Pathmark and A&P Unilever Catalina Update
Pathmark and A&P Unilever Catalina Update
Well as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. We were teased by to possibility of yet another Unilever Deal at Pathmark and A&P that started yesterday and is running through 3/1. Although the deal is for Buy $40 Get a $10 Catalina as compared to last week’s Buy $30 Get $10, I still had high hopes for making it work. But, that is not to be. The deal is very different.
First, it’s tracking on the bottom of your receipt. So, you do not need to buy everything all at once. However it does seem that it is tracking weekly. So, if you do not reach your $40 this week, it looks like it will be resetting next week.
Second, it is NOT working on shelf price but instead working on sale price. Yes, I know, bummer.
So, with the increase in the deal and the fact that it is not working on the shelf price, I’m not seeing anything jumping out at me, especially after we are all pretty well stocked up with Unilever products from last week.
If you find something awesome, please let us know. Otherwise, be sure to check out the Pathmark Deals for this week and the A&P Deals for this week. The P&G Offer is decent and I may actually use my $10 Catalina from last week to roll into that. Either that, or use one of their new printable store coupons to score a deal on meat!
Thanks Heather!

bummer
Glad I stocked up last week, used all my coupons and still have $25 in catalinas so wont be buying any more this week.
the shelf price resetted on Wednesday so when I went to do the unilever deal, it was based on sale price (not shelf price)…the deal last week nor this week was a good one for me
Same here. I went to Pathmark on Wed and Thurs. The deal only worked on sale price not shelf price. I was bummed! When you work full time, juggle a family and have to travel 30 minutes to a PM you cannot always get to the market in the beginning of the week. When sales like this are too good to be true, it is usually a programming error, so you have to hurry up before the computer correction is made. I am sad as well.
Wondering if the P&G deal is based on shelf price or sale price? Am eying the paper towels and dish liquid. Checked yesterday and the shelf price of paper towels is 19.99 with sale price @ 13.99. Obviously if shelf price is used, I’d only have to buy two (15 ea.) paper towel bundles with nothing else to get the Cat. If sale price is used to calculate catalina then guess I’d have to purchase dish liquid too. Has anyone taken advantage of the P&G deal yet? BTW, could someone let me know what your stock-up price on paper towels is? Didn’t jot down specifics, but these towels are just normal-sized rolls — definitely not “bonus” sized.
I think $0.50/regular roll is a good price for good paper towels like Bounty or Viva. I like the sales at CVS for Bounty towels, when you buy $25 or $30 and get $10 back during promo. Last time I bought 16 regular rolls for $10 and received $10 back when I spend $30. Always look at the count for regular rolls like 12 big rolls = 16 regular rolls so @ $0.50/regular roll $8 would be a good price.
Thanks so much for your reply. My Bounty coupons were for $1.00 off (6 or more rolls) so I ended up paying .53 per roll (with sale price, coupons and $10.00 rebate) and now am satisfied the towels were a good buy. Cannot say positively that the rebate was based on shelf price (at my store, $19.49), but I’m thinking so, since that was the price that the towels initially rung-up as. I ended up purchasing 2 Mr. Cleans, too, when I realized we were running low. BTW, I have two P&G Home Made Simple booklets — each had a coupon for $1.00 off one Mr. Clean. So instead of 2/$5.00, they were 2/$3.00 or $1.50 each.
Hey Cindy,
I made a mistake in reporting – it is tracking through 3/1, not resetting weekly. Also, the $10 prints on the bottom of the receipt rather than a separate Catalina.
Thanks Heather
