Cindy,

I didn’t find the skintimate at that zip code does that mean its NLA or do i need to find another zip code?

Reply

Cindy September 3, 2011 at 4:41 pm

Yes it probably is. There have been so many changes the last few day. I’ll update that.

Eileen September 3, 2011 at 7:26 pm

Try my zip code….08088. It was there.

For some reason, I can’t get this to add up. Is this correct?

Deal Idea:
Buy 5 Ivory Bar Soap 3 pack $0.99 each
Buy 3 Dove Men+Care Body Wash $5 each
-(5)$0.35/1 Ivory Coupon
-(3)$1/1 Dove Men+Care Coupons
Pay: $11.19
Get a $5 ECB
$0.77 each after coupons & ECB

When I do it I get:
$19.95 before coupons
$15.20 after coupons
$10.20 after Ecb and $1.28 each, unless you count the bars individually instead of in the 3 pk, which would then be .57 each.

Larrina September 3, 2011 at 11:32 pm

I got the same as you.

Reply

Meli September 4, 2011 at 8:21 am

I was thinking the same thing. If all i need is $15 i rather get 5 ivory and 2 body wash. Has anyone figured this out?

Reply

Holly September 3, 2011 at 5:54 pm

Also, the carefree link doesn’t seem to work. It takes you to the page but then when you click either the sample or the send coupon, it redirects you to another page that is similar and it also does the same thing…one big circle. I tried to register but couldn’t either.

RoseAnn September 4, 2011 at 4:17 pm

I just tried it and had no problem, I registered and clicked on send coupon and I was able to print the coupon twice. You might want to try it again, hopefully you will have better luck

Loretta September 5, 2011 at 8:52 am

i had no issue either

Holly September 3, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Sorry for all the posts but what $1/1 coupon in this transaction are you referring to? Is it from the machine or online?

Deal Idea:
Buy 2 Orbit 14 ct $1.49 for both
-(1)$0.50/2 Orbit Coupon
-(1)$1/1 CVS Coupon
2 Free after coupons

BTW thanks so much for the match-ups!

Reply

Tina September 3, 2011 at 9:43 pm

The $1/1 CVS Coupon is from the CVS red box machine in the store. You need to scan your CVS card at the machine and it will generate CVS coupons. Remember to scan multiple times until the machine tells you to come back tomorrow.

Every single day last week I scanned my card and got $1.00 CRT for Orbit gum. Combined with the $0.50/2 coupon free gum next week.

Reply

Holly September 4, 2011 at 8:40 am

I found that later on another post and remembered I scanned my card the other day so looked through my stash and woohoo! Coupon!

Thanks!

Reply

Julie September 6, 2011 at 7:53 pm

I was able to use two $1 CVS coupons to get the gum free–plus .50 towards my next item!

how to get the coupons for which links r not available… like SS or GM or RV….

Reply

they’re from the smart source, red plum, or proctor & gamble insert from the week listed (the date following the abbreviation). if you don’t have those inserts, you can find the coupons on ebay if you really need them.

Hi Cindy,

Where did you get the coupon for the Physicians formula make up?

Reply

mary September 4, 2011 at 10:49 pm

FYI, I just came from my CVS in Beach Shopping Peekskill. There are $4.00 coupons on Physician Formula Makeup, Mineral Wear powder. They are $13.79, used $4.00 coupon and got $7.00 ECB. Then bought another powder, used $4.00 coupon and the $7.00 ECB. paid $2.79

Hi,
The Excedrine 100 ct. is over $10 at my store. Went this morning and had them double check, so scan and price check before you buy.

Had problems with the skintimate coupons this morning. The register wasn’t scanning the manuf or cvs ones. A manager had to override them all and put in manually. They gave them to me but boy what a process it was.

Reply

Heather September 4, 2011 at 2:03 pm

I had no problems.

Reply

kathy September 4, 2011 at 2:53 pm

I had to pay $.99 for it. The cashier told me that two coupons are the same (even one is stated CVS’s and the other is manf), and she can only take one

Reply

D September 5, 2011 at 1:58 am

you should look at the barcodes. Manuf. ones start with a 5 or a 9. CVS ones are different…they should have taken both – try calling or emailing CVS corp. :)

Reply

Blair September 5, 2011 at 9:52 am

Same thing happened to me. Paid 0.99.

Reply

Corine September 5, 2011 at 9:45 pm

Same thing with me. My CVS store manager said that although the CVS coupon clearly said CVS, that it was a manufacturer’s coupon and they couldn’t take two of them. I argued for a couple of minutes then just gave up! I ended up leaving with nothing!

Dawn September 6, 2011 at 7:09 pm

I would make them call corporate. Every manager has another manager to tell them to approve it. At the very least she should be writing you a rain check and attaching the coupons to it so when you do come back after its resolved they are honored…

i just printed a cVS only coupon off nternet (Colgate optic white) and it starts w/ a 5….does that mean the deal Cindy sated for the Optic white will not take the Manu and the CVS coupon….again….?

hi I did not see the swiss ice tea in the flyer and when I was at CVS this morning they said hey do not carry it. Is it a regional deal or should I check a different store

Reply

Jaime September 4, 2011 at 1:34 pm

Huggies wipes with Shea Butter (64ct) are on clearance for $.82. No sign, look for the yellow boxes and check the price! Only paid $.32 each after using $.50 Huggies wipes coupons!

