Don’t forget about the current Cat for Yoplait. Did it this morning. Buy 20 get $2.00 off your next order.

  • Jeannette

Any idea why the instant savings never works when you use coupons (other than the fact that their systems are weird to begin with)? The cashiers always says its b/c of the coupons, but no where does it state that you cannot use coupons in conjunction with any instant savings deal! Its just annoying.

  • Michele A.

I think it’s just the store you go to because I go to about 4 different S&S and never have that problem. In fact, I even get overages. Sorry. Maybe you can find another store to see.

  • Kristi

    Hey Cindy,
Is the cereal deal correct? Should it be like this = If you buy 4 at $2.50=$10 -4.50 instant savings = $5.50 – 4.00 (if coupons fully double)= $1.50 + the catalina for free milk. Am I looking at this wrong?

  • Dana

Last time me and my mothe went shoping for the cereal, we got the catalina but not the instant savings. We went to customer service and after 15 minutes of the woman staring at the receipt, she gave us the $6.00 in cash. She didn’t put up a fight over the coupons.

  • Dana

mother* shopping* (I think I need another cup of coffee)

  • An

I have noticed that their registers are programmed similar to Walgreens – in that you cannot have more coupons than items you are buying. And their instant savings and reusable bags credits count as a type of coupon. If you contact customer service – they can correct it. Cashiers are usually no help.

  • Christina

    Thanks!

  • Michael

my stop & shop doesn’t double coupons (occassionally there’s an ad and they’ll double up to 3) so the deals are never as good as the ones posted on the site :(

  • Jeannette

Oh I see…I wonder if that is why it only happens with certain instant savings deals. This happens at both store in my area.

  • http://mydailyswag.com Loretta

maybe your getting gas rewards instead?

  • heather

I did the St.Ives deal as listed with one tresemme product and 6 body washes, it did not take off the 5.00 instantly for me. I had 6 st ives 75 cents off coupons which all doubled to 1.50 and 1.00 off for the tresemme, I guess it takes it off after all coupons are applied and the 15.00 is reached.

  • Annabelle

Has anyone else had coupons scan for a different product? This week at Stop & Shop I had 3 Meow Mix coupons that scanned as some kind of hot spicy queso and the Land O Lakes $1/1 was for a different product as well. I must have had at least 10 coupons that did not scan for the item indicated but for some other kind of item. And these were coupons from the inserts, not internet printables.

  • susie

Wahoo… scored some free chocolate milk! Thanks Cindy!

  • Patricia

It s a catalina for $4.50 that prints out after your order is complete not instant savings. The catalina is for milk.

  • Dominique

I did the cereal deal. I also got a CAT for $2.00 off any 5/General Mills cereals. This could work well toward more cereal in this week’s deal when combined with other coupons.

  • Heather

When I printed the Goldfish coupons a week or so ago they were for $.055/1 so I go them for an even better price.

  • Anonymous

The instant savings should come off when u use the coupons, I always seem to have a problem when they take the bag refund off then I see the savings taken away, I am now going to a different store and am not having any problems, it is the computers they are using they are trying to update the couponing for the registers I talked to someone in corporate a few weeks ago when I had a problem with a sale/ coupon I wanted to use

  • Kristi

Patrica- oh, gotcha – thanks! Dang, I wish my flyer would come in the mail already. Appreciate the info. A $4.50 catalina is great too!!

  • LindsayG

has anyone tried the instant savings with the st. ives and tresemme products? Is it going off the shelf price or sale price… Im looking to pick some up today.

  • Sallie

I think something is wrong with the scanners. Ladtmight the woman ahead of me had a $1 off dog food coupon scan for $13.25!!! The manager couldn’t fix it so she gave the woman the $13 off!!

  • Jess

pea pod has goldfish for 1.20 & they take coupons!!

  • Miranda

I was also wondering about the shelf price vs. the sale price.
You listed the Edy’s ice cream deal based on shelf price but I would think it would take the sale price and in that case you would need to buy 4 ice creams to get the deal. But then you could use 2 coupons. Am I right on this or totally off base?

  • Cindy

Stop & Shop is a very unpredictable store with deals but usually, the catalina deals do work on shelf price.

  • Tara

What am I missing? I don’t see in my flyer the Buy x Save x instantly this week?

(I.e. on the Kool Aid bursts….my flyer has them 10/$10, but doesn’t say anything about an instant savings)

    Thanks ☺

  • JR

I was equally confused, Kristi. Above it does say, “$4.50 off AND a Gallon of Milk on Your Next Purchase.”

  • JR

    Tara,

I’m betting you have gas points on your back page. Those of us who have gas points don’t get the instant savings.

    Stupid, stupid gas points.

  • Cindy

It is worded a little different but it’s Buy 4 and get up to $4.50 off a Gallon of Milk on your next purchase. So you are just getting a catalina for free milk.

  • JR

Understood, Cindy. In fact, they’ve had this deal in the past, so I was only momentarily confused. The way you have it above, though, isn’t just worded different; it’s incorrect. The “and” shouldn’t be where it is. You might want to correct it.

  • Cindy

Ah, I see, I didn’t notice that I wrote it like that. Gotcha….I fixed that. It was confusing.

  • JR

    ;-)

  • Miranda

I agree the gas points are stupid. My closest station is in the opposite direction. And is always the highest in the area to begin with. So its not even worth trying to get gas points. I would be running out of my way to get the gas and be paying what I pay anywhere else=no savings. I think in areas like this, they should do instant savings instead.

