if i want 3 of the pure absorb do i have to do 3 separate transactions to get 3 $10 RR’s?

Reply

Anonymous January 28, 2012 at 9:24 pm

You can but you would have to do 3 seperate transactions and not use the $10 RR to pay for it.

Allie January 28, 2012 at 11:21 pm

Yes, you have to do 3 separate transactions. You also cannot use the same credit card for each transaction otherwise the RR will not print.

Sonya January 28, 2012 at 9:48 pm

Yes. Note: using a $10 RR from the first will prevent the next $10 RR from printing.

Discovered this week that Walgreens is the least worthwhile of the drugstores for couponing. First the register rewards cannot be used until 5 hours after the transaction in which you earned them (or that’s what they told me) and second when I did go back later they told me that my register rewards counted as a coupon so I could not use it along with a coupon I had for the product! CVS and Rite Aid are so much better.

If you want to use a RR and coupon, buy a small second item. They usually have a coupon in the circular for gum, candy bar, popcorn, etc. that you can use as a cheap second item. The Wags coupons don’t count toward the coupon count, so now your transaction has the two items required to use two coupons.

The pur absorb was recalled and Walgreens offered us an iron pill as a replacement. The RR still printed, but I was unable to use my pur absorb coupon.

I spent an hour and a half in Walgreens this A.M. because I had $14 in RR that I needed to use.
I did the Colgate , alka Seltzer, l’Oreal and emerald almond deal. I was going to do the Blinks deal but be careful the coupon is only good for a certain kind and Walgreens ad specifies a certain oz size that I couldn’t find, so I decided not to do it.
Everything went really well until I tried to use all of my RR ‘s at once. I didn’t know that you can only use one on each transaction. The very nice cashier called the manager and she said the could put them through manually this one time but they still had a problem with the last one so we had to take some items off the original trans and do a separate one.
Whew! Glad they were so nice!

That doesn’t make any sense. I’ve used more than one RR in a transaction, just offset it and any other manufacturer coupons you have to at least total the same number of products or more in your transaction (meaning, fillers, etc) and you should be fine. I’ve never had a problem at my local Walgreens. They are amazing!

The same thing happened to me…help. I was buying Blink (with $1 MQ for Blink) and a piece of candy. The Blink $8 RR did not print. Cashier said it was because you can’t use a coupon or RR towards any item that would be technically freen in the end; Blink. I thought that was odd so I asked them to try again without the coupon but I paid with RR from the prior week. No RR printed. I called HQ but they didn’t know and asked a local store manager to call me who also was unsure. Bottom line; I could not use the $1 coupon or RR to pay for the Blink. Has anyone heard of this???

Also the Coconut Soft Scrub body wash rang up $1.53 instead of $3.00, nice and the price of my l’Oreal was $15.99 with the $5.00 already taken off then the 2 coups brought it to $11.99, not $7.99. I also got a $5 reward only good online for buying the L’Oreal and my package also included a trial size of Hydra-Nutrition! I’m happy!

Should have gotten $6 RR for the Dove but realized when I got home the cashier didn’t give it to me!

All in all, not a bad trip. I spent $20.84 OOP! I will be more conscientious about receiving my RR’s in the future!

I tend to watch that catalina machine like a hawk! But my Wags is so close to my house it is just easier for me to take several trips rather than do multiple transactions in one day. I did it for the South Beach bars but the cashier was super nice and said it was no problem to ring them up separate ( did 3 trans)

Walgreens had Therma-Care products on sale today BOGO 50 % off. With the coupons and MIR this was a money maker. 2 at 5.99, 2 at 3.00. Use (4) $3.00 coupons and pay $6.00 total. MIR for $10.00. $4.00 money maker.

Walgreens posted a sign on the Pur-Absorb iron supplement and stated manufacturer recall. However, they will subsitute the following item for $10 with $10 Registered Reward linit 1 – 260ct Walgreens ferrous sulfate. Thank you Cindy for keeping us viewers informed about coupon policies. I advocated my rights because the store asst. manager just wanted to write me a recheck and no RR because they were out of the walgreens ferrous sulfate. I made him call other locations and found a manager that will honor the posted notification. I went to another Walgreens and the manager was out of stock on the 260 ct ferrous sulfate and told me that I can subsitute with any item I would like. I selected the SLOWFE slow release Iron supplement 60ct and receive a 10.00RR. The manage scanned the St. Joseph aspirin for $2.00 RR and the Blink for $8.00 RR. He also apologized for any incovenience it may have caused.

With these MIR….it says “spend $10″ to get the rebate. I am spending $10 BEFORE coupons and they will see that. Will I still get the rebate? I don’t want to screw this up because then it won’t be a good deal!

Not something most people talk about but I found Hanes underwear for $1! There was an isle full of clearance items and special sale of $3- 7 bonus packs and 3 ct boy shorts were additional $2 off. Incredible since I found same packs for $8.99 at Target. Cotton underwear is the best when working out.
Also, at Target there was a tearpad for $2/1 Help brand product and they are on sale for $3.99 BOGO free at walgreens. Got 6 packs for free!

I know there was a recall on the pur absorb but I got mine since the stock was a different lot number. In any case I don’t even know what to do with it since I can’t take it. BTW just heads up to anyone with kids, since this stuff is powder keep it well away from any children since iron is extremely dangerous and potentially deadly. I would hate for any bad accidents to happen. Lets keep those RR rolling though, yay!
