I’m keeping my fingers crossed about actually getting the Red Plum inserts this week. I’ve looked through many blogs with people stating that they havent seen them in over 2 months in the Essex, Hudson, Union county areas of NJ. So I hope that changes soon. Anyone has an idea as to what other paper might carry them besides the Star-Ledger?
I live in Union County, I get 1 RP in my doorstep rolled up paper #1-800-376-6222 on Friday’s. I get 1 RP and 1 SS from HomeNewsTribune delivered to my home on Saturday. On Sunday’s I get the Star Ledger delivered with only SS inserts, and I go to one of my neighborhood stores and buy extra HNT’s. I always have to check inside the papers to make sure the inserts are there, many times at different stores people have sticky fingers and steal the inserts. I have actually watched people do it especially at shoprite, they keep a cart near customer service for people to buy the star ledger and one day when i was in line i watched numerous people go in the cart and pull the coupon inserts out. I said something to CS and she just shrugged her shoulders. I feel bad for the people that actually pay for that paper.
I am in essex county and I get them every week. I receive 1 in the Thursday delivered Star Ledger, 1 in the Sunday delivered Daily News and how ever many I want to buy with the Daily News or New York Post.
New York Post usually has both RP and SS. If you live near hudson county pick up the Jersey Journal ON Saturdays
it also has both and it only costs $0.60
oh and you get it on Saturday, leaves you on the last day of most sales but sometimes you can pick some stuff up! Today there’s a $1.00 off Dial coupon, still on sale at rite aid.
I buy my newspaper on Saturday. Jersey journal has all the inserts and they are only 60 cents each…I always buy 4 for $2.40. And today one of my newspaper had 5 ss in it:)

When I looked at the Sunday insert schedule for 2011 it says that on June 12th I should get only SS. Here is the site I have used and I thought it was pretty accurate:

Is this correct or should their also be a RP?
Of course I didn’t get ANY Coupons in my Sat paper so I called and requested another copy. I may need to go to the store and see what they have left …bummer. I hate when I miss out on the coupon inserts.

I posted the RedPlum that is coming out this weekend. I’m not sure what to tell you about that site but there will be a RedPlum this weekend. I already received mine.
Thanks Cindy…normally don’t have a problem with inserts but this weekend I didn’t get them. They are re-delivering my Sat paper tomorrow so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I live in the Philadelphia area and I NEVER get RP inserts. I get a packet of local store weekly ads on Fridays wrapped together by a one page ad that says Red Plum at the top, but there’s no coupons there, just store ads. My mom lives in Gloucester County, NJ and she gets RPs in her Sunday papers. I hate missing out!!!
Hey Jessica I live in Philadelphia also and I get those white bag as well sometimes the guys that put them together forget to put the coupons in one or two of bags..So try checking a neighbors bag if they don’t mind and see if u find it in theres and if so maybe if they don’t use coupons they can give it to you. I always get them on thursday afternoon and 90% of the time the coupons are in it. HTH

So I just came back from the Dollar Tree (Orange County, NY) and once again there were no redplum inserts in The Record. I went to the convenience stores and none of the papers had them. I checked The Post, Daily News and The Record. I’ve noticed this problem the last few weeks. Last week, no one had the P&G inserts, so I missed out on great deals. The only way I get a redplum is with home delivery. Does anyone have the same issues and do you know of a way that I can get these missing inserts? I’d rather have the whole insert than contact a clipping service. This has become such a bummer
Does anyone live in Jersey City, Hudson County, NJ? I’ve been couponing here for four months, and I’m still confused about what newspapers to buy! I was buying the New York Post, but then discovered that the RP and SS inserts in the Record were way fatter. Then the a couple of months ago the Record quit having the RP altogether, like many of you have noticed. I just started getting the Star-Ledger, but that doesn’t have RP either. I heard about the Jersey Journal this week and bought that today. It has RP and SS, but the SS in it is smaller than the SS in the Star Ledger. So, from what I’ve seen I’m going to buy the Journal on Saturdays to get the RP and SS, and then subscribe to the Star-Ledger to get fatter SS on Sunday. Does anyone else in Jersey City have a better way?
I discovered after I posted this that the RP comes in my Thursday-delivered Star-Ledger, if the paper carrier actually delivers it :/
I am in New Jersey and the inserts here drive me crazy!!! I usually get the Philadelphia enquirer if it’s available because it has RP and SS. The Asbury Press usually has both and P&G if available but only if I buy it on Sunday, not the Sunday preview.
Today I got to my grocery store late and they were out of the Philadelphia enquirer so I got 3 Star Ledgers and 3 of the Home News Tribune which usually has both but they are smaller with fewer coupons.
I would love a consistent paper with good inserts!
I am in Staten Island and my Red Plum insert was only 3 pages.. In all my papers. I thought that was very weird. Any one else had that problem?
