love it! ao true!
I second that emotion!
OMG!!!! This is so awesome. I just started keeping track on my own excel spread sheet, but this one is SOOOOO much better then mine!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!
Just what the coupon Doctor ordered!! Thanks. I was hoping to keep a list of savings somewhere I could look back on.
Thank you for this! I have just noting my savings in a little notebook. Didn’t have time to create a whole excel spreadsheet and now i don’t have too! You are awesome!
OMG thank you all so much. I was trying to come up with something to try and see how much I have saved and could not figure out how to do it. I have never been so excited to enter data into the computer. U GUYS ROCK!!!!!
Thank you Thank you thank you!!! This is a million times better than what I had created for myself! This is awesome. You have made a huge difference in my life.. which I have of course then told everyone who will listen. I can’t even tell you how many of my friends and family members have coupon binders now. Thank you!
This is great! I will finally know how much I’m actually saving… can’t wait to get started
Thank you so much!!!
Do you have to have Excel on your computer to use this? Or can you just download it and use it?
Is this MAC friendly?
nope
I have a mac and Numbers and am able to open it and use it. I downloaded the 1st link. Numbers opens Mac files and Excel files.
Hope this helps.
i dont have numbers, and cannot open it on excel. do you know if there will be a mac friendly version?
I have a mac and a really old version of excel for macs and it works great for me! Yay!
i cant get it to work.
I can’t get it to work either…and I extracted all the files too. Keep coming up as xml?
Any help is appreciated
try the other version – mine didnt work on the ‘newer’ one, so i downloaded the ‘older’ one and it worked, even thought my laptop isnt too old – 2009
You have to have the older version, if it doesn’t work send me your email and I’ll convert to an older version and resend.
Ohhhh i want this! How can I get it to save on the iPad?
Just downloaded…..reading the instructions seems easy enough, can’t wait to input my shoprite trip from saturday!
the budgeted cash mixes with the amount saved at the top of the month… so if I budget $500 spend $50 save $200 it tells me I have only $250 left in the budget…. But I would really have $450 left. I’m going to start next month using this program for the budget
I noticed the same. It is an easy fix. In cell D6 total amount paid change =SUM(I12:I100) by =SUM(C12:C100) and then you’ll have the amount you really spent.
It worked, thanks!!
Nice, thanks.
Any chance you can also post this in regular .xls format (for those of us with older versions of Excel :-/ )?
We are going to add it so stay tuned.
cool – thanks!!!
What am I doing wrong? I extracted all the files. I tried to open them but they don’t open correctly. I know how to use Excel – not sure what the problem is.
i don’t have excel on my computer… :O(
Susan, see of OpenOffice Calc (it’s free) will work for you.
thanks for the info jenn… i’m going to try it…:O)
Oh I think it is because I have Excel 2007? I am so outdated! LOL
We just added a link for older versions. See if that one works.
makes two of us.. no luck opening it!
use the ‘older’ version – that worked for me!
Thanks!!!
Thank you so much Cindy! It is much different than the spreadsheet I was using. Thank you for all that you do. You have inspired me so much that I have called in my family to help me out with switching back to a coupon binder. I have over a foot of coupon inserts to cut and sort. I have family members asking me to teach them as well! Thanks for changing our lives
I am having trouble with downloading this…is anyone else?
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! You have helped me save so much money and now i can actually keep track of it over the year! Thank you again for all you do!
Awesome! I love it! Thank you!!
anyone without excel should be able to open it in open office, or google docs both are free programs
Thanks Cindy!!!
This is so awesome!!!
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this! I made my own, but yours is more condensed and easier to use. Thanks again!
This looks great! I’m going to start using it on February 1st.
Fantastic. I was keeping track on paper, because I wasn’t sure how I wanted to track it on the computer. Seems like this will be good. I will definitely have to give it a try.
How cool it that! I just downloaded and entered today’s shopping. I saved 43% today and that included a lot of organic produce w/o coupons.
Thanks so much, Cindy. You are the bomb!
This works great, thank you!!!! I have a few questions:
At Winn Dixie, I sometimes get a coupon handed back to me with my receipt. Is that a Catalina that would go in the last column?
