NJ Happenings: Pet Parade, Morris County Heart Walk & Fall Festival

For New Jersey Residents:  Here are some free and/or inexpensive family activities for this weekend.

  • Saturday, 10/8: 7th Annual Pet Costume and Parade in Chester. All pets are welcome. Prizes awared for the best costumes! 11am registration and 12:30pm parade start. This event is free, donations of cat and dog food accepted.  Click here to find out more.
  • Sunday, 10/9: AMA Morris County Heart Walk and 5k Run in Parsippany.  Join the fight against heart disease and stroke and raise money for the American Heart Association. Walk begins at 9:30am. Click here to find out more. 
  • Sunday, 10/9:  Rutgers Gardens Fall Foliage Festival in New Brunswick. Enjoy a scavenger hunt, apple tasting, pumpkin painting and more! 12-4pm. $5/car. Click here to find out more.

    There is a Witches Ball in Mt Holly on Saturday night 6-11. No kids under 16! Costumes recommended! There will be a contest!

    I’ll be there! Lol. & ps there always kids…no fun without the kids 🙂 but there is a beer garden lots of shops & food also! I go every year & its a blast!
