Cindy I am wondering if you think they will have that awesome sale they have had for the last 2 years in Febuary? The one where you earn SR RR that you can use the next week. It went on for 4 weeks.

Dollar Days! I am waiting ever so impatiently! I actually told a few women here I would help them through it (with Cindy’s guidance) so they can get the most bang for their buck!

What coupon are you referring too?

Reply

Yes! I’m looking for coupons to match up, plus you can use this for the quaker savingstar promotion!

Reply

Elaine February 7, 2012 at 10:29 am

I didnt see anything on ebay for quaker oatmeal.. really hoping an IP will popup.

Reply

Kristy February 7, 2012 at 10:34 am

there are sobe coupons B1G1 on there, but they’re going for quite a bit so I probably won’t get them. I was thinking I could buy 2 of the instant oatmeal with the printables and then buy 8 of the sobe’s twice. It won’t be much savings after paying an extra $5 for coupons, though. But if I do the Quaker this week and buy 10 coupons, I can do two transactions of just the Sobe and it would be a $5 money maker in the end. ($5 for the coupons, then $5 in each transaction means I pay $15 and get $20 back!)

Reply

Elaine February 7, 2012 at 10:36 am

Can you tell me where you buy the Quaker coupons? Would love to stock up on oatmeal…TIA

Reply

Kristy February 7, 2012 at 10:39 am

I didn’t buy them. The link is in this week’s SR match up list. I believe it was from their Facebook page. It said you could only print it once, but I was able to print 3 so that I could buy all 6 needed for the Savingstar rebate.

Reply

Christine R February 7, 2012 at 10:47 am

Kristy, I just logged into my Savingstar account and didn’t see the Quaker Oatmeal option. Is it with all the other coupons or found somewhere else on the site?

Reply

Elaine February 7, 2012 at 10:48 am

Here you go… if you go back to LRWC Cindy put up another post about it…

Christine, here you go. It’s via Quaker Oats site. They are just using SavingStar’s system, so it’s not something everyone can just get without digging. Cindy also just posted an update on the deal that the coupons are NLA. :(

Kristy I see a coupon on ebay and I’m wondering if it will work.
$1/2 on ANY lipton tea products (it doesn’t specify, just says ANY)…
so I’m assuming it will work on the lipton iced teas….

Reply

Kristy February 7, 2012 at 3:46 pm

I bit the bullet and bought the listing for 20 of those coupons. If they work (which they should) it will be a money maker over 5 transactions throughout the week. I’d make $4 on two trans and use the other two to get my oatmeals. If it doesn’t work, I’ll be a great coupon fairy to someone. LOL

Reply

Bernell February 8, 2012 at 12:18 am

I bit the bullet too!
I paid $2.89 for 20 coupons….
let’s keep our fingers crossed!
If they work and they SHOULD….this will be so sweet! And my hubby will be so thankful for all the iced tea.
We’re on our last pack of Snapple!:-)

Where can I find Sobe coupons? My hubby LOVES them, I have been paying full price for them, I hate doing it, But I havent seen any coupons… Where should I be looking?

Reply

Elaine February 7, 2012 at 3:12 pm

I seen them on ebay, but they were going for crazy amounts. Its for a BOGO.

Reply

Anonymous February 7, 2012 at 10:07 pm

starting sunday at shoprite if you buy 10, it will cost you $10, and you will get a $10 CAT. Should be able to roll that a few times depending on the stock at your store.

Hefty Trash bags half price at $2.59. There was a $1 off coupon (red plum I think)that expires on 3/31/2012, which would make them $1.59 each!

Garbage bags are one of those things I never have ever had a great stockpile of… Diapers, yea, toothpaste oh yea… tp most defiantly… Cereal all the time, pasta and sauce for months… Garbage bags? nope, just enough constantly NEEDing more instead of buying a lot when there is a great price.

Reply

Bernell February 8, 2012 at 12:25 am

I’m really surprised that Shoprite hasn’t had a better sale on trash bags.
Last year, they had Hefty Trash bags (20ct or 10ct) for around $1.35..and I bought about 20 boxes over 2 weeks…
You know Shoprite tends to have the same items on sale for a few weeks.
Hopefully we’ll see that sale again. I’m down to my last 3 boxes….LOL

Hi,
I actually find that the shoprite brand (not the good sense) are very good, and they go on 1/2 off sale regularly. There are no coupons to apply but I seem to do very well with them (I think it was like $2.79 for 40-60 bags)

there is a $1/1 tyson grilled chicken strips on the target coupons website. I can’t print this anymore, but I printed it a couple weeks ago and it was a manufacturer’s coupon. This would make them $1 next week.

Elaine February 7, 2012 at 11:56 am

I seen in the DB..

$0.55/1 Tyson Grilled & Ready Refrigerated Product, exp. 4/8/12 (SS 01/08/12 R)

and

$1/1 Tyson Grilled & Ready Frozen Product, exp. 4/8/12 (SS 01/08/12 R)

Do you know if the tyson grilled chicken strips are considered “ready frozen” I just know that Target Logo is going to give me problems!

