Crispy Kale Chips Recipe

Ingredients

• Head of Kale
• Olive Oil
• Salt
• Lemon (optional)
• Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to about 275°
2. Make sure the Kale is washed and COMPLETELY dried. (must be dried all the way in order to crisp well in the oven)
3. Remove leaves from the stalks
4. Break into a little larger than bite size leaves and place on baking tray. Be sure to not fill up the tray to much otherwise they won’t crisp as well.
5. Pour a little bit of olive oil onto the Kale. (I think putting olive oil onto your hands first and rubbing it onto the kale will allow you to have more control. You don’t want to put to much olive oil otherwise they won’t crisp as well. That is the mistake I made)
6. Sprinkle Salt all over the Kale (a little goes a long way)
7. Put into the oven for 10 min, then check them. Put them back in and check every 5 min or so to make sure they don’t burn. You want them to be as crispy as a chip, but not burned which is why I checked them so often. I believe mine took about 30 min, but it’s really your taste and oven!
8. OPTIONAL: Squeeze some lemon and Red Pepper Flakes onto the finished product