  • Jess

Our S &S has gas points in New Paltz, NY. There is only 1 gas station that you can use them at and it’s always $.05 more than every other gas station in the area. I miss instant savings.

  • Melissa

OK, I have a question. The Scotch Gem dispenser tape is technically Magic Tape. In early July sites were listing the Gem dispenser Magic Tape as “free/very cheap” deal at Target with the $1.00 PDF coupon. But the picture on the coupon is of the plain green Magic Tape packages. Does anyone remember having trouble with Target or other stores accepting this one?

If it’s usable as $1.00 of any Magic Tape, then if you still have the PDF coupon, there’s a good deal to be had on the tape: Buy eight of the Gem tapes, pay $7.92-(4) $1.00 coupons=$3.92 OOP. After the $3 Cat, you’d have 8 rolls of tape for $0.92. Am I right? Check your download folders for that coupon PDF–I think it came via email sometime in June.

  • Jeannette

No, we get the instant savings. For example, I did the Tresemme deal, buy $15 get $5 instant…discount was readded once I scanned the first coupon. I was at self check out, so the cashier just took my coupons ($5 worth) and gave me $5 back.

  • Lisa

Can anyone confirm the Eddy’s…do you need to buy 3 or 4 (Shelf or sale price)? I know with other deals at my SS it was based on Sale Price. Thanks

  • 0246

a cat like that (off specific items) is a MFR coupon, so you can’t use it with other coupons.

  • Amanda

Edy’s is 5.29 PSP at my Stop and Shop, not 4.99. In this case can get two large Edy’s and one Edy’s shake or smoothie for 1.79. Total shelf price 5.29+5.29+1.79 = 12.37, sale price 3+3+1.79 = 7.79 – $1/2 Edy’s SS 6/12 = 6.79 get $4 oyno. No, I did not do this deal yet. Did anyone?

  • Beth

DenTek Flossers 10/$10. FREE after $1 off coupon.

  • Dee

Guess I missed out on the Cinnamon Toast Crunch coups too.. Only $1 off of 3. :(

  • Blair

Hi just wanted to point out that you can’t use 2 coupons for the goldfish BOGO. So 2.40- doubled .35 coupon =1.70. So actually 0.85/per goldfish box. Too bad!

  • angela

Hi there, went to stop n shop earlier today and wanted to let you guys know that my sns is going with shelf price for the ice cream cat, I bought 2 Edy’s ($5.79 reg retail and one small ice cream cup –which is also part of the cat (reg retail was $1 something not sure on the exact) and I got the $4 cat off my next purchase. I also had goldfish coupons for $.55 (not sure when I printed them) and I used all 4 and didn’t have a problem, so I paid around .65 per bag of goldfish, not bad.

  • angela

I did earlier today and it worked for me..no problem

  • maria

I cant find the Splenda coupons in 7/31 SS am I looking in the wrong place or maybe its just regional?

  • Ralph

Why does the Silk Coconut Milk coupon work for the Silk Soymilk sale?

  • Mark

I believe all of them are on sale(Almond, Soymilk, Coconut). I purchased the Almond Silk Milk and it was on sale. I no longer have the coupon, but I believe it was for any Silk half gallon.

  • Holly

Why can’t you? New coupon policy?

Also, the math on the goldfish doesn’t add up…or is it just me?
    2@$2.40-.35(.70 doubled)-.35(.70 doubled)=$1.00, which would be .50 each

  • hanna

My area, many different gas stations and the one S &S contract for the gas point happen to be the most expensive one. Cash and credit card get different pricing (about $0.10) and there is a max cap of
$50.00 not a full tank. With gas price being high, $ 50.00 doesn’t fill up my mini van. It’s useless and this driving me away from going to S & S for main shopping even store is 3 min away from here.

  • christine

Does anyone know how many times I can do the edy’s icecream I want to purchase about 9 of them, only if I get catalina each time…kids loves the Edy’s but wont do the sale 3 times if not going to get catalina….thanks

  • christine

    me too

  • christine

I don’t see that catalina listed under Cindy’s list of available catalina.
Are you sure it’s still working?

  • Diana

Just read it next week the Jiff to go will be on sale 3 for 5 ,but my problem is that I got a free coupon for 1 jiff to go and stop and stop did not took it the last time I tried.Target gave out the coupon but it says manufacture coupon on it.She said Stop and Shop won`t take competitors coupons.Don`t know what to do,my target does not sales them.Any ideas?

Sooo excited went to (monroe, NJ) s&s this morning to take advantage of the clorox, and smuckers deals. Also planned on getting brownies and the Garnier shampoo & conditioner that were on sale 2/5, but found they also had the styling products 2/5 AND they were on an instant savings. Buy 4 get 3 off! I used (2) $1 off any shampoo or conditioner and (2) $1 off any styler = .75 each!
    My final haul was
4 clorox bleach, 5 smuckers,2 pilsbury brownies, shampoo, conditioner, mousse, and hairspray all for $7.61 OOP

  • Julie

Ladies (and gents), I have a question to pose to you. I live in an area that has a Shop Rite and Stop and Shop right next to each other and I’m torn on which super market to commit to, since I don’t want to go to more than one each week. I’ve been going to Stop and Shop because it’s a bit smaller and more manageable, I like their store brand products, and I strongly prefer Boars Head lunch meat which they carry and Shop Rite does not. But everyone says Shop Rite has better deals. Does anyone know from experience whether this is true, to an extent that it would merit going there rather than Stop and Shop? I’d appreciate anyone’s opinion on this. Thanks!
