I just got word that the Schick & Skintimate Shave Cream Deals will no longer be working. The signs and the deal were incorrect and signs will be going up in the stores announcing the error.
The deal will only be working for the advertised Schick razor for $9.99 as shown in the weekly ad, you will receive $4 ExtraBucks Rewards, limit one.

Wow…Glad I got mine this morning. I was wondering why I had to go to 3 CVS stores for it to finally work. I knew there was a problem, glad it got resolved.
Got my Hydro 5 today for $9.99 The cashier took off $10.99 for my free razor coupon and $4 ECB. Wow! It’s great to be paid to get a razor!
Looked for the shaving cream but saw no peelies.
where did the free razor come from Wendy, I’ve heard a few people mention that. is it the recent one they had saying they would send it in the mail, it was a coupon you received instead? i signed up a few days ago but think it’d be too quick to get it now.
I got it in the mail a while ago. I believe that it expired 1/31.

Will the ECB we received from the deal yesterday still be valid? I’m a little worried that I’ll have trouble using a single ECB with such a high value.

I am glad I went on my lunch break then!!! I didn’t think thisa deal would work since it was unadvertised-but it did!!!! So I got 5 shave gels. And I left a few for other people. Glad I went when I did.
I bought 4 bottles 3 hours ago and it worked.
i am so glad i went this am and got 14 shaving creams some of them were labeled for 3.59 too. which made this a good money maker
its too bad they changed it I spent 18.98 on everything i bought and got $43.00 in ECB back i was so happy
I got the last one at my CVS around 2. No peelie, but it was 3.89 and I had the .55 coupon.
Went on my lunch break. Glad I went… 6 for FREE! Great deal!
If we do this and use ECBs to pay for it, but the deal doesnt work, can we return them and get our ECBs back??
Usually, they will give you a CVS gift card or cash since they can’t reprint the ECBs.

wow! that’s a big ECB! wait til there’s an awesome CVS Cash Card deal, and buy enough for 2 deals (or 3, depending on the other q’s you’ll be using). you’ll turn it into cheap product and more manageable gift cards. i’ve got a $24 ECB that i’ll be using on the sodas on sale this week that i don’t have coupons for.

I’ve noticed these unadvertised deals usually get pulled by corporate on Mondays. I’ve read a few readers here but more on other blogs purchasing 30, 40 and 50 skintimates so they can “donate” them or give them to family. Donating is great but the deal was posted for no more than 8 hours and there were posts saying how many transactions people did and the amount they scored. It seems like greed just takes over. I’m wondering if people wouldn’t be so greedy, then we all would have a chance to take advantage of free deals like this for a longer period of time. And I’m not talking about those who are purchasing 8 or 10 between different stores. I’m talking about those who purchased over 30 shaving creams and then talk about donating them to shelters. Of course donating is great, but please be courteous and leave some for others. 30-50 shaving creams in a few hours is just not fair to the rest of us trying to score a few for our household for free.

i was thinking the same thing…was going to swing by to buy 2 (if they were even available…probably not considering whenever there is a good deal, the shelves are wiped clean in hours). but, now i am glad i didn’t buy any…don’t feel like being a part of the pure greed that sometimes comes with couponing. really, who needs 14 bottles of shaving cream at one time! there are great deals on shaving cream all of the time, save some for everyone else!
I agree…. If I am not at CVS within the first few hours on Sunday all of the good deals are gone!

I can see your frustration Jen…I am glad I got my 3 though. I’m sure I will eventually need to buy more but what I save with other deals I can use on this kind of stuff. I just hope their coupon policy doesn’t dramatically change because of events like these.
It was still working at 6:20…got 3…no peelies, but I had 25% off sent to my card so at $4.49 each I still got them for free after ECB

I live in northern N.J. and I just got back from cvs 5 min. ago and I did the deal 5 times and got the $4.00 ecb’s all 5 times!
still working tonight (6:30pm) in new hampshire. sale signs were still up and everything. bought four of the skintimates @ 3.59 each (no q’s in my SS), and the last 2 schick hydros that had the $2 peelies (plenty more product for others, just without the peelies). paid $18.34 and got back $24 ECB. receipt says quantity toward reward is 6, needed to earn reward 1, so it looks like it’s still going through the computers. the cashier gave a “whoa! that’s cool” at the high value of the ECB, but that was it.
i was debating going out to my other CVS tonight and looking for some more with peelies, but already have my feet up at home. i hope this is still happening tomorrow. if it is, i plan to divide up my orders and get smaller ECB amounts.
In all fairness, I still have some of the Silk from a few months ago at SR for .19 so I didn’t even bother and I’m quite sure some of those shelf clearers have them too. Going through all that trouble to donate an item that is not in dire need is a bit crazy___GREED sets in. Please be courteous to the next person who may REALLY need it, you know who you are people. TY.

