Reader Tips & Deals

Here is a list of deals & tips that I received in my inbox or through comments.

::Box Tops for Education

Reader Kellie found this great Catalina offer from 9/4 – 9/24 through Betty Crocker. They are offering 15 bonus box tops if you purchase any 4 participating Betty Crocker Baking Mixes in the promotion. I believe that this was for ShopRite but I believe it is happening at various stores

::ShopRite Calender: Simply Kosher

Reader Kellie wanted to let us know about the new ShopRite Calender that came out for September – December called Simply Kosher. There are 21 coupons on products for the Jewish Holiday season, and some great kosher recipes too!

::Target: Back to School Clearance

Reader Emily found some great deals at Target for some clearance back to school items! She found Notebooks for $0.05, Pens for $0.50 and scissors for $0.37! She was in Waterford, CT, so check out your Target to see if you get the same great deals!

::Ebay Giftcards

Reader Laura has a pretty neat strategy for saving money using Ebay. If she knows there is a restaurant or store that she is planning on going to then she checks Ebay for gift cards. She usually can find them for sale for less than the value they are worth! Ebay also offers Ebay Bucks which is a percentage of cash back to use toward a future purchase (or more gift cards!). That is a great tip to save some more money!

    What is the calendar? Is it free? I asked customer service at my local Shoprite about shop rite coupon books. She said she’s worked there for a year and had never seen a shoprite coupon book…? I’m new to grocery couponing (been drugstore dealing for about six months), but I’m pretty sure that is inaccurate based on the number of shop rite books i see posted about online! Can i request one in the mail? Are they regional? I’m in MD, where a .75 coupon only doubles to $1, so i really hope not. Thanks
