ShopRite: Free Sobe Water & Lipton + Quaker Oatmeal Deal {Again!}

Starting on Sunday, 2/12, ShopRite has a Buy 10 Get a $10 Catalina deal.  This is limited to 1 offer per customer per transaction.  So, it looks like you can do this multiple times, however, not in the same transaction.  I have no idea at this point if these will roll.  Also, please be mindful of your stores policy on splitting orders.

Well, it turns out this deal is looking pretty sweet.  Right off the bat, it looks like we will be scoring FREE Sobe Water and Lipton Naturals Iced Tea.  Since they are priced at $1 each, you simply buy 10 and Get a $10.

Here is the deal:

Buy 10 Lipton Naturals Iced Tea or Sobe Life Water $1.00 each
Pay: $10
Get a $10 Catalina
Free after catalina

Quaker Oatmeal Deal:

Reader Elaine questioned if the Quaker Oatmeal SavingStar deal I posted earlier would be better this week or for next.  Well, it turns out that next week’s deal is super nice and even better then this week’s deal.  The SavingStar Quaker offer runs through 2/29 so it will still be available next week.  Remember, the SavingStar offer is a limit of 1. Here is how the deal will work starting on Sunday:

Buy 6 Quaker Instant Oatmeal $2.99 each (qualifies for SavingStar)
Buy 4 Lipton or Sobe Water $1.00 each
-(3)$1/2 Quaker Instant Oatmeal Coupon
Pay: $18.94
Get a $10 Catalina
Get a $5 SavingStar deposit
$0.39 each after coupons, catalina & savingstar deposit

Be sure to check out the new ShopRite Preview Ad posted this morning.

Thanks Elaine and again, thanks Ted for the Quaker Coupon!

I don’t think it will roll because you can only get the Savings Star deposit once, right?

Nicole February 7, 2012 at 3:55 pm

Oh wait, maybe you mean on the lipton/sobe? That would be cool.

This is awesome…just wish I hadn’t JUST done the saving star deal last night…, I’ll buy teas/waters and use the cats for more teas/waters and more oatmeal and more teas/waters and more oatmeal…. I think with the amount of oatmeal my kids eat, their cholesterol numbers should be in the negative!!

In the above oatmeal scenario is there any reason why you need to buy the 4 liptons or water with the 6 oatmeals?

Reply

Michelle T. February 7, 2012 at 4:13 pm

Kit, next week the deal is buy 10 participating items, get a $10 Cat. Yay! Although I think with the price of the oatmeal being 2.33 this week, it looks like I’ll be doing the Sobe and Lipton next week :)

Reply

Kit February 7, 2012 at 4:34 pm

Thank you I missed the (10 items).

Reply

Elaine February 7, 2012 at 4:34 pm

Yeah, I orginally thought it might be better next week, but I do think this week is better to do it since the Sobe/Lipton are free, in the deal idea its counting those items to get the .39 each. So I will defidently do the oatmeal this week, and leave the sobe/lipton for next week!

you sign up for saving star and register all your star cards with them. You save all the saving star deals, and saving star tracks all your cards – no matter what store. Then they credit you for the deal. It isn’t a saving that you get at the register. But once you reach $5 you can cash out via pay pal, bank transfer, check.

Okay think of it this way. It’s $0.65 each for the Quaker and 4 Free Lipton/Sobe. Still a better deal next week if you calculate it like that.

I believe you Cindy, :) so I will wait to next week!! yaya!! very excited since the Pantry for our Ministry is runnig super low!! and timing perfect!! since we meet the following week!! :)

Marjie February 8, 2012 at 1:17 pm

I already bought 2 Quaker Oatmeal this week at $2.33, but I will wait til next week to buy 4 more Quaker and 6 Sobe/Lipton. I think that still is a better deal at $0.77 each for the Quaker next week vs $0.99 each this week.

Savingstar $5 for the oatmeal can be only used once?

Reply

Laura D. February 7, 2012 at 6:53 pm

The $5.00 savings only can go into your Savingstar account once. You are correct :)

hmm. So after scanning ebay for coupons on the sobe or lipton…i came across a coupon that is a mfr…1 dollar of 2 any lipton tea product. there is a picture of 2 different tea bag boxes on the front. do u think this coupon would be valid on the ones in the sale? it does say ANY tea product. not bags… what do u think?

Reply

cc February 7, 2012 at 10:27 pm

I think that coupon states good at participating AWG stores. I don’t want to take a chance.

Is the Quaker and Cat deal available at other grocery stores? I am confused. The Quaker website lists a lot of other stores (besides ShopRite) as participating…but Cindy only listed this deal under ShopRite matchups. Was that just because there was a Quaker sale going on at ShopRite? What about the Buy $10 Cat? Is that just ShopRite? Just trying to figure out if this is store specific or if maybe I can take advantage of this deal at Stop and Shop too (I don’t have a ShopRite nearby). I get so confused with the Cats…TIA!

Elaine February 8, 2012 at 7:55 am

I know only part of your question. The buy 10 for $10 is ONLY at Shoprite next week. She put up a preview of it yesterday so that is how the decussion came up about the Quaker as its part of that deal.

I checked out coupons on ebay for the sobe water. Found that theres some for BOGO free. Will these coupons work where i purchase 5 get 5 free and still get the $10 catalina? Because wouldnt that make for a $5 money maker deal?

Reply

liznowak February 11, 2012 at 7:23 pm

Hey Marie,
I got those q’s too and the $1.00 of one. I hopefully am looking at a totally sweet deal!

sher February 13, 2012 at 7:35 am

Bought the oatmeal…no $10 cat…wonder why?

Reply

Rita February 13, 2012 at 7:11 pm

Can someone explain rolling? I had a 10$ catalina and went to shop rite today to do the lipton deal (only buying 10). I also had $5 of misc items. The catalina did not work and the manager said is because after the catalina my total was less than $10. I thought as long as the total price of items was more that $10 before the catalina it wouldn’t matter.

Reply

Bill February 13, 2012 at 10:57 pm

I did this 3 times today and it worked fine. Bought 10 iced teas in each order. The coupon prints as soon as the 10th item is scanned. Then I used the coupon with the subsequent order. I used self-scan and coupons have to be scanned by a cashier and this one needed some sort of override but I think that is because it was above a certain amount. BTW the Lipton iced tea is the regular stuff in 16 ounce glass bottles as well as the Naturals in the plastic bottle. You need to read the fine print to find this.

Rita, I don’t understand what you mean by “The catalina did not work “. Do you mean the $10 coupon was not accepted or that the new coupon did not print?

Reply

Rita February 17, 2012 at 12:25 pm

The manager didn’t except my catalina

Reply

Bill February 18, 2012 at 2:44 am

That makes no sense. The coupon is usable on any order of $10 or more (before the coupon, not after). The coupon may beep but they have to override it.

Reply

Bill February 14, 2012 at 10:40 pm

BTW I forgot to mention on my first post but the Lipton stuff is part of the Shoprite Family program. My point total has been going up by 10 for every batch of 10 teas that I buy. Got 20 more today. 100 Family points = $2 discount.