There are two types of Tyson “Grilled & Ready” chicken… one is frozen and the other is refrigerated. The ones that are 1.99 are the refrigerated. HTH

Hello Everybody,

I have a question for you. I am new at couponing and I recently signed up for cellfire and savingstar. Last week I was able to see some savings on my receipt with cellefire but yesterday I went to buy the chock full of nuts and should have save 75c. on the coffee but it’s nowhere on the receipt. Also I bought some SR imported pasta and I should have saved a dollar through ecoupons making it 49 cents but that is not on my receipt either. If I bring these items back I am sure they’ll reimburse me the money but I don’t understand why this happened twice in one transaction. What do you do if this happens to you?I want to be able to save through these online coupons but I am not having any luck. BTW if i bought 2 coffees do I save 75c. on both or is it for just one item? Thank you for any help you can give me.

Reply

Christine R February 10, 2012 at 10:48 am

Hi Nick,
SavingStar is not a digital coupon that you will see come off at the register. First you have to make sure you add all the loyalty cards for each store that you shop at, then when you make the required purchase the savings goes into your SavingStar account. When you reach $5 in savings you can select your payout. I believe your choices are: send to paypal account, have them do a bank deposit or request a check. So it’s not a savings you will see up front, but you will get it back in the future. Hopefully I didn’t totally confuse you!

Reply

Rocky February 10, 2012 at 11:08 am

Hey, Christine and Nick! I had just recently checked the payout options for Saving Star and they now offer the following: bank deposit; paypal account deposit; Amazon gift card, or, donation to americanforests.org. Great choices, I think – I love this program!

Also, Nick: regarding your ecoupons – have you checked the body of your receipt directly below the item? That is where your ecoupon deduction is listed. They don’t show them at the end in the area with all the other coupons. Sometimes people have received them but just didn’t realize it because it looks like a price plus deduction. Mine have shown a lot of different codes such as either SC, or TC or CFire.

Reply

Nick February 11, 2012 at 4:11 pm

Thank you very much Christine and Rocky. I am glad I posted on here, now I know what that Tc stands for and yes they did deduct a dollar for the imported pasta. As for Saving star this morning I got an email from them stating they deducted 75 c. for the Chock full of nuts. It took two days to register because I went shopping on Thursday. Anyway, I love Shop rite. It takes me 50 minutes to get there but I also work ten minutes from there so I try to go before or after work. Couponing has really saved my life. It has kept me sane and I took it on has a hobby after I was laid off and making over 65. I have three part time jobs now, make one fourth of what I used to make but I really find it thrilling to save money, getting free stuff and providing for my wife, son, friends and family. Thanks again ladies and happy savings to you:)

Reply

Rocky February 12, 2012 at 12:54 pm

Nick, you are quite welcome, and, so glad you did receive your savings. My family is in a similar boat, what with multiple hospitalizations, unemployment, underemployment and other very difficult situations, and, sometimes I think that unless people actually go through it, they don’t truly realize how difficult it can be to just keep some food on the table. This site and Cindy’s readers have helped, tremendously, in keeping my extended family of six, plus, two other ‘off-site’ relatives going. I am a firm believer in paying it forward, so, try to help with information whenever I can. Best of luck to you and yours.

We all have our fingers crossed, though it does seem likely. I’m sure someone will report in as soon as they’ve tried it, to let us all know. Either on this post, or, more likely, the SR Matchups post that Cindy sends out late on Saturdays.

Does anyone know if the Quaker Quick Oats is part of the buy 10 get $10 sale this week? I looked at the picture in Cindy’s shopping trip and she had Instant oatmeal (the packets) and I guess I was thinking she was referring to the quick oats in the round cannisters. I don’t want to pick up the wrong thing. Thanks!

Reply

Rocky February 13, 2012 at 3:45 pm

Hi, Christine, I was wondering that, also. I think it is part of the Saving Star deal (since it shows the cannister, though it doesn’t say Quick Oats, just Old Fashioned…), but, I don’t think it is part of the 10/$10.

The ad in my circular says 10.1 oz to 16.2 oz, Any Variety (excluding Organic), but, my Quick Oats cannister is 18 oz…

If anyone finds out differently, please let us know! TIA

Reply

Christine R February 14, 2012 at 8:58 am

Thanks Rocky. I think my circular was thrown out by accident so I didn’t see the size restrictions. Don’t they sell plain oatmeal in the packets though? I always find the flavored ones too sweet and like to add my own to it: stevia, cinnamon and raisins.

Reply

Laura D. February 14, 2012 at 9:07 am

I found the plain oatmeal in the packets. It was located on the top shelf in the box, it wasn’t mixed in with the flavored ones. It did take a bit of searching to find it and it was included in the deal. I don’t know about the canisters.HTH!

Reply

Christine R February 14, 2012 at 9:19 am

Yay, good news for me! Thanks so much Laura!

Reply

Rocky February 14, 2012 at 12:33 pm

Laura, really? That is great! I totally didn’t realize that the plain came in the instant packets, also, and, better yet, those are included in the deal. My daughter will only eat berry-flavored ones, another relative only likes cinnamon or maple, but, my mom will only eat plain oatmeal (hence, my knowledge of the cannister oats), so, if she has an even ‘quicker’ version that is in a portioned size, more the better. And, since I am hooked on Kashi’s Truly Vanilla, I think I will try the plain Quaker with a bit of vanilla extract in it. Maybe that will come close to the Kashi flavor! I really appreciate the info, thanks!