As you know, Aldi doesn’t take coupons or show savings on their receipts. Do I enter that receipt anyway (in order to get a true monthly total spent?).
Do Winn Dixie Fuelperks go anywhere?
Thank you so much you guys….what a HUGE help you are!
yes, enter all you spent. What you saved is just to fluff your own feathers and make you feel good about yourself… What you spend is all that really matters.
Thank you Cindy!
I can’t wait to show my savings at the end of the year!
Thank you! Thank you! LOVE IT!!
I don’t understand what to put in column D – I read it a few times, but I don’t know how to get that information off my receipt.
Thanks, this is great just started couponing at beginning of the month and was trying to figure out a way to keep track of my savings!! I love it works great thanks!
Thank you! This is awesome, last Feb. I put together a spreadsheet (kind of) to track my savings, but it was a flop….I love yours and I will keep using it. I just filled in all of January’s trips. I went a little over budget this month because of ShopRite’s Can Can Sale, so I’m hoping to make up for it in savings next month…
)
Thank you for the new couponing tool, I’m going to add to my coupon toolbox!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This spreadsheet is amazing!
i just d/l the … openoffice calc….sooo how do i get cindy’s spreadsheet to work in this program??
i did it… i figured it out!!! happy dance… happy dance!! now i just have to figure out how to use it….lol….
What did you do?
i put cindy’s spreadsheet on my desk top… then just moved it over into the openoffice folder…. it was as simple as that….lol
how did you get openoffice on your ipad
thank you jenn for the software info… and thank you .. thank you cindy for all you do…. you are an amazing gal!! :O)
I just started couponing this month and was going to do my own spreadsheet and you guys did it for me thanks!! I just entered in my info and I realized that on the Shoprite receipts the savings they list on the bottom doesn’t always add up. When I add the stuff manually it does (so confusing). I’m not trying to figure out how to imput the target info in this since the receipt doesn’t make sense to me either for thier total savings. any help is appreciated on the Target receipts.
Cindy, I’ve never set a budget. Do I have too. I use to spend $220 a week on everything, now it’s usually $75 or less. How important would a budget be? Also, thanks for all you do, I was able to donate 814 jars of babby food, 7 cereals, and 2 cans formula over the last 2 weeks. YOU ARE THE BEST.
Thank you so much for putting this together. I just went and put in all my receipts from last year so I can start to compare it to this year! I already saw my growth from 31% savings to 51% savings. You are teaching us great things!!
Thanks for this Cindy!!!
I cannot wait to start using this tool! Since we already more than halfway through January, I will start in February. I am not an extreme couponer like some, but still use them all the time. This will be just another way for my family to stay within our budget during these hard times! I love it! Thank you so much!
Awesome tool. I am a little confused…Did anyone notice that when you go to Feb the leftover money is the “Total Coupons used ” from Jan? Why is that leftover from Jan? Or is it just tracking my toatl coupon savings for the year?
Lisa – That section should be the total amount of your budget left over from the previous month. It has been adjusted and a new link is available in the post.
If you want to change it on your own spreadsheet, all you have to do is make the “D” an “I” in the formula for that box!
On the February Tab it should read: =YTD!I3
The March Tab should read: =YTD!I4
The April Tab should read: =YTD!I5
etc.. All of these codes go in the J2 box from February on.
I hope that helps! You can always just re-download the Savings Tracker for the error to be adjusted already.
omg thanks sooo much im not to good at excell, ima try and do this over the weekend.
I need some help on the Krogers receipt would you enter the store coupons that automatically getting taken off when you use your kroger plus card to the coupon total ? or just use the mq coupons ?
been putting my in…( love love love it!) i have a ?….when i enter whatever catalina’s …ECB”s etc… it doesn’t affect anything ….is it suppose to??? i hope someone understands what i just said….lol
No, it’s not supposed to effect anything! It is there just for your to keep track of what you received that trip! When you use them is when it will effect something!
ok… thanks for the info….anddddd….THANK YOU! THANK YOU.. THANK YOU!!! :O)
I have a quick question. I just downloaded it and inputted my receipts from prior weeks.
