Does anyone know if the “organize in style” coupons double? I’ve had a couple of problems with coupons from the manufacturer that start with a five not doubling even though they don’t say it on the coupon. I travel a LONG way to go to shoprite and I don’t want to do it twice.

Reply

Anne July 23, 2011 at 6:01 pm

I dont know what the organize in style coupons are, but if it doesnt say “Do not double” on the coupon and it doesnt double at the register, they can manually double it for you. It will require the key person (I dont know what their official title is lol), but they should oblige without a problem. I have had to do it on a few occasions when my coupons have not doubled, and it only takes a minute.

Kerri July 24, 2011 at 5:42 pm

they’re called front end runners LOL (i’m a cashier at shoprite -_-)

Reply

0246 July 23, 2011 at 6:19 pm

they should double. they’re 5s and don’t say DND, so you should be able to argue the point with the cashier/mgr if you have a problem.

Reply

Mary July 23, 2011 at 8:44 pm

Mine did at Pathmark. Haven’t tried any of them at SR yet.

Reply

Carie July 25, 2011 at 10:31 am

Mine doubled at SR :-)

Denise July 25, 2011 at 12:11 pm

I had trouble with coupons not doubling at my ShopRite. It’s because the coupon now has 2 bar codes on it. If the Cashier puts her thumb over the 2nd Bar Code, the coupons will double. Make sure you tell the cashier this info before she scans it.

It depends on what state your in. I didn’t buy an Entertainment book this year, but I’m in New York & I remember last year Cindy mentioned it being in her book and she’s from new jersey.

hey ruth, you can get them online. right now they are pretty cheap too – shop thru shop at home they had some good deals recently too. the $5 shoprite q’s are the main reason i buy the books!

Cindy, the link for the Kraft Shredded Cheese is no longer working. I am getting the following error:

We’re sorry! This link is no longer valid. Want a lotta savings (& a lotta creamy)? Try getting your coupon on http://www.CookPhilly.com by visiting the Touch of PHILLY product pages. Don’t forget, supplies are limited, so there’s only enough for one coupon per person!

If you go to the link they post you can print a Kraft Shredded Cheese coupon…just printed 2 and they are $1/2 which is what she posted above…

Does anyone know is there are any coupons for the Francesco Rinaldi sauce?? This is my favorite sauce and it’s very hard to find coupons for it. :( Ive tried writing to them and they said they don’t send coupons.

Reply

Andrea July 23, 2011 at 6:44 pm

They are hard to come by but I do find coupons for their “to be healthy” version of the sauce. I usually wait until it goes on sale for .99 then I call and special order a case or two to stock up!
Hope that helps you…it is great sauce…my favorite too!!
Andrea

Reply

Ashley July 23, 2011 at 7:33 pm

I love the ToBe Healthy kind, as well! I just wish there were more coupons for it. I remember there were some in the Live Right books, but I think those are expired. Great idea about ordering a case!

Reply

Ashley July 23, 2011 at 7:34 pm

They are 10/$10 this week.

Reply

Toekneeface July 24, 2011 at 10:29 am

There are $1/2 in the current Giant book which is Giant’s version of Live Right. I forget what the book is called.

Reply

DianeG July 23, 2011 at 7:04 pm

I agree with Andrea. Francesco Rinaldi only seems to have coupons for the “To Be Healthy” variety. I do the same thing, – order a case or two of the “No Salt Added” Francesco Rinaldi when they go on sale for .99. Since no salt Ketchup is so expensive, I doctor up the FR sauce with spices and a little paste to make no salt Ketchup.

Reply

Ashley July 23, 2011 at 7:35 pm

That’s a great idea about making ketchup from it. Never thought of doing that! Thanks for sharing!

Reply

Lynn, does your Shoprite double to $.50 or $.99? My only doubles to $.50 (fairless hills) but some weeks it would be worth it to make the trip to Warminster.