I just went to my local cvs in CT and it worked however there was only 1 left and honestly i was ok with that because it was a test anyway. So i got the 1 and talked to the cashier.. I said you got wiped out she said oh yeahhhh , but do you want a raincheck.Well of course I do and she said that it can only be for 10.. So i was given that. The signs were all still up as well. That was at 831pm.
However today’s haul after extra bucks and coupons was 11 deodrants. 1 Skintimate, caudbury mini egg and reese egg and 3 bottles of purex for a total of 1.47…. and the rain check….I am happy with that.
I did this at two cvs’s in ct tonight still worked and
used two $1 off coupons.

Wow! So happy that I got 5 today. It’s working in Aberdeen, NJ. Only thing is someone took the peelies off the bottles I got. So I paid 49 cents each. Still so happy this is my husbands fav shaving cream.
Thank you Cindy! I really enjoy this site and saving money. My family has everything they need. We used to go without. Now I feel blessed and a little spoiled.
I was at CVS around 1 pm and got 1 of this. There were probably hundreds of this with peelies and everything. There was a special display of them since they are introducing the new Schick Hydro. So I said I’ll come back and get some.
I went back at 7 and they were GONE except 3. I got 2 as I only had 2 coupons. But holy crap! Who needs that much of this? Who even needs shaving cream? Body wash foam is just fine!
I get it that people want to donate, but I highly doubt it that that is where all of this goes AND people who coupon have a financial need too. How about allowing them to save. Think of it as “donating” to the working poor….

I don’t think you should judge… you don’t know how many people came into that store and bought shaving cream it could have been 1 person and it could have been 20+ Also, I doubt there was 100 shaving creams in one store… Other people said they’ve seen employees clear shelves so maybe they cleared the shelf after they saw you or another coupon get free shaving cream. You really don’t know unless you camped out all day and watched it happen..
But, by the sounds of it, chances are who ever purchased the shaving cream, if any, followed the coupon rules, limits, AND didn’t clear a shelf… That’s all you can really ask isn’t it?
Nope doubt it. There were probably more than 100 at this store. They had a huge display with it because they are introducing the new Schick razor and a big supply in the shelf. This is a big CVS. I only bought one at the time and used the self checkout. Cashiers didn’t notice a thing so I doubt they pulled the product (but still left 3?)
I also live in a very rich college town where people rarely coupon. Whoever bought all the stuff probably drove there just for that reason. It’s fine, since I did get 3 and I really just needed to roll some ECBs. Following coupon rules is good, but it is not cool to clear shelves no matter what. They should ask for a raincheck etc.
Also sometimes, small convenience store owners clear shelves and resell the goods in their stores at full price.

I have purchased coupons that have missed my papers on the couponthingsbydede site. The minimum order is $5 which isn’t bad and she mails them to you the next day. If you think about buying say 4 papers for $6-$8…this way you can pay the same or less but choose the coupons you really want.

The shaving cream worked at 10 pm in my store in NE Indiana. Some varieties were actually priced at $2.99 and I got the $4 ECB. I got 4 cans -should get me thru the summer! Lol! And the $16 in ECB helps out a ton in diapers!
Check out the CVS brand diapers/training pants…normally 19.99 on clearance for 4.99…hope that helps.
Seriously? Anybody else find the diaper deal in their store? I may have to go today! I wonder if they have size 3 on sale too?
The ones I saw were like the Pull-ups style yet in the CVS brand..me and my sister commented how we never stumbled across deals like this when we needed them…all potty trained in our houses.
FYI..also Ivory bars of soap(large 3 or 4 pack) and Jergens soap(believe it was 8 pack) were half price…$1.34-1.49…bring Ivory coupon with you.