Danielle Wilson September 4, 2011 at 2:51 pm

I too did not see the Swiss Tea in my flyer and went to 2 stores and they don’t carry it. Just checking to make sure it was a deal for CVS?

P.S. The magic machine gave me a coupon for free Milky Way or Dove Bar!

Here is a screen shot of this week’s ad scan with the Swiss Tea. Some items may not be in all areas so that may be the problem. http://www.livingrichwithcoupons.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Screen-shot-2011-09-04-at-3.41.31-PM.png

Ok, so Swiss Tea is not in ad here in Atlanta. In Chicago it is in ad for gallon size @ $1.99.

I went to CVS this morning and bought 8 cans of the Progresso soup and got 8 cans free, with my coupons $1/4 (x2) it worked out at $1.37 a can. That worked out better than if I had bought it at the McGuire Commissary. I also found some really good 75% off deals. They are trying to get rid of their summer items. I bought an Igloo 12 qt cooler for $4.99 and a Sportscraft Ladderball game also for $4.99. I bought the plastic outdoor end tables for about $2.25 each, and just some random summer items ie: water ballons, super soakers and such at a very low price. I’m sure these items will go quickly, but wanted to pass them on.

I was told the same thing about the skintimate. Even though it said CVS Pharmacy on the coupon, it is still a manufacturer’s coupon. The find print says to mail the coupon to Energizer to get the coupon value plus 8 cents handling fee. So, I wasn’t able to use both.

I didn’t see a BOGO Hershey’s Air Delight Bar Coupon in the 8/28 SS? Was that a regional? I am in NJ.

Reply

RoseAnn September 4, 2011 at 7:53 pm

I’m in NJ and I received it

Reply

Jules September 9, 2011 at 8:51 pm

I am in NJ as well in Marlton , however my coupons sometimes vary greatly from some of those North Jersey gets, and even my grandmother who shares her circular with me has slightly different ones, and she is only 20 minutes away!

If anyone is interested, physicians formula has three ‘try me’ rebates on their website, so with the ECB & the rebate, its a possible money maker. I bought a mascara and the lash booster, I think the third rebate was for powder. Just passing it on for everyone.

I don’t know if anyone posted this already, but I scanned my card at the ECB booth and got a $3 off $15 or more baby purchase.

Corine September 5, 2011 at 9:43 pm

I was very disappointed that my CVS wouldn’t let me use the CVS coupon for the skintimate product along with the manufacturer’s coupon (from SS). I told the manager that one was a CVS coupon( which clearly said CVS) and she said that I couldn’t use both coupons.

Reply

Lovingmynewhobby September 5, 2011 at 11:41 pm

i guess i wasnt the only one that was told that you couldnt use both the CVS and manuf. q’s for the same product when it came to the skintimate shave creams…CVS customer service used to be good at handling these situations…not living up to the quality service I remember receiving from them

Reply

Lisette September 6, 2011 at 12:33 am

My skintimate coupons beeped at the register. Cashier turned her screen to me to show me that it wasn’t allowed. I didn’t want to argue since the system wasn’t pulling it through and an override seemed like something alien to them.

Danielle Wilson September 6, 2011 at 11:58 am

Just got back from my skintimate search. 3 cvs stores later I finally found one with some in stock. I had no problem with the coupons and my total was .13! I always give them the CVS coupons first then my manu. coupon. I have occasionally had a few problems with coupons, but that’s when I kindly step aside, call the 800# and let them set the store straight while I wait!

I tried to scan through the other posts to see if anyone else is mentioning this, so I apologize if it’s been addressed somewhere else. Today I went to my CVS to buy the skintimate cream shave. I have two 1.50 coupons printed from smartsource that I’ve been waiting to use. I was told by the cashier that I couldn’t use them because corporate sent a memo stating they could no longer accept printed coupons from smartsource. Has anyone else encountered this? I planned on paying one dollar for both and ended up paying 4 dollars (other shoppers were behind me and I didn’t want to cause a problem). I left feeling angry, and I’m going to return them at another time.

Btw, Cindy, thank you for everything you do! You have changed the way I shop and have saved me a lot of money.

Penny P. September 6, 2011 at 7:11 pm

Sorry, I just found your august post addressing this situation. I should have looked back further before posting :)

Dawn September 6, 2011 at 7:16 pm

SmartSource sends out a list of coupons that have been produced as fraud. The individual stores (or corporations) misconstrue or broaden these messages and to prevent loss to them they just don’t accept ANY of that brand coupon…It would be much better if they would post the list of fraudulant coupons to compare to, but heaven forbid the line get backed up waiting for couponers to have their coupons checked…