Reply

Jane July 25, 2011 at 8:12 am

My shoprite in bensalem doubles up to $.99 but i work in jersey and there they fully double so i shop there. theres a link on this website for which shoprite doubles .

Reply

Lynn July 28, 2011 at 8:15 pm

@jennypenny: Nope, they do not fully double. So a 0.75 Q only doubles to $1.00. But I guess triple coupon week makes up for all the deals I miss! ;)

Muir glen tomato sauce is .99 cents according to the website. Tomatoes are included according to the posted list.
There was a $1 off one muir glen product coupon on the companies website.

Claire July 24, 2011 at 4:37 pm

I couldn’t find it on sale at my SR in West Chester, PA.

Reply

Heather July 24, 2011 at 4:46 pm

It’s not on sale. It’s regular price. 99 cents for an 8 ounce sauce or tomatoes. According to shoprite.com, they have it in stock.

It IS organic, so it may be in the natural foods section.

HI,
Shoprite in oakland fully doubles up to .99. This store has taken over an old movie theater, so the set up of aisles is a bit odd.
But shoprite in lincoln park doubles up to .99 &&& triples coupons up to .50
That means a .50 coupon becomes 1.50 & a .99 coupon becomes 1.98
Both stores do not double coupons that say do not double. They carefully check each coupon. Rarely do they miss one, even the young male cashiers.
Lincoln park will accept 4 like coupons but has a max of 20 coupons per check-out total. Don’t try two orders, you have to leave the store and come back in. But I save a lot of money shopping there. It’s very friendly, overstaffed & clean.
Happy shopping!!

jersey city, hoboken, and columbia park (north bergen) stores all fully double

Reply

Erin July 25, 2011 at 2:57 pm

Thanks All – I didn’t word it right. I was looking for a store that fully doubles beyond .99c. So meaning a .75c becomes $1.50 and they give you the overages. So if the item purchase is .99cents and I have a .75 coupon I want the extra 51 cents to come off somewhere elese.

I know – wishful thinking.
Wondering where the magic store that does that is?

Reply

0246 July 25, 2011 at 3:01 pm

you have 2 different issues here.

many shoprites fully double. fully double means a 75c off coupon becomes 1.50 off. there is a list on the website of fully double stores.

overage is a whole other thing. shoprites policy is to not give overage, period. some people will find that they can get overage some of the time, but it’s not something you can predict or plan for, as the chain specifically prohibits it. walmart gives overage, if you’re only interested in getting an overage store; they don’t double coupons however.

Reply

Erin July 25, 2011 at 5:48 pm

Ok thanks for the clarification. Bummer about the overages. I’m slowly learning the lingo. Is it posted somewhere on this site which stores do give these “overages” – ie stop and shop, a&p, pathmark etc.

Reply

0246 July 25, 2011 at 6:44 pm

no worries, it gets easier as you learn the language.

really the only store that has a policy of giving overage is walmart. most other stores expressly have policies against it, or else it’s unreliable at best. don’t despair though, it’s entirely possible to do very well couponing without getting overage at all. :)

Reply

Lady J July 28, 2011 at 12:16 am

My Stop and Shops definitely do not give overage. One will not allow any coupons that make an item free. And, at least it seems, that the manager follows sites like this and makes sure they do not put out anything that would be free/close to free after coupon. Whever you normally would see the product, for that week – it is removed, shelf tag and all.

Reply

Redeem at must be redeemed at the store listed. If it said “available at” you can redeem it anywhere

Reply

Anonymous July 23, 2011 at 10:29 pm

I saw it in walgreens this week for one dollar.

Reply

kabby July 23, 2011 at 11:31 pm

Jen.. I redeemed my at Walmart no problem.

Reply

Jen W July 24, 2011 at 10:31 am

Just because a store takes it doesn’t make it “no problem”. You are supposed to use the coupons according to their terms. Redeem at is the place you are to cash it in at. Walmart may not get reimbursed for it, since they clearly aren’t Target…

Reply

kabby July 24, 2011 at 11:17 am

I read the coupon as “can be redeemed at Target” “not redeemable at Target only.”…the coupon was scanned and the computer accepted it…not trying to defraud any company….thanks!

