Help with Hurricane Irene

Community Foodbank of New Jersey has just released information on ways to help those in need after Hurricane Irene.  Many of the items they are requesting donations for are items that we have gotten for free so you will probably already have them in your stockpile.

Here is how to donate:

Looking for these food items:

  • Cereal; Peanut Butter; Jelly (no glass); “Meal in a Can” (soups, stews); Canned Meats (tuna, chicken, ham); Canned Vegetables; Canned Fruits; Pasta; Pasta Sauce (no glass); Rice & Canned Beans

The public can drop off these food items at the following locations (please refresh your page as new sites continuously added):

  • The Community Foodbank of NJ warehouse: 31 Evans Terminal, Hillside (Daily 9:00 am – 3:00 pm)
  • WDHA: 55 Horsehill Road, Cedar Knolls (Mon-Fri, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm)
