NJ Happenings: Fall and Pumpkin Festivals

For New Jersey Residents:  Here are some free and/or inexpensive family activities for this weekend.

  • Saturday, 10/15: Fall Festival in Summit. Celebrate fall with pumpkin decorating, a petting zoo, rides, games and more. 11am – 3pm. This event is free.
  • Saturday, 10/15: Pumpkin Festival in Cape May.  Enjoy games, pumpkin and face painting, craft and food vendors, a haunted barn and more. 10am – 4:30pm. This event is free, canned goods donations are accepted. Click here to find out more.
  • Sunday, 10/16: Pumpkin Patch at the Turtle Back Zoo in Orange. Enjoy music, arts & crafts and learn about bats. All kids receive a free pumpkin! 12-5pm. Click here to find out more.

    October 15 & 16 The 28th Annual Cranberry Festival in Chatsworth, NJ FESTIVAL HOURS: 9am to 4pm
    The Cranberry Festival is a celebration of New Jersey’s cranberry harvest, the 3rd largest in the United States, and offers a tribute to the Pine Barrens & Local Culture.

    The main attraction is the diverse showing of many artists & craftsmen,
    some of which will also be demonstrating their crafts as well as displaying them for sale.

    Admission to the festival is FREE. A donation of $5.00 will be accepted if you use our highly recommended parking area at the school located off of Second Street.

    5K Run/Walk & Music Festival Something for everyone so come down and support our Local Merchants & Residents affected by the Hurricane.

    Race Information:

    Time: 9am Registration/Check in
    Race Starts at 11am

    Race Fee: $35 (includes Tee Shirts, Awards, Gift Bag. T-shirts will be guaranteed if registered by October 10th 2011

    National Park school is having it’s Fall Festival, There will be a craft show, lots of activities for the kids and food for all. from 9-3

    Elmer Harvest Day in Elmer tomorrow from 10-5.
    Craft Vendors, Food Vendors.
    Sales at local businesses.
    Vendors usually set up on Broad Street,
    and State Street. Also a lot of Vendors will
    be set up at Dodges Market on Route 40.
    Hay rides, Fire truck rides, music, and so much!
    Always a great day for family fun!!!!