Reply

Kim July 24, 2011 at 11:48 am

That was a “manufacturer” coupon so it’s fine to use anywhere :)

Walmart accepts other store’s coupons. They take Target printable coupons, so why not this one?

Reply

I used mine at Walmart because every Target I checked didn’t have it. It is Walmarts policy to price match/accept competitors q’s, so its fine.

Reply

Jen July 23, 2011 at 10:05 pm

Thanks so much for the match-ups but it seems like there are numbers everywhere now with the sale prices along with the RD and FD. It’s so nice of you to take the extra time to add that in but its also unfortunate that so many people do not read the first part of EVERY match up and realize that you were doing the match ups with double coupons. Thanks again Cindy for all your extra energy!

Reply

Cindy July 23, 2011 at 10:07 pm

Do you think it’s too much? It’s my first time doing it that way and I would rather it not be too busy.

I’m not Jen (er well … I am Jen, but not the Jen that posted this. Funny!), but I don’t think it’s too busy. I thought it was fine the ‘old way’, but then I have a fully double store, so I’m biased, haha!

Reply

Cindy July 23, 2011 at 10:18 pm

I took a survey in my house and they hated it. So, I changed it back. LOL

Reply

Reply

April S July 24, 2011 at 7:33 am

I agree, it must have taken so much extra time to add all that in. The new format doesn’t bother me, I think doing two deal scenarios (one for FD and one for RD) may be too much though, it took me a second to process it. My honest opinion is I think it’s just too much work on Cindy’s part when we know people still aren’t going to read before posting. :)

Reply

Jen W July 24, 2011 at 10:32 am

LOL April!!! I agree with you!

Reply

Jen July 24, 2011 at 1:49 pm

In my opinion, I thinks its too busy. Once again, it is so kind of you to take the extra time out to do this but there were too many numbers and prices to look at. I’m glad your deciding to change it back. Thanks again :)

There is a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser coupon in the Organize in Style magazine as well. 0.75/1 Magic Eraser that doubles, which I believe is also apart of the gas deal.

Reply

Heather July 23, 2011 at 10:23 pm

there are a bunch of mr clean coupons in that book, and it looks to me like they are all part of the deal. The coupons make the cleaners something like .95-$1.10 (I’m not opening everything back up to figure it out exactly right now.) should be a good deal, too.

Hey Everybody,
Just did a transaction at Shoprite here in CT and my gas points I earned was taken from the original price of the items I bought! Good luck!!

Reply

Jess July 24, 2011 at 1:05 pm

Yes!! I just came back from the one in Enfield, CT. I got my gas card, all the gas points were calculated from the shelf price too. I ended up spending about $30 OOP to get the $25 gas card!!

Also Herbal Essences Shampoo is on sale for $2.88. Its part of the gas card deal (shelf price $3.49). When I went there the Herbal Essences Stylers were also part of the sale for $2.88 (shelf price $3.49).

I was able to use :
(2) $1/1 Any Herbal Essence or Aussie Products, (6/12 RP, exp. 7/31) and (2)$3 off ONE Herbal or Aussie styler when you purchase One Herbal or Aussie product, (7/3 P&G Insert, exp. 7/31).

I paid $3.76 OOP and was able to add $13.96 for the gas card deal! Hope this may help someone. Good luck!!

Jess July 24, 2011 at 1:42 pm

i don’t get why the cookie crisp .75 would only double to 1 dollar?

Reply

It depends on your local Shop Rite coupon policy. Here in DE, all 4 Shop Rites only double the value of a coupone up to $1.00. If I have a $0.50 coupon, it doubles to $1.00. If I have a $0.75 coupon, Shop Rite will only double it $0.25, making the total of the coupon + doubling, $1.00.

