My Shopping Trip: ShopRite
There was a comment in the ShopRite match ups from reader Bronwyn that the $1 Manufacturer eCoupons that are currently available (General Mills, SCJohnson, Splenda, etc), are actually coming off when you buy just 1 product from that Daily Deals category.
I headed back to ShopRite today to get more Smart Balance Peanut Butter and decided to give it a try. I wasn’t planning on doing the Motts/Snapple deal, and the Motts Apple Sauce is only $1.50 so I thought I would give it a try on that.
And, $1 did come off. So, I score a jar of Mott’s Apple Sauce for only $0.50! I was so excited to try this that I forgot to get my free box of ShopRite Organic Cereal. Guess I’ll have to go back again

Same thing with the Kleenex hand towels and Ragu sauce e-coupons. Both came off as soon as I scanned 1 of each!
I just got back from Shop Rite and I bought a jar of Ragu alfredo sauce–it was 1.99 and the $1.00 came off! Yeah!
Is that the e-coupon from shop rite dollar days?
and if i used it will it still work?hmmm i wonder
When I was in my store last week, they had a list of blogs on the counter at the customer service desk… Yours was on there. I always wondered if their employees read the blogs and went back to the store… I think the stores are going to be cracking down even more
Or, they follow the blogs to stock up on hot items! But one Stop and Shop by me definitely follows to pull the hot items and their shelf tags so there is not even a spot for them when you shop the sale that week. My Shop Rite is pretty good about couponing. They’ll even post the deals and which coupon to use if they are over-stocked on a particular item.
When you are doing the catalinas where you have to spend $10 say, is that $10 before your coupons or after?
it is before coupons, and typically on shelf price (not the sale price.)

Has everyone been getting their Smart Balance Cat on the shelf price? I bought 3 milks the other day and didn’t get it, and figured it was useless to argue with customer service over it. But it seems like everyone else is getting their on shelf price! I’m wondering if it’s worth it for me to go try again. I’d really like to snag the peanut butter!
The milk is going by 2.99 so you needed to purchase four not three. The smartbalance items that are”shelf price” are the oil, peanut butter, mayonnaise, and the cooking spray…if you look at the circular it is the items that have a small red box “you save” next to them” I hope that helps. If you were using the coupons from SS 1/8 they expire tonight.
and to top that today I went to a different SR did the GM an the CAT didnt then CS told me that I only can do ONE dollar day deal..I say ok one deal of every manufacturer .. today is the first time I try this GM… she told me no only one means only one..BUt that as a favor she would print this one for me this time!!!..
Next week I skip it!! for sure!!!
as for what i understand.its supposed to be one deal of each per card holder.but i want to do another smart balance deal with the peanut butter and oil.so i will have to use hubbys card
I have done three different deals in the same transactions all worked…did not get the $1 off the unilever. A different day did two different deals (unilever again and smartbalance again) deals worked and then received the $1 unilever. The first day I did the 6 Knorr pasta sides, the next day I did the 6 Ragu. All on the one card. Hope that helps.
the $1 off uni8lever was probably a one-time thing. Once you used it, it was gone.
It only came off after the third unilever deal…not the first, second but the third….I think the Knorr did not trigger it. Weird. To be honest I load those deals but do not count them in because I have no idea if the will or will not come off. Rather not be disappointed.
I just got back…I did not get the coupons 3 for the unilever…nor the 1.00e coupon….I asked about it and she said that it’s because the dove(6) pack was not part of the deal..nor the q-tips..anyway…I still love the store looking forward to next weeks savings…
I made two trips to 2 SR Bayville NJ and Toms River rt 37. The ecoupons were a mess but everything else worked perfectly. I had very nice cashiers and awesome CS staff trying to figure out my ecoupon dilemma. Is it possible to get the 6 Knorr sides for $1 each, use 3 $0.50/2 so they are all free and still get the $1 off the whole order? I did get the $3 CAT both times. Also, I was told two completely different things about SR CAT for cereal. Since they read MC at the top, one SR said I could not use any MC with it, the other SR said because I could only use it at SR it was considered a SR coupon. Which is it? Thanks!
can you do these deals more than once and get more than one cat?
Yes, as long as they are in separate transactions.
I never get any credit for the ecoupons through the price plus card website…Any suggestions? I did get the $1 days ones but not the regular like 50 cents off milano cookies…
I had that problem as well. I then went back to register again. This time it was a bit different. I had to select my favorite/preferred shop-rite. I think that last time I didn’t completely register. My e ocupons now come off. In any case, you should call the customer service number on the ecoupon website. Have your receipt with you as well as your shoprite card. They are able to check your receipt and see that you had the qualifying purchases and send you a check for your coupon amount.
When I called they told me they wouldn’t be able to see my receipt for 24 hours. They told me to call back tomorrow.
Same thing for the SC Johnson. Only bought 1 Scrubbing Bubbles Mega Foam Shower Cleaner and got $1 Ecoupon.
Cindy,
Will the catalina for smart balance still print if you only by 3 peanut butters instead of 4? I’m a little confused because I thought you had to spend $10 to get the cat?
