I shopped pathmark when they were doing the Axe deal. If you bought so much a CAT would print out for two free movie tickets from Fandango. They didnt go by shelf prices for that so I hade to buy more then what the deal was posted for up here.
I’ve done several of the cat. deals at Pathmark and it always has been off the shelf prices, but from what I read, I think it really depends on the store.
In my circular it says that if you buy 2 Iams Dog Foods you get $10 back so If I buy to will I get the $10 back for the dog food and the $10 Gift Card?

I live a block away from a Pathmark so Im there frequently, Ive gotten many many things for free here it’s a great couponing store. I tend not to do the deal ideas involving high value catalinas (this says Pathmark gift card, is that money I can use anywhere or just Pathmark?) but I do believe it tends to work with the shelf price unless otherwise stated. If anyone else can verify that’d be great. If it doesn’t work, I have asked for my coupons back and went to customer service (another reason it’s great to shop while customer service is open) and they either resolve the problem or you can just return everything. HELP, I am not sure where to ask, I took advantage of Gift Card Deal today several times and on one of the transactions I used $10 catalina to get a card and then when it was suppose to be next transaction for the rest of my items, cashier continued and when he hit total I used my previous card(1) and then new card(2) I just bought. Card(2) did not work and this is how I learned that he still using same transaction and manager voided it including new card and gave me catalina back. Right away I bought new card and used same catalina on it and in new transaction I used original card (1) as I assumed money still there since he voided transaction but card(1) was empty. Another manager came and took voided receit from envelope and there was no information about me ever swapping card(1). They told me to come back when accountant will be there and maybe she will be able understand what happened. Help, I do not know what to do, how to get my money back if it does not show anywhere. Is there possibility that money go back to gift card in few days, is it possible to check which transactions were used with particular gift card?
I also checked all my receits for today where I used gift cards and where it sais method of payments it shows gift card **************and some numbers at the end but those numbers are not last digits of gift card , 3 of them are part of number somewhere in the middle but 4th one random, does it mean they will tell me that I did not use those cards at all?
I do not know what to do, HELP, it is my $11 I do not want to loose.

Deal works with shelf price. I tried the the deal that envolves pepsi products. Not sure about P&G. I did not do this one because Pathmark card is not included in this deal and I found nothing I would want to use, besides all cards in my Pathmark $25 and more, so it did not work for me.
Pepsi deal is very sweet. I found coupon $1 of 4 right on some bottles of ginger ale, so it was even better,… before they messed my transaction. So sad.
That happened to me once with a giftcard, I had to come back the next day and they called the cashier over to see if she remembered what had happened and after talking to the cashier the manager that came over to void it and myself they gave me the money that was taken off of the card..It all took about 15 minutes to straighten out and then I was done…They put the money on a seperate gift card and not back on the same giftcard that was used but I didn’t mind as long as I got my money back…This kind of thing must happen more then you would think because they have a policy for it at my Pathmark and once they give you back the money they had me sign a clipboard and date it (like when I return something and get the money back)…HTH
I will go tomorrow. Cashier was totally useless. He said that I used the other card and I guess he paid zero attention before other card did not work in first transaction and did not pay attention that I swiped both cards. The thing is I never had experience with voiding transactions with gift cards and I was not even thinking that money will go away and since they did not do anything I assumed it was fine. I still do not understand why voided receit, the one they have and I do not have a copy of is not showing anything, so weird. It will be very difficult to get money back unless they will be able and willing to track gift card transaction to see where it was used, so dissapointing.
Sometimes when they void cards like that it just takes 3 or 4 days for all the information to catch up. If you call the company that issues the cards , sometimes, they can fix it quicker. Hold onto any giftcards that that happens to until the problem is corrected.
I spoke to bookkeeper at Pathmark regarding my problem with gift card, was told money should go back in 7_ 10 days. She did not check any transactions, she said if money will not go back then she will check. Hope it will work for me. Thanks for listening.
p.s. and when i tell the cashier – they never have any idea what zavers is. They say “you can’t put coupons on your store card. If you want to use a coupon, you have to give us the coupon”.
I haven’t been to Pathmark in 3 weeks….I had $9 in Zavers that didn’t come off, they reprinted my receipt and said someone would call me and nothing as of yet…this was 11/5. I emailed Zavers twice and still haven’t gotten my $9. I will only step foot in Pathmark now if something is free. :-/
I never have a problem with zavers coming off for the past year or so. The only time is when a coupon beeps that I scan and a certain lady looks over my entire order and tells me I can’t combine them even after I tell them the coupon policy states I’m allowed a store coupon with a mfr coupon. I just try to avoid that lady though. She’s miserable and for a manager doesn’t know the policy very well.

I frequently shop at Pathmark only on good deals yet everytime I shop with my Zavers,it doesn’t come off from my total just the paper coupons … Anyways,anyone subscribe for Pathmark weekly email/newsletter,you’re getting free items weekly of $ off on $$ you spent….I’m getting free items and discounts every week cuz I received emails from Pathmark with either free item(which comes every week),$5 off on $50 you purchase,$8 off on $80 etc..Its worth for me even if I don’t get my Zavers discount..
I did this deal at Walbaums for $500.00 Visa card and they gave me 6 of $10.00 store gift cards. CS forgot to ask my card and Catalina did not print out. Manager came and scanned Mayo to get $10.00 Cat (I guess they are running promo). She got 6 of $10.00 Cat and comverted them to store gift cards! These cards are good at A & P, Waldbaums, Super Fresh, Pathmark, Foodbasics and Food Emporium. (They are all under the same company).
Also some one behind me was paying gift card by using Visa gift card.
I guess you can roll the card if you change the store (from Waldbaums to Pathmark, etc.) Or if you did your deal without store card.
I used the GC right there to make sure things are in order and it worked.

I did this deal once today and paid using 2 of my MC gift cards I purchased at shoprite last week, and they gave me a hard time! I stood my ground, politely, and told them I paid for those gift cards with cash,so they are not credit cards!!
She finally gave up and said , “you’re right, it does say Debit card”…
But I plan on buying 2 more $500 giftcards tomorrow, since we can pay some of bills with Debit cards!!!!
I’m excited for the free groceries!!
We spend around $400 in gas every month, so I could use all the free groceries I can!!! My stockpile is also getting a little low!!

A lot of people at my Pathmarks are miserable too. It has to be a really good deal to get me to go. That’s ashame.

i went to Pathmark tonight on Staten Island. I bought the Visa $500.00 card and got (2) $20 catalinas that expire 12/22.
I am gonna go back tomorrow and purchase (4) $25 Hess Gas Station cards and another Visa card for $400.00 – i will pay with the $500 Visa Card!
They did not ask for my pathmark card and i was able to charge it on my credit card!