Hi. I used the Olay Scenario to get the gas card deal. But has anyone filled out the redemption form yet? It asks for the price, so should I put the price after coupon or before. This is my first time ever sending in one of these forms so I just want to make sure I do it right.

Thanks in advance

Reply

Cindy July 24, 2011 at 5:20 pm

You would put the price before coupons.

Reply

Elaine July 26, 2011 at 10:10 am

I did this deal for Olay by itself, and AFTER coupons w/ tax it comes too $49.19. Since I have to submit the receipt I am wondering if they are going to accept it since you have to purchase $50. Thinking i should just go and buy 1 more product to be on the safe side.. Your thoughts????

here is my question i just called shoprite 3 different times and asked them if i put 75 dollars worth of the participating hershey and genaral mills and frito lay and proctor and gamble in my cart then used my coupons for the discount, they told me i have to buy like 100 worth of stuff then minus my coupons, but i have to pay 75.00 for the 25 dollar gas card that just does not make sense to me, i should be anle to purchase 75.00 worth of the product then they take away my coupons and that is the price i pay. i see someone already did it above.

Reply

nuri July 25, 2011 at 8:26 pm

the official policy says that its what you pay + face value of the coupons that goes towards it (but people have been doing even better then that)

so a $2 item with a 50c off coupon
you pay $1 and then 50c of the coupon counts
the 50 cents that shoprite doubles is not supposed to count.

however it seems to be working on pre price plus prices
my suggestion is try it on 1 item at your store, and see how it works

Reply

teresa July 28, 2011 at 3:09 pm

@lisa… despite what the “official policy” is… what IS HAPPENING..is that the retail is going to the gas card… even BEFORE PRICE PLUS… just buy one of the cereals… for instance.. cookie crisp.. then check your gas points.. it will have added $4.00… the retail of cookie crisp… ive been doing this all week… i spent $20 on a $25 gas card.. i used bogos from p&g 7/3 and that helped things along easily.. in total the value of things i bought was over $200… i paid $25… and im working on a second card with my moms price plus… ive spent $17 and have $66 in points…

I was just double checking, and this is the first time my Shop Rite has a different price then the one you use. The 2000 Flushes here in DE is priced at 2/$4. I’m headed up to Jersey later this week and am half tempted to pick it up there, I just don’t like the fact of having to pay sales tax.

Question about how the Gas Card is calculating:

I had a rain check from when the Charmin and Bounty were $9.99 last time. I bought 2 of each and had 1 $1/2 Charmin and 2 $1/1 Bounty. The total before coupons was $39.96 and my receipt says 39.96 towards gas. Is my store going by PPC price, or did my rain check mess things up? It’s cool because I was able to get the 24 + 6 free roll pk Charmin for the 24 pk price. And the paper towels was shopping I was doing for someone else.

Hi, I have a quick question that I’m sure someone here knows the answer to. I had printed out 2 of the Nabisco “save $1.00 on Nabisco cookies when you buy a gallon of milk”. Can I buy 2 of the Chips Ahoy cookies and a gallon of milk and use the 2 coupons? Or do I have to buy 2 gallons of milk? I guess what I’m asking is if buying 1 gallon of milk fulfills the “when you buy milk” requirement on both of the coupons. I think that the coupon actually only attaches to the cookies, but I’m not real sure. Anyone?

Reply

Allison July 25, 2011 at 10:03 am

Each coupon states that, so I would think you have to buy two gallons.

:( My three neighbors and I in southern NJ appreciated the “RD” designations since the FD deals do not apply to us. Thanks for the effort.

Also here in southern NJ, my two stores told me the deal was just for gas cards this time – no substituting for SR gift cards, as in the past. I don’t know if anyone else has ever done that, but both stores said it would not be an option this time. I emailed them just to be sure:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding our “Free Gas” Promotion. We appreciate the opportunity to respond.
I’m sorry but this is limited to gas cards only. If you qualify, you would only receive a Hess, Gulf, Shell or BP gas card.
If we can be of any assistance in the future, please let us know.