On a ShopRite receipt, they breakdown the savings into categories:
Total On Sale Savings $x
PPC & Mfr Cpns $x
Multiplied Cpns $x
PPC & Store Cpns $x
Total Savings today is $x
In column E for “Coupons Used” would I add PPC & Mfr Cpns + Multipled Cpns + PPC & Store Cpns to get the “Coupons Used” total?
Yes, that is right. All Coupons you used (manuf./Store/ecoupon etc) all go under “Coupons Used”. So you just add price up to get the total for that colomn.
Thanks Cindy. I haven’t had nearly enough coffee today, and I thought it looked right but I wanted to double check!
Also, what do you ladies do for weeks that have two months in them? Like this week, we have 3 days in January and 4 days in February. I shopped last night, so I inputted that trip into the January spreadsheet. But I plan on going back on Friday for more shopping. Would I input that into my January sheet or my February sheet? And would the amount I pay on Friday calculate into my January or February budget?
Sorry for the all the questions. Just trying to get all of this straight so I can really get a handle on our money!
Just entered in my CVS receipts from last night and I used a $10 CVS gift card (from the promotion a couple weeks ago), when I put it under ECB used, but not under the total savings, it made my store savings a negative number and skewed my percentage saved. To fix this I just added the $10 from the gift card to the total savings amount that was given on my receipt.
Make sure your gift cards and catalinas are always part of your total savings because essentially they are apart of your savings.
How do you add this tracker to an IPad 2
OMG, I am not Excel literate! This is a lifesaver! Thank you so much Cindy!
Thanks Cindy.
Ii was planning on built my new one until I read your blog a couple of days ago. Thanks to you, I did not have to do the leg work. So far, over 50% savings in January!!! Gracias.
Susan C can you please help me get that sheet onto my ipad2
Can someone help me set this up on my iPad2 step by step
Hi I just downloaded the grocery tracker and I am a bit lost as to what do we put in the “total savings” field when looking at a shop rite receipt? Also, I don’t know if I am doing something wrong but it’s not showing me any % saved. TIA
i cant get the second page with the directions on it for some reason, so i have no idea what to do. can someone tell me how to get the directions
Hello Cindy
I am unable to download the grocery saving tracter. I was able to open it when you first introduced it but I cannot open it now. Thank you for your help.
Oh thanks for letting me know. I think I lost some info when they moved my server. My daughter Megan set that up for me so I will let her know so she can fix it!
I get an NOT FOUND message no matter which link I click…
I have been trying to download this but it comes up as a read only. Any advice?
is this only for groceries or can i use this for everything i buy? should i have 2 separate sheets: grocery n hba?
I was wondering with stop&shop where would you suggest I put my card savings.
WOW!! LOVE THIS!!! Just happend to be looking for something like this online yesterday! Wanted to keep track! Thank You SO MUCH Cindy! You think of EVERYTHING!!
When will the new ? version be ready for use?
Where do enter rebates
Need to know where can I get wheatables coupons? I like them and eat them, and some times the stores are very costly and it’s hart to buy. Please reply to my email. Thank you Anita
Are you going to make this spreadsheet available again.
It should still be available. Are you having trouble downloading it?
I am trying to figure out how to start a new month. I just went to Shop-Rite last night and I am still in June on the spread sheet. I’m sure I am just overlooking something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Cindy, are you going to make this spreadsheet available again.
Hi Cindy,
I faithfully used your spreadsheet each month this past year and did find a few bugs here and there – was wondering if you have any updates to post for 2013?? Thanks for letting me know!
Yes we will be updating it. If you have a chance, we would love it if you could email megan@livingrichwithcoupons.com and let her know the bugs you found. It’s always helpful to get feedback to improve it. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks so much for this spreadsheet! Can’t wait to get started this year and find out how much I am really saving (or NOT!). Wanted to do this last year but the program I found was difficult and this is easy!
Thank you so much!!! I’m a newbie at couponing and I was just trying to do an Excel file to know how much I’m saving and found it out! Amazing!
Hi Cindy,
I was able to download the tracker but I can’t get the second page with the directions on it for some reason, so can you help me please?
I downloaded both verisons also.