I have to ask, after the shelves are cleared, when’s the best time/day to go to CVS? In my area, there are a lot of shelf clearers and even if I go there before the store opens and wait outside with fellow couponers, one or two people get to the shelf first and clear it (i.e. rite aid centrum deal). I ask the sales assistant if there’s any more available (at CVS–before she looked for me, the next time I asked she saw me carrying a coupon and said whatever is on the floor is all that’s left. Same thing that happened at another CVS, the sales assistant looked in the back, the next time I came in and he saw me using a coupon he said whatever’s out is all that is available =/ I drive around to multiple locations, at least 3 and go there Sunday and then Thursday/Friday — days when their shipment comes in and I still manage to leave all the stores empty handed 90% of the time. I’m starting to wonder if I should move (lol) or stop couponing. It’s disheartening going to all these locations multiple times in a week and find shelves cleared. Does anyone have any tips? Save time/money/gas. I really do agree, for all those that purchase so much, do you really NEED that many?
can you give the store a call ahead of time? if you aren’t buying a lot sometimes the store manager will pull a few itens aside from the shelf or when they are unloading the truck. Hope this helps.
Get a raincheck!!!! The ECB will be coded on the bottom of the receipt. Save your energy and gas…tip: clip the circular ad and attach it to the raincheck so you know for sure what you are purchasing, correct size, correct version. Good luck!
get a raincheck. then you can go back at your convenience the following week or month (when the shelves will be stocked) and get the deal! when you redeem the raincheck most cvs will even honor the manufacturer’s coupon you were going to use even if it has expired! cvs rainchecks also never expire so you can actually hold onto it and redeem it when you have a $5 off $25 (for example) coupon for even sweeter deal! i love rainchecks can you tell? sometimes i hope the shelves are cleared just so i can get one!
I got some earlier today. As of 9 p.m. tonight, the deal was still working for me. What I have noticed is that everything seemed a bit screwed up this week at CVS. Some stores had the posting, some didn’t. I noticed when I when back to my home CVS they posted the $4 off. It wasn’t posted earlier. So, I think the deal is still legit.

While I agree that shelf clearing is not good etiquette I did buy 13 skintimate but I easily left the same amount on the shelf. I would say if you need to take more than half of what is there you should make an order or get a raincheck for more and tell the store you don’t want to clear a shelf. I can’t tell you what good this does for your store relationship and not to mention they now don’t have to deal with frustrated customers on account of you. Sometimes though I have come to realize that I need to buy a lot of something to make the math work, not because I am being greedy. I have noticed that there is someone new in my area that is just clearing store after store on the new sale day. I have been doing coupons for the last 8 months and never had a problem and suddenly the cashiers are starting to get a little cranky. I hope this new person doesn’t ruin it for the rest

Just worked in PA. No signs up at all–about ECB or about the “wording error.” They seemed in the dark about either. Still had a few shaving cream on the shelf.
Still worked for me last night (1/30) in NY. There were only a few of each left on the shaving cream shelf with no peelies. But then I discovered a separate display on the top shelf over the deodorant, and they all had stickers!!! So check there if you can’t find any.
I went this morning around 11 am and bought 4. Then used the ECB to purchase 2 packs of Daisy razors and 1 Venus that were all B1G150% off and stacked it with a coupon for Buy 2 Daisy disposables and get 1 Venus free. This was my first deal!
Deal stopped working now 11:4am Morrisville PA – Ecb did not print! It was good while it lasted!
The deal still worked for me this morning @ 10:00 am in Simsbury, CT. There were plenty left there with peelies, and still are. Unfortunately, shelves were cleared in the Avon, CT store.
My store was wiped out, and there was no tag for the shaving creams/gels- only the razors. and the Ad doesn’t say the creams are good- only the razors. So no Raincheck for me.
Oh well…..

Just got back from trying in Boston, MA at 12:15ish…signs are still up but the deal is not working anymore : (

I was ay CVS around $1:00, The signs were still up so I figured I would give it a try. I bought 4 bottles @ $4.39 and 2 bottles at3.79, (I didn’t realize that the 4 were priced higher, I would have bought more at the lower price) My total was 25.14, I had 7 $1/1, I paid $18.14 + $0.26 tax (Don’t ask me how the computer figured out that tax) Nothing printed. I went and got one of the 8 tags that were in front of the shave gells. The cashier said no problem and printed me One $4 ecb. I told her it was one ecb per bottle. She had to call the manager over, they both inspected the tag and decieded that I was correct. The manager scanned my reciet, The computer would only let him print a $22.00 ecb. all in all I paid $18.40 and received $26 in ecb $7.60 priffit!!!!!!!!!!!
In Central California here. Sign still up but ECB didn’t print. Got last 8 with no peelies. Thinking about it, I should have got a rain check. Had the manager go check the sign out and she printed it out for me. System wouldn’t let her do a $32 ECB (thank goodness, I hardly ever spend that much at once when I coupon) but did do 2 of $16 ECB. Oh and they are priced at $4.19 here BUT I had my 25% CVS coupon loaded on my card that expires today so each was $3.14 so made 86 cents each. I shared with my Mom and sister in law and for my little stockpile and my hubby even said “I’ll use that berry one. It smells good.” lol Hope the smell doesn’t linger. I can imagine his buddy’s giving him a hard time. HAHAHA