Sincerely,

Last time I requested a shop rite card at 2 stores and was told that I could only get a gas card for one of the 4 designated stations. This was in central NJ.

Reply

cheryl manna July 26, 2011 at 9:39 am

Hi guys, I haven’t gotten the $25 gas card yet but am almost there. I re-read the programs definitions and it states that if you do not have one of these gas stations in your area, you can request a gift card. Now I guess the sticking point is the definition of “area”. I do not have any of these stations in my immediate area, but if I am willing to drive 8 miles out of my way in the opposite direction, I can find one. I am hoping for the $25 Shop-rite gift card. That money will be better spent and bring back a better return on my dollars.

Valora July 27, 2011 at 11:27 am

I was able to get a ShopRite card since I had to travel a few miles to the nearest station. Good luck.

I know that a lot of supermarkets are changing their coupon policy to no doubling or limiting the amount of coupons you can use per order. I wanted to see if anyone here would join me in sending emails out to the managers or corporate offices of these supermarkets. We need to let these people know that using coupons has become a way of life because of the economy. They need to understand that without this help many of us would not be able to feed our families.
It might sound a little strange but if the public talks the companies have to respond and if we can stop them from changing all these coupon policies we all benefit from it. I know for a fact that many stores only receive emails when there is a problem not when they are doing something good. Meaning that many do not even realize how much there business might be affected if they stop doubling or limit coupons.
It only takes a minute and if we all did it we might get the results we want.
Thank you,

Toilet Paper 24 = 57 math is crazy. You would have to find out the price at each store, and the amount of sheets per pacake at each store and find out the price per sheet (not roll) to get your answer. I have never done the math comparison with Costo – but I would imagine that SR would be cheaper, especially because it is on sale and you can use coupons.

Also, I wanted to comment that although I sometimes have unpleasant cashiers, this past weekend at the Linden, NJ shoprite my cashier was wonderful, even after she saw all my coupons. I found the Stoneyfield 2% milk there for 99 cents and I had a CAT for $1 off – and when it beeped I pointed out that the milk was for less than the coupon and SHE THANKED ME for telling her and she put it through with no problem, didn’t call her supervisor and was just all around pleasant.

Just got back from Shoprite in Delran for the 2nd night in a row this week, and my experience was so terrible I would be glad to never set foot in there again. Is anyone else having this problem with Shoprite and coupons and being treated like a criminal?
Last night I went to pick up 2 water Ice. I was told that I would only be allowed to use one coupon from the newspaper as it does not scan so it is more than likely fraudulent. (Yes.. the newspaper!!)
Tonight I went with 2 internet printed coupons for water ice and was told that I would not be able to use either of them as they do not scan and must be fraudulent. I ask that they be backed out of my order and got a lot of attitude.
As I was leaving I had another question about my order as the numbers seemed off. (The total ended up being thrown off because the rest of my math was dependent upon the waterice to make a $10 purchase, which is fine and my error I should have had them back out my entire order.) However, when I went to inquire on this the girl that helpped me was talking loudly to another cashier and customers about how she just had to deal with more fraudulent coupons. (REALLY????) Funny enough, yet the cashier she was talking with saw me and said her? I helped her last night with a fraudulent coupon. To which brought me after I was assisted with my ticket to being told that obviously I have a problem with trying to pass fraudulent coupons and to not return to shoprite with any more fraudulent coupons. SERIOUSLY???
Now here is the deal.. the coupons have the new bar code, I explained this to them, the internet and the newspaper ones. I ask when their system was to be updated, she said she didn’t know but all coupons that do not scan at Delran Shoprite (This is what I was told) are considered fraudulent and will no longer be accepted even if it is over the barcode issue.

Diane R. July 26, 2011 at 10:00 pm

They actually said the Luigi’s Italian Ice coupons from the Sunday inserts was fraudulent?!! That is just insane! And accusing you of using fraudulent coupons in front of another customer is nothing short of slander! You should definately contact SR corporate and report that to them. Explain about the new barcode just in case whoever reads your email isn’t familiar with the new codes. They definately owe you an apology, if not more.

