Cindy, this is a somewhat unrelated question, but, since I am noticing them on your coupon preview list, also, it has me wondering – what is this ‘skimwords’ thing that is creating random links on words on your site, lately (including words in people’s comments)? It takes us to various unrelated places on the web (one I clicked on went to ebay, another to somewhere else, etc.). We’re used to clicking on links that go to specific coupons that you are promoting, not these random websites. TIA!
Ha! It just did it in my post! Says ‘shopping link added by skimwords’ when you hover over the link!
I was just trying something out but it wasn’t working correctly. I actually removed it earlier but it might take a little bit for you to stop seeing it.

They’re paid links. If you click on it Cindy gets paid for it.
They are not there anymore. I was trying it out but they were too intrusive and I do not like that for my site.

I’m all for Cindy getting paid for everything she does for us, here (actually, you could say I think she deserves a…’raise’!) – that’s why I always try to click on as many ads as could be relevant to me (without going overboard), on the site. Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t some sort of weird, hinky thing going on!

Well I wont be getting my usual four papers this week! Two weeks ago our main newspaper here in Delaware (The News Journal) bumped its price up from $1.50 for a Sunday issue to $3.00….can you believe that!! Doubled! I have no idea which ‘other’ newspapers are available on Sundays with coupon inserts, but I certainly cant afford $12.00 for four papers with one measley Red Plum!! Any northern Delawareans out there have a good (much cheaper) Sunday paper to suggest??
Having the same problem!! I just cancelled my subscription to The News Journal, and am really going to cut down on my paper-buying. I just hope I don’t miss any good coupons. I haven’t figured out which papers to buy yet, because a lot of the Philly area papers don’t get Red Plum. Looking for any suggestions…
Jaclyn, I just this morning went on Ebay and ordered the RedPlum inserts from someone in New York for this Sunday…..the coupons are waaaaay better (after comparing them to the free ‘YES’ paper that is delivered to me on Thursdays) and I paid a little over four dollars for 4 inserts with shipping. Its a start for now….. at least until we can find other options!
I am in NJ, so, not sure if this will apply to you, but, have you tried the dollar stores in your area? They usually have one or two different papers for a dollar that are anywhere from $1.25 to $2.50 at the newsstands or convenience stores by me. That’s where I buy my extra Sunday papers now, after having learned this tip from the readers on this site. You do have to get there right when they open, though, because they usually go very quickly!
Another tip I learned is that if you shop at CVS, Walgreen’s, etc., and usually have ECBs or RRs, use them to pick up the newspapers there. HTH!
Thanks for the tips, Rocky..I will have to check out the dollar stores around me. I had no idea they would sell them for less than what they usually go for, that is super! I hope it is the same here in Delaware
the dollartree chain has sunday papers for $1, but “sometimes” they dont have all the inserts
another option is clipping services or ebay for specific coupons
lately ive been only getting my one home delivery and then ordering the one or two that i need more of on ebay cheaper than if i bought extra papers, granted i dont have all the other coupons that i probably dont need anyway
I live in CT and my newspaper didn’t have any inserts this weekend
So frustrated. No insert in todays Sunday paper delivery. Glad I didnt go buy more on my way home from errands.
