This rebate is also available at Rite Aid, but I don’t know the price just yet.

can someone please explain how it is going to be a $2 MM?
If you use the $2.00 coupon you’ll pay $4.99. But the rebate is for the price you paid right? So you’d get $4.99 back?
Thanks
Because the original price is $6.99, mfg will not count the coupon.
Is it definitely confirmed to be so for all the manufacturers ? I just received my rebate check from the Try-Me-Free Rebate Neosporin Essentials Trial Pack, and they not only took off the $5 Neosporin manufacturer coupon but also the $2 CVS extra-care-buck that I used to pay for the $12 purchase. So the rebate check is only $5 instead of $12! I am new to couponing and this is the first rebate that I did, I am quite upset that it had turned out to be so. No money maker at all, but ended up paying $2 for it.
So sorry to hear that leng you should definatly write them because they shouldn’t have counted the care buck that is not a manufacturers coupon and it is a store bonus that you get. It’s so not okay that they counted that!
Thank you Katie, for the suggestion. I checked their website, only a 1800 number to call. Where should I write to — the rebate center or to Neosporin or to parent company Johnson and Johnson ? If anyone else has encountered situations like this before, please give me some tips on how best to follow up on this.
I read on another blog that this happened to someone else too. She called the rebate center and complained and after some back and forth they finally agreed to honor the purchase price (which for her I think was $11.99 or something). Other commenters said they did receive the purchase price on their rebate so it looks like YMMV. I haven’t received my rebate yet…but I used all CVS ecbs to pay for it so I am very curious to see what I get. And if I don’t get the full amount (my purchase price was $14.99), I will call the rebate center to complain. Nowhere on the fine print of the rebate does it say “after coupons”, though CVS ecbs aren’t MFC so even if it did say that, it shouldn’t count. HTH!
Sesba, Thanks for the heads-up about this. I hope that your rebate will be for the full amount! I had looked through the rebate form and searched online, but can’t find the phone number of the rebate center. Can you/someone else post it here ? Or direct me to where it might be listed ? Thanks again for helping a newbie out.
I found this phone number online at the Neosporin Essentials website (the same site where the rebate form came from). (800) 223-0182 (Mon-Fri 8am-8pm EST). I would start there. Unfortunately I don’t remember which blog I was reading where I found the other complaints (I generally only follow LRWC! : ) but I don’t think the poster had included a phone number anyway. So I would start there and see what happens. Or is there any contact information on the check you got? HTH!!
Thank you, I called that number yesterday and the lady (Tiffany) initially told me that the rebate amount is after all coupons. But after I said that other folks on the web had received the full purchase price even with coupons, she took down my info and said that she would clarify with the rebate center and get back to me after 7 days. So we’ll see. If I have any updates next Friday, I will post it here. And oh, there is no phone number on the check, the return address there is different from the address of the rebate form, which adds yet another level of complications as to who and where to get resolution.
Leng I got my rebate from Neosporin yesterday and it was for the full purchase price ($14.99). I had used a $5 neosporin coupon and I paid for the whole thing in CVS ecbs. I also had other items (and coupons) in my transaction. So I would definitely pursue getting your purchase price back. Even if they take off the $5 coupon (which they shouldn’t do because they didn’t say anything about that in the rebate but I suppose they could if they wanted to) they should not take off the CVS ecbs. Whether you choose to pay in cash or in CVS ecbs doesn’t have anything to do with Johnson and Johnson. Good luck!
I usually purchase multiple things in the transaction. That way they cannot tell what coupons apply to what items.