I have 5 of the Luigi’s newspaper coupons and was planning on using 4 tomorrow. Has anyone else at any other SR had this same problem?

Alison July 26, 2011 at 10:08 pm

Diane -
I did look up shoprites coupon policy and you can view it here: http://www.shoprite.com/cnt/CouponPolicy.html
As angry as I was about my 2 last visits. If you read the policy especially #7: “7. We do not accept coupons that have been identified as counterfeit and reserve the right to refuse any coupon that appears to be fraudulent. Coupons displaying signs of gang cutting or similar cuts and tears, coupons bearing tape, coupons in mint condition, and coupons bearing sequential numbers may suggest coupon fraud” these cashiers with the attitude about couponers seem to only be acting out and following the shoprite policy to the letter. I never read the shoprite policy until tonight as I checked the coupon policy a while back with the store manager, but after reading the way that policy is worded I understand why I am treated as a criminal and anyone with a non working barcode even if it is due to the system change will likely be treated that way per their policy.

Reply

Alison July 26, 2011 at 10:10 pm

Sorry – I meant #4 ” 4. Use manufacturer-issued Internet coupons that are legible with a valid remit address and a bar code that scans. Internet coupons that have been identified as counterfeit do not scan in our system and will not be accepted. We reserve the right to refuse any coupon for “free” product, “buy one get one free” offers, and those with a high value in relationship to the item’s price.”
It gives anyone that knows the policy including the cashiers an impression that if it doesn’t scan it is fraudulent.

Lovingmynewhobby July 26, 2011 at 10:38 pm

Sorry to hear about that..but i too have had my fair share of run ins with cashiers/managers…and it comes with the territory unfortunately…The nasty cashiers, angry customers behind u, and the rude managers that never explain to the customers what the issue is…they rather talk over you to the cashier in a nasty tone (of course they are directing it towards you)..i would have been outraged had that been me….i would def be contacting someone not only at corporate but a regional manager as well..the nerve of some ppl..

I called the main shoprite number this morning. I was told it is not their problem the employee was just following policy.
They will however send a case file to the Local Headquarters for that store for review. However, it seems like per their policy if it don’t scan it is considered fraud per their cooperate headquarters.
Great Customer Service… NOT!

Diane R. July 27, 2011 at 2:41 pm

Hi Alison, I’m glad you called corporate just to voice your complaint. I have no problem with them not accepting your internet coupons that didn’t scan. That is definately their right. What I found unacceptable was in regards to the newspaper coupon that the cashier and customer service saying in front of another customer that you had used a fraudulent coupon. If they didn’t want to accept it because it didn’t scan in THEIR store, that is fine. If they want to think it is fraudulent in their own minds, fine. But to say in front of another customer that you had used a fraudulent coupon is NOT fine. You are a customer and should be treated with courtesy and respect. That just goes without saying. So that is the issue that corporate should deal with -that you were treated with disrespect in front of another customer. They didn’t seem to address that issue very well. That just makes me so mad! And the coupon is certainly not fraudulent – I used 4 of them today at Kearny Shoprite and all 4 scanned and doubled just fine (I was very relieved!).

Some days couponing is just not easy! LOL

Deanna-

I went to Cinnaminson shoprite tonight. It is huge. I think it may be bigger then the one near my work that is in Ewing if possible!
The produce there is free of scars, mildew and large unrecognizable smashes. (Just picture perfect!)

I got the water ices no problem no questions ask. I mentioned to the cashier that I noticed the new bar code was not an issue there. She said yes their systems are updated. I used 2 printed coupons and 2 newspaper coupons.

I was so in awe of the cleanliness and peacefulness of the store that I bought myself and my husband some Jello temptations even without a coupon as a treat for me trying something new :)

I still love my Pharmacist Mike at Delran. He is the best! But when I go on my nightly shopping runs, the produce and convenience of not being hassled are well worth the drive further down 130 to Cinnaminson!

