My Shopping Trip: CVS & Pathmark for a $13 Profit!

Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE coupons?  In case I haven’t, I truly do ;)

Seriously, how can you not.  My trips to CVS and Pathmark netted me a profit of $13.  Every time I gave the stores money, they gave me more money back.  How awesome is that.  Plus, I didn’t even take advantage of all the money makers including some of the new rebates and the Speed Stick BOGO Sale at CVS this week. Here is what I did today:

wow! That’s awesome. I did great at Pathmark and A &P too and made a few bucks even though my zavers coupons didn’t come off. It’s a happy day!

How did the ECBs work on Skintimate if you buy more than one on a single transaction?

From your description, it sounds like you did at least two skintimate products on some transactions.

Did you have to make more than one transaction to get all ECB?

I wonder what triggers the $10 catalina from the Unilever deal. I got the $10 cat at A &P and did another deal at Pathmark but I only received $5 cat.

I was wondering the same thing. I wanted to do the 1st transaction at Pathmark, 2 wishbone dressings & 3 lotions, but I want to be prepared because my catalina’s never print there.

Majority of readers were reporting that the deal worked on shelf price and both my shopping trips to A &P and Pathmark were based on shelf price. So there’s a big possibility it will print for you this time.

I went to CVS tonight to try to get some of the shave gels, however, they were all out of stock :( I hate that. I went there to get some of the deals on the specified items. I couldn’t find the Tom’s of Maine mouthwash, and they were all out of the shave gel. Guess I’ll have to try again tomorrow.

I went to 5 stores to get 30…there were tons stocked at the stores in my area. Between my family and my sister’s family, we have 8 teenagers that we foster…love being able to give them their own products since most of them have lived without most of their lives…we are donating the rest to the women’s shelter that we volunteer at.

I shared with my MIL, my teenage daughters(3) and plan on donating to the Homeless Veterans Housing in Long Island. :) Thanks Cindy!

I am so grateful for this site. It has taught me so much!! I don’t know how I shopped w/out coupons before. I get so excited getting deals like these. With a family of 5 and only 1 income, it was incredibly hard to keep a house stocked. Now in just 2 months I have seen how much I have saved for my family and how full the cabinets and pantry have remained. THANK YOU LRWC !!! My new bestfriend!

I have a question about the ECB at CVS. Were the extra bucks all combined on one coupon for the shave gel? Or did you get 16 seperate $4 ECB coupons?

Reply

Cindy January 30, 2012 at 7:58 am

They are all combined.

Splended! Now since you submitted YOUR shopping trip, will you be enrolled into a chance for winning the LRWC give-away?! Lol :-}

Well, no shave gel on sale and does not give ecb. Lady speed sticks are $1.99 on sale had bogo coupon they scanned $4.00 but they wouldnt take those either. BUMMER! Tried it at both cvs here.

Cindy, it seems like your zavers and man. coupons worked together even though those zavers were under the Brand section. I always thought that you could only combine the Store section zavers with man. coupons (and even then they don’t always work). I am going to give Pathmark another chance since you and others seemed to have had success.

Of course now that I am home I figured out a CBNB one and a Q-Tip!! Going back tomorrow

I love seeing the shopping trips of others…it gives us so many ideas on what to do ourselves, since I dont really have much time during school semesters to figure it all out myself. Thank you!!
I did the deal at Pathmark ( 4 Lipton teas and 3 Caress) and I am planning my next trip there to roll the catalina. Hopefully pick up some Lipton soup mixes and q-tips. Since I dont get a Pathmark flyer in the paper,, I often forget about that store, but they do have some great deals sometimes!
I also tried the CVS deal today. I got 5 shaving creams (with peelies) and got the ECB…what a deal!!! I was tempted to buy the last four, but thought I should leave them for others cause I know I get upset when everything is wiped out at the beginning of the sale week…But what I was sad about was the BOGO coupons…all 3 different CVS stores I visited took the BOGO and manually entered the prices…While I know that is the right thing to do, I was looking forward to the MM…but I did get the deodorants for free once I got the ECB….overall a good day shopping!!
