size which the coupon excludes. I found this out at the register when it wouldn’t go thru. Would have been great price!

Hey Cindy, just wanted to let you know that the Smuckers Fruit Spread deal you listed only works on Smuckers Sugar Free. We buy the Low Sugar and those are not on sale this week (or last week either for that matter).

Also I am unable to find Butterball Turkey Burgers at my Shop Rite in East Windsor, NJ. Has anyone seen them in central NJ? I have four coupons!

Reply

Anne June 23, 2011 at 7:22 pm

They were available at the SR in Marlboro as of Sunday.

They were at Lawrenceville , NJ on route 1 as of last night. They didn’t have many — maybe 10 and I bought 2. They were in the refridgerated section. HTH

I shop at the East Windsor store too. Did you ask at CS? I am going either tonight or tomorrow. I’ll ask for a raincheck if I can’t find them. They are usually good about rainchecks there.

Reply

If they don’t have a sale item in stock they have to give you a raincheck. If the store refuses, you need to call Corporate. I have never had a problem getting a raincheck from Shoprite!

I found a deal. In my shoprite the Land O lakes butter with cinnamon was 2 for $5.00. I used 2 75 cent coupons. total price 1.00 each.

Overall today, the first time I shopped in more than 1 grocery store in one week, My total purchases totaled $432.77. with shoprite, stop and shop and pathmark club cards and coupons I paid a total of $231.56. A savings of 4201.21. Almost 50% savings. Not bad for a new couponer.