Thanks so much!!!

I knew I didn’t do anything wrong (I never copy!), and I just let the cashier call over her supervisor, who after looking at the Q’s said to enter manually. I hate when stuff doesn’t work and you feel like a spectacle! But I did get my 4 free packages. I have more from the boxes I might try to use when I get home to my regular store. I had also had problems at Safeway this week with the Brownie Crunch internet coupons – their policy is if they don’t scan, they do not honor. This is the first week I’ve had so many problems! Wish they’d get their systems together!

I then was directed to speak with the “print manager” who did photocopy the coupon policy and was very pleased to give it to me. He also told me that the store did not control the doubling of coupons, but in fact the manufacturer controlled this. He said the coupon limit for like items in 1 transaction is 4, and even though I did only purchase 4, only 2 doubled and he would not give me the difference. HE was not friendly at all and I was extreely frustrated when I left there. I feel like these stores treat customers that use coupons differently and there is no “customer service” involved.

Had a issue with the Luigi’s ice coupons from the internet as well!! I based my whole shopping experience at the Shoprite in Babylon around those ices!!

They told be that the bar code was not scanning correctly and that they couldn’t accept the coupons! Insane! But as a heads up, I have a pack of Luigi’s ices that a bought from a previous trip and it has a coupon printed inside the box for .50 cents off and NO EXPIRATION DATE! So, I’m going to use that coupon instead! They better not give me a hard time about that!

I did end up getting my tabasco sauce & honest ice tea for free. I also noticed that the skintimate coupon (either the $1.50 off or the .75 cents off) will work on the travel size at Shoprite, it does not state a size, so you can use it! The price is $1.49 for the travel size. I got four of them! Made up for the ices I didn’t get!!!

i shop in Wayne shoprite. so far no problems really. shelves are usually full except for sunday night, monday…. no problem doubling…have had some great cashiers…and i’ve had to wait a little for the very young (but nice) front end supervisor to “approve” the internet q’s . he comes over w/ his very importan binders containing fraudelent q’s. but so far no problems at all w rain checks and etc…however I have been going there 3-4 times a week for 8 years now. I know a few by name….sad really. i see them more than my family members…hahhahahah!!!

but this store does NOT double fully…only to free…so no overages. there was one point when they would only allow 1 item if there was a q that made it free but that was over ruled within a week. i’m thinking they heard enough crap from customers…

I used 4 Internet and 4 newspaper coupons on the luigis in the same transaction.

Since they have different bar codes on them.

The manager at first said no. But once I showed her the different bar codes there was no problem.

If they were for the same dollar value, they are like coupons and their policy states 4 like coupons per transaction. If they were different amounts, then that’s different and they are not “like” coupons.

nuri July 27, 2011 at 10:37 am

i don’t agree. if a coupon has a different bar code, to me it is not “like”

FYI,
Totinos Party Pizza – Sausage were on sale for $.99 each vs. the $1.50 that the other varieties were – and they count towards free gas.

Also, I just got a $2.50 bounce bar coupon from VocalPoint, so check your email.

Just hit shoprite in Poughkeepsie and they had the Jennie O turkey burger packs (lots and lots of them) on sale $1.49! I didn’t have a q (was intending to buy the butterball ones that i had seen on sale earlier in the week and got the Q in All You) but seriously a nice price!

I got a couple of boxes of Luigi’s Real Italian Ice and my son notice when he open one of the boxes that it had a coupon for 0.50cents inside, so please don’t forget to check inside your box !!

I don’t know if anyone else posted anything about the johnsonville brat burger coupons, but it isn’t meant for the sausage links. The picture on the coupon shows the Brat burger or the Italian brat burger…..i guess if its an employee who doesn’t care it will work. i tried using that a few weeks ago when the links were on sale with no dice. The 3 shoprite’s near me dont even carry the burgers. There $6.99 at walmart. FYI

Hi,
I am fairly new to couponing, but I have been going once or twice a week for the past 2 months. Today in SR I had a printed coupon from the computer for .$75 off which should of doubled to $1.50 but now I was told that SR does not double printed coupons… R U Serious, I did it last week, but I guess this is something new, so I was really upset with their changes, because this never happened to me before. I am about to stop shopping here altogether because this is crazy. One day yes, and the next no. Just thought I would fill everyone in on this new change, so they say..

Really need some more luigi’s ice coupons. Don’t see them on red plum. What zip code should I use? Are they out of prints? Does anyone know anywhere else I can print them from?

Reply

Alison July 27, 2011 at 9:15 pm

We printed ours out Sunday night and Monday morning my husband told me he was unable to print them from work. Perhaps they only allow so many prints?

Reply

Lady J July 28, 2011 at 12:10 am

One of my friends printed last night. Another one of my friends tried to print today, but the coupon wasn’t anywhere to be seen on red plum. I hope these reset.

Eeeek. Shoprite is getting worse and worse every time I go.
I had my target manufacture coupon for the free peanut butter to go pack; and the cashier refused to take it because (my fault here, maybe) i just tore the post card in half and didn’t cut the coupon. She saw how it said (not on the coupon!) redeem at your local target. I tried to explain to her its 1. a manufacture coupon, 2. does not state anywhere on the coupon that i must use it at target and 3. target by me does not even carry this product. The managers also said they wont take it, ughh… frustration. Normally I would just say okay but for some reason today this cashier already had it out against me… I also had other coupons they refused to take (from the sunday paper) she said they were cut strangely ( i use a paper cutter to save my hands from clipping with scissors) I tried to ask her what was so strange about them.. she was unable to tell me.. I asked for a manager once again!

Manager said these coupons were fine, and she said I could use them! thank god.. then when she rang them up, she hit do not double and i noticed it immediately when all of my coupons were not being doubled. I asked why and she said because she’s already had an issue with me today already….
That was the last straw for me, i asked for all my coupons back (which she was hesitant to even give me back) and walked out of the store. Left my ice cream and all on the belt.

Now let me just tell you, this is NOT the first time I have had an issue with this particular store. Numerous times they tried to tell me my coupon was expired because I wanted to used them on the expiration date! Many many times they tell me I can’t use particular coupons because it does not match the item show (for example… colgate coupon for any colgate 4oz product, picture shows 2 specific ones, they want me to buy the ones shown) also anything that says its for a free item they really are hesitant to take even if it is direct from the company, like a panteen coupon i had a few weeks ago from them directly. They said it looked fake because it had a foil expiration date. Another time, a cashier said my coupon was not for the pictured item (but said any product over 16oz wyb another product, the product pictured was the one they wanted you to buy) she refused to apply it, had not even scanned it, i asked for it back and she refused and said no because i would try to go to another register to use it……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Some days I just wish I could shop like regular folks and not walk down an aisle calculating the sales with my coupons in my head. =/

ps. I already contacted shoprite main HQ and the company who owns the shoprite I go to.. neither cared or were even a bit empathetic of the situation.

Wow, can I ask which Shoprite this is? I have only ever used “available at Walmart” coupons at my store, but they have taken them. The cashiers have recently started to really look hard at the coupons before they even start my order, so I guess they have been getting too many bad ones.
They still don’t know as much as they should about coupons and how to use them, even their head cashiers and managers don’t seem to know. They need to take a LRWC class.
Unfortunetly, individual stores can do whatever they want to.

The Shoprite in Brick. Luckily there are nearby Shoprites I can go to.

I have shopped in Brick with no problems, however there is one older man cashier and he doesn’t understand coupons at all! I stay clear of him, they normally keep him near the podium that’s how bad he is with them!

I bought Honeycomb Cereal on sale last week and there were 5 coupons:
1/1 any one Glad, gladware, glad food bags, clingwrap or press n seal.
1/2 Bic stationary products
1/2 packages of Goldfish crackers or Goldfish grahams
